I have to say, it concerns me greatly that they are on such tight timelines, rehearse relentlessly, and do so many interviews. I sure hope they have a staff who gives them physical therapy, massages, and do everything possible to keep them healthy. I can’t believe what a fantastic work ethic they have!

They literally filmed this yesterday. I don’t think it’s one take, when the camera goes up to the sky, they are suddenly behind the building in a park. Along with other small cuts transitioning from room to room but it is very long periods of recording. That whole park scene is one shot for sure. Someone involved in the making of this posted on IG that they crammed a 3 day shoot into one day. These boys got off a plane, jet lagged as hell in the middle of the night to wake up and film this whole performance, just to wake up early again to deliver their speech nation wide. Incredibly hard working and I’m so proud of them.

I wish I had just an ounce of their determination and commitment. Proud is such an understatement.
Honestly, it probably wasn't *quite* as demanding as it sounds; they had the long flight to catch a good sleep. And Eastern Standard midnight is near noon in Korea, so working in the middle of New York's night was actually the time-schedule they're used to. Still, cramming that much shooting into one day is....yeah. But now it's done and they can get a good rest and relax a bit. :)

Also, we can be comforted that they flew business, if not first class - if not on their own chartered plane! :D Still, I hope they get enough rest after the first 3 packed days. I totally agree. I had a total knee replacement in March and their videos, their RUclips’s shows and songs just kept my spirit happy and motivated me to exercise and get this new knee working. Glad I am part of #ARMY too. Love you #BTS_txt.💜

BTS is SUPER EXTRA LARGE! And this time all of them had parts in the speech. For the PTD performance, brilliant and amazing choreography and flow plus execution at its finest. Aside from all of them looking so damn good, their live vocals were superb, even better than the official MV. Good job Mr. Son (choreographer)! Perhaps the reason he went to NYC a week in advance (was at the VMA) was to do a look-see of the UN venue so he can plan the choreography and flow of the performance. It reminded me of the Dynamite performance at the Grammy...coming from inside and ending at the helipad with the beautiful view. This time, it started from the assembly hall then outside through the symbolic 7 doors and with the facade of the UN HQ building and ends at the UN grounds showing the NYC skyline across the river (Hudson River is am not mistaken). BTS and BH always surpass their own previous performances. Good job as well to the flash mob dancers.
It's ARMY and not Armies. Once again it's a request ppl plz do not use armies as we r not our country's military system. And plz respect the military army and use ARMY not armies
maybe there was a cut when they entered the park, but it doesn't matter, the performance as always, was impeccable and they gave their best, both there and in their speech. I'm very proud of them😩💜
I've been to The UN General Assembly room, art display area and side courtyard. It is Huge! You have to be background checked, get special ID and go through two security check points to enter the grounds. There is an awe inspiring gravitas to being there. The large Gold wall with the UN emblem is gorgeous. I am so proud that BTS have given another great speech about climate change and performed so beautifully there.
Oh yes, gravitas is the perfect word! It is a beautiful and timeless assembly hall and puts you in mind of high ideals and global, altruistic aspirations. I love the deep green marble-y stone and the copper gold backdrop. The UN has been heavily criticized in recent years for failing to live up to its mandates and for being just another glorified 'talk shop', as many of these international forums unavoidably have to be... but I'm still so inspired by the ideals behind it. I went there as a kid with my dad who was there on business; I grew up in an international environment, so places like the UN (which is designated "international territory" and not US territory) and big airports and events like the Olympics feel like home to me. And I love the UN scenes in the movie The Interpreter (first one allowed to be filmed on the actual UN premises) with Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. Anyone who hasn't seen it should check it out - it's a really good film.

You are correct in that the UN has become more of a tell and no show type of organization, but hope one day the ideals that brought it together will be more powerful and relevant to the worlds unification and peace.

HI DT, there were actually 5 other performers that performed at the UN Headquarters but BTS is the first K-Pop group to perform at the UN. Their speech was phenomenal and insanely well written. All the boys were great at presenting their speech and showing ARMYs answers to BTS’s question to what they were presenting. Let’s just say I had tears in my eyes and I had chills just listening to everything they said. I am so proud of who they are as human beings and how they are providing hope for everyone in the time we are going through. I loved your reaction and I so look forward to more!!!💜💜💜💜

There are 7 real nickel-bronze doors at the north entrance, and they said it was donated by the Canadian government. There are four bas-relief plates on the exterior side of each door, each symbolizing peace, justice, truth, and fraternity.

