I absolutely love my prose set! With the fragrances, I noticed when I changed my consultation the fragrance options changed, so I emailed them and they said they can adjust it to my old one if I wanted! They have really great customer service. I also love that I can focus on all of my hair care wants and needs instead of just 5. So far, my hair just feels amazing. I've been using the isphan scent and love it. Since I'm getting my hair colored next week, I decided when the isphan didn't come up as an option to try the fruitesme, which is pineapple, coconut, and vanilla one. I'm curious how the scents compare! The pre-shampoo mask is amazing and I love that you don't need much shampoo or conditioner either. My hair is down to my butt, so I tend to use a ton of shampoo and conditioner, but with this I found I didn't need to use as much! With a bit of water, it spreads through all my hair. I've found it to be totally worth the price. I love that it takes into account where I live to account for water hardness, wind, humidity, etc. and that you can have them double check by sending them pics of your hair. I'll definitely continue using prose!
@@cymothoa.exigua I think they may have reformulated because the bottles that I recently ordered of FOB definitely has silicone in it. It was my 3rd repurchase but it feels so different and shedding has increased. Just FYI. I'm waiting to hear back from the company about the formula change, but dimethicone is in the ingredients list for my new bottle.
Right on the website for FOB they state that they do use silicones. My hair has never felt better since using their haircare products. I used some my friend had and finally ordered my own along with the leave in conditioner to try.

I don't need a deeper shampoo for oil and I don't need a deep conditioner. My previous deep conditioner literally did nothing; Prose conditioner made my hair soft as butter and so easy to detangle.
Ive been using prose for about a year and my hair has never been healthier. I had some tender, itchy scalp issues and theyre totally gone. I have very curly afro textured hair and was worried it wouldnt work for me, but they keep updating and tweaking their customization process. I can ask for thicker conditioner, different fragrances, or change what i need based on my hair health. Highly recommend.
Awesome video! I did function of beauty for a while and really enjoyed it, I also loved with function of beauty you can pick your bottle size making it an even better value. So I ordered a bigger bottle of shampoo and and a smaller bottle of conditioner. The only thing I found frustrating with function of beauty is limiting the concerns to 5, I find there are at least 2 more concerns I want to add. I just ordered prose for the first time, so will see how that goes, I LOVE all the detail with prose, excited to see if it makes a difference!

The limited fragrance options for Prose is because they may have not had the other fragrances available for the type of care you were needing. That's what mine told me. I had a lot of options, but it said that some of the options may not be available in the mixture I needed.
I currently use FoB and absolutely love it, my hair feels alive again and I don’t lose as much hair as before but I’ve always lost a lot of hair so to me losing hair is normal lol & I do have so much baby hair growing right now it’s insane! I love it!

Jessica Knutson yes that must be an update! 1 year ago that was not the case. They reached out to me last year and thanked me for addressing the limited fragrance options per formula and said they’d work on changing that. Looks like they must’ve made that change
I found that out too, I live in Canada and I tried to do there quiz and the I got stuck at postal code because I don't have a 5 number postal code it's 6
QUESTION! Cooper, did prose offer any shipping option other than USPS? Even if it means paying shipping? I was loving my function of beauty but ultimately had to cancel after too many missed shipments or my shampoo ending up at a neighbors :( post office where I am is Notoriously awful and function had no other option to ship. 😭
I love my function of beauty set but had to switch to prose because even the fragrance free products in FoB irritated my scalp so much. I'm just allergic to something in their formula, Prose works well too just without the irritation
If it changes your opinion, I looked into function of beauty recently and they now have hair masks, leave in treatments, etc. Not just shampoo and conditioner.
I've been using FoB for about a month, but based on your review- I ordered the hair mask from Prose! Went with the Signature scent and currently air drying...so we'll see😊
I have just ordered Function of beauty in the past few months and they now have a mask a leave in conditioner and a hair oil. They also offer a silicone free option.
Amy McElfresh The prose shampoo kind of makes my hair tacky while washing. You know that really hard sticky feeling? But once you add in the conditioner, and then wash it out it feels amazingly soft. However, mine both had silicone in it. I might change that for next time just to see if that was my problem with the shampoo.
You should also try formulate; I haven't tried it yet. It's another customizable hair treatment and wordering what's best between the other two as well? The color packaging of the bottles are black, white, or gray, and that of which involves a bee hexagon.
I love the Corsica scent for my Prose set, started with the Ispahan and didn’t like the scent - it’s supposed to be Lychee, Rose & Raspberry but it only smells like rose and not the other ones. I have seborrheic dermatitis and Prose has helped a bit with their scalp scrub and the leave-in conditioner...but I still have a bit of an itchy scalp...
Have you had a chance to try Formulate custom hair care? I was wondering how that compared.Also, Function of beauty has a leave in conditioner now that may trump Prose hair mask.
I mentioned at the end of the video that Prose has a higher price point, about $30 each for shampoo & conditioner and about $40 for the hair mask I believe
Function of Beauty’s website says the shampoo and conditioner is always made without sulfate parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, or gluten, and are always certified vegan and cruelty-free and you can get it without silicone if you like.

They only give you too fragrance options because the rest do not work with your hair chemistry. i.e. I have really oily hair and my results only gave me one option because the other essential oils they use will cause more oil.
Depends on the length and thickness of your hair! I use more conditioner than shampoo since I have medium/long length hair. I wash my hair every 2-3 days
@@aidenbielefeld5005 I got the pear scented one, it’s to deep condition, fix split ends , hydrate, nourish roots and strengthen. It’s pretty good, although you still gotta do more than just use that shampoo and conditioner, I use a bunch of other stuff on my hair.
Chrystal Greene thank you!! I almost always use whatever bronzer I’m using for the day as my crease shade, and then I take a bronzy highlighter all over the lid! If I go the extra step, I’ll take a dark brown shadow and a think brush and smudge a little on the lash line :)
I recently ordered my 1st purchase of FoB shampoo, conditioner and their leave in. I have recieved the leave in in the mail first(I ordered shampoo and conditioner separately) and I put one pump of it on my collarbone length hair(my hair was dry, not wet) and I brushed it and it left my hair feeling so soft and the scent I chose is nude (p)each and it smells soooooo good. I would definitely give it a try. I cant wait for the shampoo and conditioner to arrive!

It's HORRIBLE!! It leaves your hair coated and just plain GROSS feeling, seriously the worst my hair has EVER FELT!!

Prose organizes their fragrance options by type (“floral” “fruity” etc.) there should be a little tab at the top that lets you switch between them :)

the fragrance part of prose is that u were only looking only the floral section, you have to go under the sections on the top
