Same. The irony and hilarity of this video is they fashion themselves with the wardrobe of western culture and title themselves with creating “cool”. It’s very cringe worthy and desperate. But hey they can stay delusional if they’d like.
The first time I heard the word "cool" used was in the 1950's when my teenage male cousin described a relatives' success as 'coool'. I would describe my cousin as cool. He wore a conk ..konk, pleated slacks, leather Stacey Adams shoes, walked with the slightest dip and was laid back.

It was the birth of black cool i'd say in '92. Then basketball was becoming king and Michigan and the Fab 5 were turning the basketball world upside down with the swag and mystique. Rap music was becoming just mainstream with Kris Kross, Warren G and Snoop Dogg emerging and really being the gateway acts that brought it real commercial cred. Then this was when Hood movies were coming out and becoming a part of american sub culture and the black power and Malcolm X was being exploited for the commercial gain to profit and that's my essay on the birth of black cool. years later i find that the people who were boring people and turned to hip hop culture to shed that insecurity are nothing to envy. in the end, there's a certain swag to everyone and capable of being as attractive.
My coolness comes from American soil. Nothing to do with Africa. Right now Africans are mimicking Black Americans. Look at out style vs an Africa. It's not the same. This IS some BS

Love this, thank you for sharing!
I disagree. I think black ppls coolness is spiritual. Particularly black Americans, we are the chosen people of God and are His royal priesthood which is why we have been given so much talent and influence. It’s purpose is to inspire the rest of the world to worship The Most High.

Y'all gotta stop man, being "cool" didn't originate from no damn West Africa, it originated with Black Americans. Lol
We are literally the definition of what "cool" from the way we walk, talk, & carry ourselves. The PanAfrican theme is cool but knock it off, everyone copies their swag from Black Americans.
West Africans have their own swag, their own deep & well developed fashion & dress sense, adornment, jewellery & woven textiles.

White cool is heavily influenced by Jimmy Hendrix
@Amadu Kamara on god! Jimi changed everything. He showed those white boys how to rhyme, actually have swag (they’re still working on it), etc. You should’ve seen how they were before Jimi got on the scene.
Every culture has their “cool”. Black culture just made it very important for survival in recent times.

Is being cool not working or taking care of your kids
You do know this happens a lot in white homes as well. Also there are a lot good blacks k families but the media loves to provide an agenda. Also if you study history about what changed with the black family you will be shocked . President Lyndon Johnson took fathers out of the home on purpose ti make blacks fail . Most people know this . Thank God a good number of blacks have a good home now but some still are suffering from what . Research about Red lining and Johnson putting blacks in ghettos to depend on the government . Again , most blacks don’t live in the ghetto and are now thriving but some are still there .
Black Americans culture
Okay BET,this is cool content I live for 😎
I would have thought this was just like propaganda to make black people feel like we started everything all the time but this makes sense because even when you think about like black people in the church older black women loved coming in their sunday's best with their fancy as hats and everything the cutest brooches like we've been doing this forever

Ain't enough of it if you ask me.
I agree black people have "cool" ingrained deeply into their culture more than any other and I'd say blacks have a "cooler" personality on average but just a thought for discussion. What do you think about the Brad Pitt, Leo, Clint Eastwood archetype? Isn't that the epitome of cool as well?
ofcourses
I personally don’t think so, but that don’t mean Clint, brad, and Leo aren’t awesome. However, black Americans have shaped cool into something that literally influenced the world.
White cool guys ON SCREEN, YOU HAVE EYES....YOU KNOW.👈🏾💯💅🏾
I always thought black people were the opposite of cool.
Same. The irony and hilarity of this video is they fashion themselves with the wardrobe of western culture and title themselves with creating “cool”. That is, wearing glasses that were popularized under Hollywood by white actors and entering fashion from then on, or say, Also wearing the whole collection of a 3 piece suit; ties, buttoned up shirts, vests, collars, cuff links, tuxedos etc were by origin of European men but according this video, they integrate themselves into the dress of western culture and call themselves “originators”. It’s very cringe worthy and desperate. But hey they can stay delusional if they’d like.
"Coolness" will lead to the individuals downfall. Don't be cool, be smart; be you.

Okay BET present this on tv 🖤
The first time I heard the word "cool" used was in the 1950's when my
teenage male cousin described a relatives' success as 'coool'. I would
describe my cousin as cool. He wore a conk ..konk, pleated slacks,
leather Stacey Adams shoes, walked with the slightest dip and was laid back.

Best part is, NOONE CARES! You'd get more respect for being yourself than someone not.

It was the streets and not the entertainers that were cool. The walk was the pimp. The greeting was passing skin. GOUSTERS from Chicago were the cool kids. You can see their dress in Cooley High. The alternatives, also cool, were Ivy Leaguers who wore hair styles called Quo Vadis.

To me cool is self-aggrandizement. Distinguishing yourself from others(standout) in every aspect. The reason we have megalomaniac leaders in Africa fckin the continent up. In the west, look at hip-hop culture. "Am the man''....