The editing was so perfect it looked like one take...one complete shot...but it had many cuts in it...but so flawlessly you can't tell. One way to know...Jin has a wardrobe malfunction...his shirt comes untucked in the back...the next cut..his shirt is tucked back in. But you are right..it looks like one continuous shot! It's the brilliance of BTS's production team! Brilliant logistics and camera work!

We are so happy because we are happy for them. The NY skyline was beautiful as the camera panned around them. I am only about two hours away from NY, so close, yet so far away.💜💜💜💜💜
BTS basically landed in New York and in the next 48 hours, they filmed this performance (starting at 1 am on Saturday night and into Sunday morning), delivered their speech the next day at a session beginning at 8 am, and then did some interviews alongside President Moon. And then they had a cultural visit to the MET (museum) with the First Lady of Korea - I think that was the day after the speech (today). Phew! Wonder what else they have scheduled! Jimmy Fallon show, anyone? ;P Oh yeah - Beyonce (2012) and Shakira (2015) performed solos in the same General Assembly hall - they stood on the platform and sang and, 'back then', the auditorium was full. I don't think anyone has filmed while running around the premises like this, so yes, this was very unique and probably a first - basically filmed a whole MV with the UN as a backdrop!

All of them spoke during their speech. I believe it was 4 shots - inside the hall, at the lobby, outside the doors till the tilt up to the sky then tilt down to them walking and dancing at the grassy area. There was no shadow of the camera outside though so that was cool and they used natural lights outside too but maybe had a grip holding the frontal light/s that moves with the camera . Over-all so amazing and cool to watch.
I just know how proud of our guys!! My heart is overflowing with love & pride!! So many happy ARMY’s today~ They are such a great & encouraging source for not just ARMY’s but others around the world💜💜💜
♦️Apparently an inside source said that BTS, such hard workers, spent hours recording that video (VCR) earlier at the UN to be shown right after all the members so brilliant speeches, (right after President Moon's speech, who also introduced all BTS ever so proudly), so that all the participating dignitaries in attendance could not just hear their speeches but watch the VCR to see them actually perform as well!!

permission to dance perfectly ties up their message at the UN today too, i couldn't guess of a more fitting song than this it was a historic moment truly

There are 7 real nickel-bronze doors at the north entrance, and they said it was donated by the Canadian government. There are four bas-relief plates on the exterior side of each door, each symbolizing peace, justice, truth, and fraternity.

The editing was so perfect it looked like one take...one complete shot...but it had many cuts in it...but so flawlessly you can't tell. One way to know...Jin has a wardrobe malfunction...his shirt comes untucked in the back...the next cut..his shirt is tucked back in. But you are right..it looks like one continuous shot! It's the brilliance of BTS's production team! Brilliant logistics and camera work!

They just bring happiness, so proud to be ARMY and living their moments with them. Their speech was inspiring and this performance amazing. Go BTS!!
BTS basically landed in New York and in the next 48 hours, they filmed this performance (starting at 1 am on Saturday night and into Sunday morning), delivered their speech the next day at a session beginning at 8 am, and then did some interviews alongside President Moon. And then they had a cultural visit to the MET (museum) with the First Lady of Korea - I think that was the day after the speech (today). Phew! Wonder what else they have scheduled! Jimmy Fallon show, anyone? ;P
Oh yeah - Beyonce (2012) and Shakira (2015) performed solos in the same General Assembly hall - they stood on the platform and sang and, 'back then', the auditorium was full. I don't think anyone has filmed while running around the premises like this, so yes, this was very unique and probably a first - basically filmed a whole MV with the UN as a backdrop!
I think UN needs more spacious building for BTS to perform there.💜💜💜

i didnt even know what my reaction was while watching them giving a speech infront of 100 leaders of the world..im speechless and just cant stop crying
All of them spoke during their speech. I believe it was 4 shots - inside the hall, at the lobby, outside the doors till the tilt up to the sky then tilt down to them walking and dancing at the grassy area. There was no shadow of the camera outside though so that was cool and they used natural lights outside too but maybe had a grip holding the frontal light/s that moves with the camera . Over-all so amazing and cool to watch.

♦️Apparently an inside source said that BTS, such hard workers, spent hours recording that video (VCR) earlier at the UN to be shown right after all the members so brilliant speeches, (right after President Moon's speech, who also introduced all BTS ever so proudly), so that all the participating dignitaries in attendance could not just hear their speeches but watch the VCR to see them actually perform as well!!
