*Me watching this realising I should never have quit piano*
Laughs in violin

I did
that awkward moment when you can't even play mary had a little lamb
Not awkward, unless you practiced countless hours, year after year and still can't play Mary Had a Little Lamb. Many famous pianists were slaves to the piano from birth.
💜💜
Haktan Maya I can play it now after practicing this piece for about 5 months
Lucas Suzuki if it only takes 5 months, I'm ready to practice
that came out wrong
the piano recordings for this anime just has such rich tones, like you can -hear- how the keys are being pressed down, its not just the pure note of the key being hit, clean and precise like a natural version of synthesia. its like you can feel the piano in it. maybe its nonsense, it just sounds really dahm good and vibrant
I want to play something like this, but first I have to get piano classes..... and a piano.... and years of practice..... and some talent......
e-piano for 300-600€ and then just get a book on music theory and a piano book :)
Yeah, keyboards cost less
And a “ Kaori “ on your side
@@miyamotomusashi2675 xD
You don't need talent, just PRACTICE 40h a day ! (this comment … fills you with DETERMINATION ?)

I just started watching that Anime.
BRING ON THE FEELS!!!!
The sound is so clear~
Ruo Xuan must've put a microphone in or directly above the piano
dunno why other piano recordings, even new ones, arent recorded this -smoothly-
A spring without you is coming...

Definitely one of my favorites from Your Lie In April!
Nick Madore yea i agree!
It's not from your lie in April... Beethoven wrote it
@@pianogeekdan4621 ty, would have written the same :D
Mine too👌😘
I'm just dumbfounded that people can play this?!! It's amazing.
Joseph Metcalf this is a playlist created in perfection many thanks to you. Now I can replay every classical masterpiece from the anime (your lie in april) without the dialogue.
😊👍
0.0 I also came from that playlist!
I think that this interpretation is one of my favourites especially for the first half of the piece. However, Arima Kousei is known to be like a robot and follow the sheet music as close as possible. So since the tempo is presto agitato, it is supposed to be very quick. So I guess the guy that played this piece for the anime should've played this entire piece as fast as he could and follow the sheet as close as possible meaning only pedal at the parts where instructed as kept a fast tempo throughout the entire piece. Clearly this has a lot of his own interpretation and isn't exactly following the sheet fully as what arima is known to have done. Thats what following the sheet fully is supposed to mean isnt it? playing the piece exactly how its written in the sheet. So I guess that's a loophole.
ASM I totally agree, while I really like this interpretation of the song, I believe a much better candidate for playing this piece would be a Pianist like Valentina lisista
ASM
Presto is not prestissimo...
I think the anime scene is right, after is too slow
ASM yes but kousei is a wired pianist
wrong, Arima followed the sheet music exactly
what a reply man. awesome!
Thank you for uploading this sir, you have made the internet a slightly better place !
I'll fade away and classify myself as obsolete
It's sad to see Sister Kaori has been DELETED, in the end.
Arya Aditya Purbadi who's Sister Kaori?

Once you know the #brokenbrilliance, you fill find it very DELIGHTFUL.
If only I could’ve done an essay on this master piece of a show...it truly would take a 1000 words to show,What a beautiful story has been written .The music is pleasant to the ear,The art is melting your eyes with happiness...ok I’ll stop making a such a bad sentence

The music is very good, it fascinates me, the song relaxes me, so whenever I go to sleep I listen to it to relax and relieve myself of stress.
I hope to be able to play like this at some point in my life. I'm only 14 and I'm going to do grade 4 piano in the winter.

