Most people who are considered white in Brazil would not be considered white the US. Different colonization processes and differente colonizers. Portuguese people mixed with everyone else (africans and natives) without much concern comparing to English and other northern and western european peoples who colonized north America. So even people who are comparatively white in Brazilian context and considere themselves white, like me, would not be white in other contexts like in the US, since most of us have a big chunk of our ancestors from native or african people even if our skin would be lighter. I would problably just be considered latin in the US and my sister, who is a darker skinned then I am, would be latin or brown or even black (she considers herself "parda" in Brazilian standards). What the guy in the video says about the south is true thou, there is a real white population in Brazil from german and italian migrations in the end of the 19th century.
To an erro in this video, the issue of colorization of our people is very different than in the US, the ''pardos'' are a large part actually black people with lighter undertones however with strong African treatments. The colonization carried out in Brazil destroyed many of our Indians who were always here, we have a lot of African influence due to the large amount of slaves that Portugal brought, in the past they tried to enlighten our people and to this day we have great reflections of this
