Hello there, It would be interesting if your reactors (and you, certainly) could try the real Mexican Barbacoa. Where can I share you a video about it? I cant put here the link because it would be deleted (By the way,m there is an Egyptian guy on such video). On other hand, it is quite interesting that a Mexican holiday permeated so hard on the United States, just like Saint Patrick's day xD
Mexico’s Independence Day was actually September 16. Cinco De Mayo is a celebration of the victory in the battle for Puebla. Cinco De Mayo is a bigger deal in America than most places in Mexico. 😅
@@kawaiiburguer9079 The Battle of Puebla was fought during the US civil war. The French Army planned to easily defeat Mexico and use it as a toehold to support the Confederate Army. The Mexican Army's victory largely helped the Union as the French weren't able to advance and attack the US Union, and thus as a show of solidarity with Mexico and Puebla (which is mostly the only place in Mexico that celebrates it today), Cinco De Mayo was celebrated every year, mostly in Southern California. Nowadays it's mostly an excuse for Americans to eat Mexican food and get drunk while they mistakenly think it's Mexico's independence day. Lol

The tamales look like burritos and not tamales. It's almost heartbreaking. However, I am assuming that you were doing the best that you could with what you had. Also, the guacamole only looked like it only had avocados. Where are the tomatoes and cilantro? That may be true… but in the state of Puebla - at least where I lived, they would shut down school for that day and have this big ass parade at the state capital
I've heard that the reason americans make such a big deal with Cinco de mayo is because if France would have beat and conquered Mexico, they would have conquered the US aswell or recover some of the lost territory in time, remember it was 1862 and at that time France's army was cosidered the most powerful in the world.

The slightly charred bits were the best! Thank you to reactistan and everyone there ❤️❤️❤️
You should also try sugar roti or its called vashmallay i guess. Its made with sugar on rooti . Its soft and sweet . You can enjoy it with coffee or mostly tea.
Yea, A lot chilies were exchanged from Mexico and India. I like that Mustafa shares what they do in his village, this way we get to learn about his life. I'm grateful that he's sharing glimpses of his life and I encourage all of the viewers to talk to their own grandparents if possible and find out about their lives
I love how much Mustafa has changed over time, before he was stern and unwilling to compliment just about everything that did not come from his village, but now he's just stern and unwilling to compliment anything not from his village without listing how it could be made better🤣. But seriously though, he has really opened up and it's great to see. I think it's important to have a person like Mustafa do this show, as a village elder he has influence in his community and showing him the good side, like food, of people from other countries that they normally don't see is important for healthy relations between different cultures.

That may be true… but in the state of Puebla - at least where I lived, they would shut down school for that day and have this big ass parade at the state capital
Yes we get it, just stfu and let us drink our margaritas without bringing that up every single year.
I've heard that the reason americans make such a big deal with Cinco de mayo is because if France would have beat and conquered Mexico, they would have conquered the US aswell or recover some of the lost territory in time, remember it was 1862 and at that time France's army was cosidered the most powerful in the world.
As a Mexican I can only be grateful for everytime you have introduced my culture to them and for doing your best to make it as close as possible with the Ingredients you have. Gracias 💚🤍❤️🇲🇽 🇵🇰
Yes, maybe they can't prepare same recipe but we have to thanks for the try.
fellow sister? I see.
Wish I could ship them some legit tamales tho....I almost screamed when I was them. 😂
It's a joy seeing everyone loving most of the food presented to them. Hmm...Mexican and Pakistani culture has some interesting similarities:
1. Deeply religious
2. Had to historically shake off multiple colonizers
3. Loves spices in their food
4. Loves tamarinds
5. Thriving civilizations for thousands of years
6. Never afraid to throw big celebrations and live it up
7. Never afraid to wear colorful clothing and celebrate their cultures
Wow I am Pakistani but I did not know that. Thanks for sharing
Also the importance of family in both cultures! Both countries tend to have big closely binded families
Absolutely
And one more thing to add is that both cultures are very family orientated
You forgot another similarity the moms use chapals(slippers)/chanchalas as their primary weapon for ass whopping.
My eyes hurt from reading “CINCO DE MAYO FOOD”
Ikr the ignorance 💀
@@sweetmess1993 y’all going too hard for being some no sabo ass kids lmao
@@2livendie331 most of the US people continue believing that cinco de mayo it's the mexican independence day and celebrating it when in reality it's just an conmemorative date that no one in Mexico celebrates or considers that important (the actual independence day is on September) :/ at least they could make a little more research on that
Also... what's the "sabo" word you typed?

So tonight I ran out of money for bread, and I was like ‘I know! I can try make roti!’ And omg it was so nice, I much preferred to everything else I was eating. The recipe is so simple (I just made it plain), and after playing about with the thickness of the roti and the temperature I made something that probably isn’t as good as real roti, but delicious nonetheless. The slightly charred bits were the best!
Thank you to reactistan and everyone there ❤️❤️❤️
Good job trying something new!!
@@Rainy-In-The-Desert thank you so much 😊
If you're feeling creative sometime soon try making paratha, it's a different kind of roti lots of people really enjoy :)
@@hassanshahid2279 ooh thank you! I think I will give it a go ☺️
You should also try sugar roti or its called vashmallay i guess. Its made with sugar on rooti . Its soft and sweet . You can enjoy it with coffee or mostly tea.
The lady in purple was so excited and happy about her food. I love her! 🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰
Oh how I love naseeba 🤣 "before bringing the food you give such a long speech"
Meaning, she could have been eating while she was talking! I love Naseeba!
She is savage every time and I love it

