I have to wonder if the people who worked on this song and scene had lost friends themselves, because this is so painfully true to what it can be like. You can go for months, feeling pretty normal. Something starts making you think of them, everything rushes back to you, and you cherish every memory but you KNOW they're gone and will never come back. The emotions crescendo like this song and you cry for hours after. God, it hurts.
@@blackosprey2219 I know a lot of the development team also worked on Dragon Quest. In fact, the creator of the series, (as well as the series producer) Koichi Nakamura, was also the director of the first 4 Dragon Quest games.
Unfortunately, the same can hold true for PTSD survivors. Dissociation for months, maybe even years, then one little trigger can be all it takes to send them right back. Memories are a powerful thing.
I've always wondered why this song works so well in making us feel things as we listen to it. Probably helps that it's accompanied by flashbacks of our entire journey up to that point, and Partner still not over losing Player. I wonder, though, if there's any hidden motifs like there are in Don't Ever Forget.
Genuinely teared up listening to this. Found your remasters sometime after I beat the game for the first time in 2020; so happy to have stuck around to hear this so many years later. Amazing work
Dropped by to make sure this project was still available. The ninjas have been very active these past two-ish weeks; they're even going after sheet music transcribers (like Sheet Music Boss). Be careful, and love your/y'all's work!
This is simply a masterpiece. I'm listening to this after just beating the main game for Explorers of Sky and it's making me cry even harder. Fantastic work on this. ♥
Hello, I’d like to thank you for your clear adoration for this game for the past 10 years as it aligns with mine, but you have the gift and skill to create extra content of one of my favorite games ever. Definitely the game besides Kirby and the amazing mirror I’ve replayed the most. But anyways thank you for continuing to release PMD T/D/S content!!
This theme is such an unbelievable masterpiece and a rollercoaster of emotions. 0:33 begins with such a gentle tune, so beautiful and careful. Its like a lullaby made to put a baby to sleep. 1:30 is where the song picks up. The lullaby is followed up by a violin, that creates such a sad and painful melody. It tugs at your heartstrings. There is no sound as melancholic as the one a violin produces, and its executed perfectly, keeping that careful, slow tune. 1:58 the original lullaby comes back, but its a little upbeat this time around. It tries to cheer you up, to reminisce and make you smile. 2:35 brings calm to the song, a peaceful ending, which then begins again in a perfect loop. It goes up and down, it slows down and picks up again. Again - what an unbelievable masterpiece of a song. Calm and excitement, happiness and sadness.
Absolute peak perfection. I never doubted you once my dude. Awesome/beautiful work as always! I wish I had more words to describe how I’m feeling because of how much this game means to me since I was one of the few people who first played Time when it first released way back then, but this remaster left me speechless to say anything else other than what I mentioned here. It’s beautiful my dude. Thats all I gotta say for now. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Randomly found this but damn, actually tearing up. It’s a really good rearrangement too! Close enough to the original but enough to sound very high quality, the type of rearrangements I like alongside just going absolutely bonkers with your style
I almost forgot to listen this!!!! Also man the feelings. 🥲 This music will always be my favorite with dont forget !!!! I really love ur remastered project Great work keep up the good work!!!!!!! ❤❤❤
When the hiatus started, this was the song that I was most saddened that didn't make it out, and now that it is, I couldn't be any more overjoyed ╰(*°▽°*)╯ (●'◡'●) ^_____^

Well over a decade after its release and this game is still making me emotional 🥹

I hear a little bit of have to go home and at the beach at dusk
I hear the explorers guild theme, if you squint your ears at it
@@Bandikit2:31, the Explorer's motif is right there.
@@blackosprey2219 I mean at the beginning of the melody
@@Bandikit Ohhh, I see it there now too
that title wasn't lying
