Nice job Any buyer should be confident that it’s a complete rebuild lots of new parts in that old girl.🙂
As always a busy busy man who loves his job.
My friend I have learned so much from you during this year.
Keep doing what ya do. Tell wife to Ride safe.
Thanks, will do!
Good looking machine and runs great. I didn't know that about the position of the key way ,I must remember that 😊
Thanks Mike. Small details matter sometimes...
@@randomwrenching yup valuable information 👌
I definitely would have rode the struggle bus with the key way issue great check looking for the difference. At first I was thinking I could easily fix that issue with the assortment of flywheels I have but probably would not have caught the keyway difference until I went to start it. Great job and very informative once again. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching Andy
Somebody is going to get a good lawn mower good video.
He sure did get a good machine, he still loves it! I do the annual servicing on it for him every spring.
Great work and video. Hope you make a profit on it. Engine sounds great.
Thanks for watching!
Very good training videos and thorough Thank you so much.
I been using zip ties for fuel camps on gravity fuel systems, never had a problem, just cheap and easy 😊
Would work fine on gravity systems
Wow, Don, you were in fine form for this one! 👍
Kind of a bummer to see your first flip tractor come back with a stupidly blown engine.
“ You can’t fix stupid, but you can make a living off it. 😉🔧👍”
Too bad you don’t have broaching tools or you might have cut a new slot in that flywheel to make it work. I guess it’s not OK to just figure out where it needed to go and over torque the nut and call it good. 😉🔧👍
I wouldn't trust a guess and torque install on a flywheel unless it was my own unit not to be resold. It is what it is, all part of the game.
Good day Don Bpy I wish the Don's I know would be as handy as u. lol
Wow 275 for new flywheel, prices are crazy.
Wow u have alot of machines there. Thanks
Thanks Don. These days my supply of tractors is zero. I have been doing LOTS of repairs though. The market has dropped WAY down this year, I only sold three so far. No one seems to be buying them right now. Been doing lots of motorcycle and mower repairs though.
I like the briggs motors I never had any issues with them.and another thing if they would break down easy to get parts and cheaper then the other brands
MOST parts are pretty cheap in the aftermarket. If you have to buy genuine Briggs parts, it can turn a resale machine into a parts machine real fast...
B/s that are old are having trouble with magnets coming off also
It’s a shame, eather cam or magnets
Sadly it’s normal now for junk
Flying magnets are not super common for me, but bad cams are.
Great video. Timely also. Putting a flywheel back on a self propelled mower. Your opinion…100 ft lbs or few hits with a 1/2 in battery impact?
What is the briggs model number on it? Many are 55-65, but would need to know the briggs model number to be sure. Some are more, some are less. Check here... outdoorpowerinfo.com/engine_specs/briggs_fly_torque.asp
@@randomwrenching thanks for the info
@@randomwrenchingtorquing a flywheel nut @ 55 ft lbs. my wrenches are accurate and I’ve got arm strength. I couldn’t get it to 55. Got up around 30 then hit with battery impact. Not sure why
That should do it
I think you need a shipping container and start filling it with used parts from old riding mowers and B/S and Honda push mower parts
It will save you many thousands over the years
It sure would. New bigger shop comes first though...
Would you have possibly considered a used flywheel on eBay at one third the cost? Always Enjoy your videos! Thanks.
That's a great question! If it was my own machine and not going to a new owner, sure I would roll the dice and try a used one. This was a refurb for resale, so I din't want to take a risk of a used one doing the same thing on my customer.
That the same deck as a John Deere
Different decks usually.
@@randomwrenching reason why I'm asking is because I'm looking for one for my John Deere 100 series
@@dclawnmaintenanceandsnowre4099 All the 100 series tractors that I have seen use a different deck than this (or any) AYP type decks
