Did you get it because you had a recessed chin and it was blocking your airways ?And if so how is your airway now and can you see a notable difference ?Did you lose your nerves on the lower jaw ?
I had this surgery, and it isn’t painful. You’re under general anaesthesia. The nurse put a mask over my face and the next thing I remember I was waking up. After surgery pain is very manageable just with regular Tylenol. And it’s more of a dull soreness than sharp pain. But it’s definitely very uncomfortable. Swelling makes it hard to breathe, you have rubber bands in your mouth; etc…and I got this surgery for aesthetic symmetry reasons, didn’t really have problems with my bite so I only had rubber bands for a week.
There’s jaw surgery in Italy 🇮🇹. Spain 🇪🇸. Germany 🇩🇪. Turkey 🇹🇷. And 🇺🇸 usa if in the uk 🇬🇧 they won’t let me then they might send it to these countries

I had a very large overjet corrected many years ago and avoided surgery by wearing a functional (Andresen) device for 14-16 hours per day from age 10 to 13. It was not easy.

Had surgery on my upper jaw, lower jaw and chin. Very tough but ultimately happy with the result