First one I've seen to post a vid about it from the anime, your lie in april :P
Super fun piece to play... once you've spent 50 hours practicing it until you can play it with your eyes closed, then all you want to is die when you hear it.
that anime that you start in happiness and end in deep depression
i'm not used to classic music until i watch your lie in april, i think its boring but now i love these classical music because your lie in april, that anime was so heartbreaking but its beautiful though
The Smurfs cartoon series actually brought me here!
Love this so much.
J'aime tellement "^"
This piece is relevant to the main character’s psyche at the beginning of the series. He is fighting with himself as he finds that he cannot play due to psychological blocks. Similarly, Ludwig Van Beethoven was frustrated with himself upon realizing how popular moonlight sonata was. He was even quoted as saying “Surely I’ve written better things”. Similarly to the main character fighting with himself, Ludwig Van Beethoven spent time fighting with himself over moonlight sonata’s popularity.
Coincidence? I think not.
Is it just me that when they listen to this they wave their hands about to the beat
*notes
Your Lie in April has changed the way I interpret music.
Could you PLEASE quote the source and real artist of this performance? It does not coincide with Emil Gilel's style nor Daniel Levy. I would REALLY APPRECIATE if you give us more info to find this pianists, who is different than the aforementioned. Thanks a lot.
This is a really good version. But I still prefer Valentina Lisitsa's. ;)
+nausicaa70
While Valentina's rendition is good, I feel like she took it so fast that she didn't always have optimal control over the harmonics. While she did a very good job in keeping everything together at that speed (believe me, you have to be very good to do it), there's a certain point at which the piano just becomes too powerful to control everything when it's so fast and big like Beethoven's piano.
I feel like Tokomi Sakata was overall the most faithful and accurate to the score, while, of course, maintaining a certain sense of individuality of interpretation. Which is probably why they wanted Sakata to play the parts anyways, because of his rhythmic and harmonic accuracy.
That being said, as a pianist, I prefer this version over Lisitsa's simply because I appreciate the amount of detail and thought given to each note of the piece more than Lisitsa's.
Dominic Fowler No, I think Kempff was most faithful to the score. But I still prefer how this interpretation draws the emotion from each note. It is quite a perfectionnist one.
+Raptor Jesus If you are too faithful to the score, you will eventually be like a machine...with no emotions. This piece-each piece- should be played with the pianist's expressions shown to the people whom are observing/listening to them.
Kylee Sanborn Thank you for paraphrasing what I just said.
what type of piano song would you call this one in which it goes from soft to a louder part then back down and has a feel that it is going towards a final climax?
ipata toe If you were reffering the the one that one girl in the red dress played, I think it's Winter Wind or something. Chopin OP 11 25 or something similar to that...
+Space Orca actually it's etude op 25 no 11, but if you liked that you might like "ocean etude: 25 no 12 " and the waltz "valse 64 no 2". there is also a chance that this dude or girl means "wrong notes: 25 no 5". you're welcome
+Space Orca + Fawad Azizyaar Pretty sure the guy's asking about the tempo.
+ipata toe This is the 3rd movement of Beethoven's Piano Sonata no.14, which Beethoven himself marked its tempo as "Presto agitato".

Tempo marking at 6:27 is wrong
Beethoven never intended to play that part slow. The tempo marking didn't change. The notes are in fast

Via Surigao well, its dealing with emotional trauma, and the ending is bittersweet (I still cried). I'm not gonna say anymore in fear of spoiling :D
how many years of piano would it take to master this piece for a complete noob ?
A lot.
+Asmr Only depends on how many hours a day you plan to practice. 8 hours a day and you could probably do it in a year or two.
+Asmr Only It's different for everyone. If i have one advice to give you: never think about how good you are.
Shazack Thanks for the tip. I've been wanting to play piano ever since i was a kid and i finally will next week, with a teacher. I know i'll enjoy it tremendously even if i'm terrible haha.
+Asmr Only You need a dedication of complete iron will to be able to play this piece in, say, 4 years. That is, if you practice around 5 hours a day, every day.
LOVE IT !!!!
why does this song seem to calm me down
from what anime is ur profile pic?

Your lie in April. The name starts with Shigatsu I believe in Japanese.
+spyx gaming shigatsu wa kimo no uso
it is my fav anime and I watch a lot of anime its has a nice story line it such a sad story but its a good anime u need to watch it
shigatsu kimi no uno!!! its amazing!!!!
Still, even this interpretation can't compete with Valentina Lisitsa's version. However, when I play this piece, it will probably resemble this one more than hers, since I'm not skilled enough to play it so fast.
playing it fast doesn't automatically make it good, Lisitsas performance is horrible. I believe you could do better.
+Killah841 I'd disagree, hers is invigorated, not just fast, and makes the piece sound more like Rachmaninoff, which some may dislike.
Personally, it depends on which version you're talking about. I really like her more recent version with her performing on a grand, but her previous version was slightly disappointing, as in the one on her RUclips channel
Lisita's is too fast.
This version brings out the essence of the song better.
If you never finish the series, nothing bad can happen to the characters, right?
sad
Arima kosei
Kousei
this version isn;t actually following the music sheet correctly, you're not supposed to play this song that fast. It's supposed to be fast, but this is wayyyy to fast
But it's exactly Arima Kousei's personality~
Diane Lin tempo is fitting whats in the sheet and pace is good.
Look at valentina it's almost a minute and a half faster
