Question for you on a predator 8750 generator I believe the switch for the starter went bad so have been pull start it start right up, I think I have about 2200 hours on it when I pull on the pull start to start on the compression up on the piston stopped me from pulling through my ears to pull rope to move the piston past the compression and try to start the pool. It will run. It goes around like this compression again and then stops me. It hurts my arms so I can’t I don’t understand why it won’t pull through like it used to it just seems like a compressions. Stopping me any ideas what might be going on would be helpful. Thank you.

Nice ! I see you have the slanted license plate holder on the back. I assume it works well with the detachable tour pack conversion ? I don't really want to move my license plate under my tail light either. I just finished fixing the hard wire making it detachable on my 08 Ultra classic. I have both kits I'm going to install tomorrow. Everything has been pretty easy so far. Hopefully it will go well tomorrow also . 😊

Great job on showing us how to adjust the idle/carb.

A tip for you: To keep more carbon from building up, the piece should have been cleaned before putting everything back together. As it is now, you're gonna be adding carbon on top of carbon.

A wise man checks the oil in the engine first. And avoids the possibility of paying for an engine. I like your videos; yes, the US and Canada use different measurements for everything. I also like how you explain things and talk to us folks. I'm not too fond of silent videos. Keep fixing things we will watch.

Seems like a while since I've seen you do just a basic maintenance video. It's a good reminder that with regular maintenance you might avoid a more involved repair. I liked that jack that you used and powered with a drill, pretty cool.

I have the same unit. I'm trying to remove the broken Mower ball and replace. I've found videos on changing the part on other brands but not Craftsman specifically. Can you walk me through how to take off the old and install the new?

How old is this mower ??😮 Strange seeing a plastic seat cover I still pull the drain plug and flush them with half a quart of the oil I’m putting it in Seems to stop the sludge buildup 😊

Well done! The skills to resurrect these old machines are very valuable ones - not just for maintaining heritage or the practical value of keeping working tools alive, but for the vital necessity to not keep wasting the planet by burning fossil fuels to dig yet more stuff out of the ground because the last one stopped working. Congratulations.

Excellent video. Thanks for the information on lifters. My 2008 Troy-Bilt Bronco with Kohler engine has gotten a bit louder recently so I may need to investigate into this further.

I have a craftsman r1000 it's basically the same as that Columbia mower. The issue I'm having is it will not shift and only goes slow. I looked at the shifter on the right side of the steering column and linkage. Still can't figure out why it will not shift to a higher speed. Can anyone help me, please?

Thanks for the great video. Bought a new one of these (JD LA130 48in mower) in May 2007 and am still very pleased with it, has served me well for 17 yrs (so far at 476 on the Hour Meter). Oil/Filter/Air filter change every spring and I do always add fuel stabilizer. I do 3 acres. I have been very lucky with mine so far (only issue is of course, the seat has started to crack in 2 spots). Yes, I would buy this again.

I have the same exact mower. And I had the same exact motor the problem that I'm having is when I start the unit the unit will only idle a little but it will not let me idle up if I try to throttle up it doesn't do anything. Just trying to fix the problem.. if I run the unit without the airbox on it it will run fine the minute that I put the airbox back on it it bogs down to weigh less than idle

Thanks for the video working on a 2002 LT1000 with the exact same engine mine is surging and won’t idle at low speed. Runs fine under load tried adjusting fuel air mixture to no avail at first I got it to stop surging by adjusting idle speed screw but realized that was not the correct way to do it. Suspect I need to clean the carb after watching your video, learned a lot very intuitive.

Hi I’m having problems finding a video that can help me replace the pedestal steering gear sector on this exact same riding mower. Is there any suggestion on how to continue after removing the deck? Because that is as far as I got, lol 😂 thanks

I have one of these engines in my shop with the same exact problem.

I have replaced hundreds of these cams it's a widespread failure, and head gaskets in these engines. The amazon cams work for a couple months and will fail again. good video though.

Hey i know this is random but would anyone here have any idea why my white LT13 only moves when its in speed 2 or 7?

I have a similar problem when the front drive belt broke a weird C clip was on the deck and since that my mower doesn't drive forward very fast.

I put SBC lifters in a 20hp Kohler about 15 years ago, it's still running today. SBC lifters will work in a Kohler.
