    Likely:
Maloney - I agree 100% with Tac's logic on this one, and the man plays at a high level already. I think he also gives versatility as a depth center back if absolutely necessary during a tournament.
Trusty - approaching his prime, played a full season in EPL, and maybe back up from the Championship by then. And it's a big position of need, especially with Ream likely aging out.
    50/50:
Slonina - I'd actually probably put him at slightly greater than 50/50. I see him passing Schulte with a couple more years of development, and then being our clear top young GK. Any smart coach/program will understand the value of letting a guy like that experience the tournament, even if he is almost entirely unlikely to play.
Brooks - Yes, that's my prediction here for a coin-toss chance of being in the roster. Fresh start with the program under new coaching leadership. Still playing in Bundesliga, and offers a left-footed, composed CB option, plus a dangerous target on set pieces. Very, very few of us would have predicted Ream's reemergence into the fold before the last WC, and I think Brooks could come back around in a similar fashion, but even younger than Ream was at this time during the last cycle.
    Long shots:
Paredes - Among the young wingers, I think he's the most likely. Seems to be playing at the highest level between that group (P. Aaronson and Booth being the other primary candidates), and he seems to have been the offensive focal point at the Olympics. What's likely keeping him and the other young offensive players off the roster is our current depth in winger and offensive-mid positions. What I think also tips Paredes above the others is some comfort and experience as a wingback, offering more versatility.
Koleosho - big "if" for him to commit to the US, which is what puts him down my list. But if he did, I'd bump him above Paredes and probably into much more of a roster lock. Basically I'm putting him here because I think there's a chance he doesn't have a clear path onto Italy's squad and starts to reconsider where he'll commit.

I’m excited for Luna, I like his style so I’m rooting for him. In recent times, Malik Tillman hasn’t backed up Gio very well so it’s not crazy to think that Luna could make 2026 if the cards fall in his favor

    My picks
    2 Likely Additions
    Kevin Paredes
    Auston Trusty
    2 50/50s
    Tanner Tessmann
    Griffin Yow
    2 Long Shots
    Rokas Pukstas
    Caleb Wiley
Plenty of other options, just wanted to add that Pukstas overtaking LDLT for that final midfielder spot is something that I believe could genuinely happen in the next 2 years. Especially if he gets a big move next summer to a top 5 league like I think he will.

The focus on the 6 is appropriate.
I would completely remove Tyler Adams from all USMNT roster projections. It's been over a year since he played regular soccer. I think you're betting on the unlikely if you assume he's going to play a full season for a Bournemouth team quickly improving their roster with exciting young players. I have a hard time putting thought equity into a guy who hasn't been playing and has no immediate plan to play.
Also, the 4-2-3-1 is a popular formation, especially in international formats. Unless the USMNT is going to stick to dogma in a 4-3-3, which I actually expect, then the need for another guy who can operate in a double-pivot increases... so just another reason to be laser-focused on the 6.
Maloney is at the top of my depth chart. It was inexcusable to leave him off the Copa roster, and in terms of recent experience on the resume there's nobody doing it better than him. Tessmann is either going to harden offensive qualities to his game and establish himself as top league material, or he'll plateau as he takes on a new challenge in Serie A. Regardless of order on the depth chart, I'd take both Maloney and Tessmann to the next major tournament.

Very entertaining as always with Adam. Two things. One, I don’t track with this Brandon hate. He’s was absolutely instrumental in Berlin staying up playing balls out at the end of the season. He’s going to start every game for Leeds if healthy and they wanted him back bad. He has also hit the weight room. He’s going to WC26, Paredes is going to go barring some huge drop off in form. He has only upside. As for Tessman, he simply did not look fit during the Olympics. 50-50 I’d say. Finally, there are times I think the USMNT should NOT play with a 9. Pulisic should be a shadow striker, where frankly he has been hugely effective at Milan, keeping central, and Gio should play the 10, and with our depth in wingers can sub in two new fresh guys at 65 to run at tired defenders.

I fully understand why people were against Gregg Berhalter, but we ALL MUST get behind the next manager of the USMNT, no matter who it is. This team will go nowhere if the fanbase continues to be divided, negative, and toxic the way Berhalter 2.0 became. Do we care more about being right about the manager or winning? This shouldn’t be a question, but it certainly felt like winning was unimportant, even counterproductive, to most of the fanbase during the last 12 months or so.

The criticism on GGG all along was that he seemed to prioritize “style and culture” over winning all the time. The criticism has always been about a lack of results against tough opponents, and scraping our way through tournaments.
The right manager is a winning manager, or a least a manager that will slowly improve the results over time. It’s really not that complicated.
People didn’t praise Weah because they didn’t want the US to win. They praised Weah because the USMNT has been LOSING and getting worse even before the Panama game.

Doesn't matter that much who gets on the team. If you can't get teammates to act like a team and teams to actually care, not act like they care we will just be a bunch of individuals hoping that's good enough.
Frick, the Dutch are masters at being excellent skilled individuals and weak sauce when it matters.
25yrs ago the US was never going to bring a weak sauce effort as a team. It was the skill that was missing.

The answer to the money is simple! Go to MLS owners and “tax” them $200,000 for the U.S. Federation and split the money down the middle between Hayes for the women and the other half add to whatever “budget” the USA Federation has for a men’s coach for a 20 month contract! The MLS will profit because their status will go up at TV contract negotiations and soccer will have a legitimate chance to move into a serious conversation as a top 3 sport behind American Football! How stupid are these pundits to not float this idea? 200K is nothing to these owners vs. the incredible upside on a investment if we can get past the 2nd round in 2026 WC at HOME!