Lame lol 😂
but he is right though, it does have a ton of sugar
Fact: During the Asia-New Spain trade spices were exchanged...neither curry nor mole would exist today without that exchange.
:O Didn't know that, to a mexican, that's interesting!
Yea, A lot chilies were exchanged from Mexico and India. Its absolutely hilarious seeing the debates regarding spicy food between Mexico and India but when you see the ingredients you will find Indian stuff in Mexican dishes and even if Indians try and deny it they will see a couple of Mexican chillies on their recipes as well.
I'm Mexican and I couldn't contain my happiness when Mustafa said he actually enjoyed the food
Please give them ripe avocados! 😭 it hurts my soul that they think they are bitter.
It is hard to get one because it doesn't grow in their country
If they're anything like me, most of them would scoff at anything made from avocados, ripe or not. DO NOT WANT
@@abTOTY yeah
YES! I was like bitter avocado? Must not be too ripe sigh
Or the chips were burnt.. burnt chips are always bitter
Love your honest and varying opinions and your great sense of humor!
Mexican independence day is actually on September 16th but thank you for trying our food wish you could actually try it from Mexico sometimes people don't make it right, like the tamales could've been made much better but still happy to see this
YES, I would be thrilled if they did a 16 de Septiembre show this year!!
I’m not Mexican but even I knew those were strange tamales. I would love for them to be able to travel or have food made by chefs from the different countries.
You are Welcome here in Pakistan and try our Pakistani dishes.
Those weren't tamales . They didn't even look to be made out of corn ? Maybe some kind of mini burrito .
Hey esther
Hello from the country of Mexico! I am glad you have tried and enjoyed some of our foods!
Me siento agradecida por compartir nuestra cultura gastronómica, lamentablemente estando en otros países y por la falta de materia prima del país no se pueda compartir cómo es auténticamente. Los esperamos en México para que prueben lo Auténtico 🥰
The woman who eats everything is delightful I love her voice and the enthusiasm in it blessings on you and your family 😁
Mustafa. "This meat is beyond me. i will try the sauce."
I guess the Mole is not like how they make it in his village.
It was too hard for him to break off
Those tamales didn't look like any tamale I've ever had. they looked more like spring rolls. Those folks missed out.
Friendly reminder the singular form is tamal not tamale. Haha.
But yeah, those tamales were pretty sad.

The real victory is that Mustafa actually liked most of the dishes! A Cinco de Maya victory in every sense, the might of Mexico even in food!
The funny thing is that it isn't even real mexican food cinco de mayo food isn't authentic mexican food imagine if these village people went to Mexico n tried real authentic mexican food n explored there culture they wouldn't want to leave they would stay there cuz they would love it lol

Paarwati is soo lively and enthusiastic I absolutely love her. She appreciates every food item with so much hype haha it's just too wholesome. Just give her the recipe of the Mexican Flan already she seems to totally love it😂❤
The woman with the bangles/ bracelets is savage and is always roasting the host 😂😂😂😂... I really don’t understand why the host starts everything with a history lesson 😂
i guess it is to let them know about the countries and what people eat there
Kind of wish they told them about the history of mole. There's different accounts of its origin, one which states that it was made for Aztek ruling class. Others claim it was invented for a king's visit. Either way it was a food made for royalty.
Love the history lessons. These village people deserves to know.
Actually 5 de Mayo is not a national holiday in México, but people from the USA think it is XD
but thank you all for making more people know about our food and loving it :3
I like that Mustafa shares what they do in his village, this way we get to learn about his life. The tales of the elderly are to be cherished and recorded, they won't be here forever and if they won't pass them on they will take their stories to their graves. I'm grateful that he's sharing glimpses of his life and I encourage all of the viewers to talk to their own grandparents if possible and find out about their lives
"Remove it? If you don't, I'll eat it!" True words
...and then she did XD
"No one can stop me"!
Aww but this crew are all so awesome I love them all. They are truly so daring to try all this food and more! God bless them all.
This means a lot that you guys would use Cinco de Mayo for an Episode. Amazing
Cinco de Mayo is usually a big commercial holiday in the US, especially for restaurants and promotions; much bigger than in Mexico. As an aside, there are still remnants of the French in México, especially in the DF where there are still thriving French convents and schools.
I’m coming from a more of a historical acknowledgment perspective and less of a Holiday acknowledgment view.
I did a little exploring through culinary books and allot of our dishes was inspired by y'all culture and food

@Ibrahim Neyaz I beg to differ🤔
@Ibrahim Neyaz don't compare ...i took offend as I am mexican. Food is food different flavors. Personally indian food is very very good as well as my place from mexico.
@Ibrahim Neyaz dude i bet curry its nothing compared to mexican tacos XDDD (im mexican dont take this as a joke)
@Ibrahim Neyaz and also mexican food its a mixture of flavours so basically indian food would just taste like water infront of mexican food

Fun- real fact, 5 de mayo is more of a celebration in USA than in México.
Yep so true. I had a woman tell me this who se husband is Mexican.
The panel is so nice and respectful to other cultures. Beautiful
When are sending an American to spend a weekend eating with Mustafa in his village?

Paarwati is a Mexico stan. As a non-american living in the Southwest USA, its fun to watch her enjoy food I enjoy all the time (except the tamale taquitos lol).
Just FYI, that is not even close to a tamale. More like a flauta or an unfried taquito, really.
Also, somebody needs to send Paarwati on a trip to Mexico! :D

the "mole" must have some red/ White rice as a side dish so you can enjoy it better.
that "tamales" looks more like chimichangas/burritos and is a tex mex dish.
