Loaded tractor trailer hits the ice! And then the ditch..

- This truck tried to make the turn off the highway a little too fast for the icy conditions and slid through the intersection into the ditch. He was loaded with a fairly light load putting him at between 55 and 60 thousand pounds total weight. Luckily the ODOT plow truck had came by and sanded the spot I needed to sit to pull him out. So I got the @zackliftinternational4841 in place and got him back on the road in one easy pull with no damage.
Thanks to ODOT for the extra sand, OSP for stopping to offer assistance, and Crook County for plowing everything clean when we were done!

"I love it when a plan comes together" A-Team😂 The plow cleared and sanded a tow spot. The Deputy showed up to offer traffic control. The truck got out after a short tow and the plow cleaned up and led you home! Got to love days like that! You deserve a couple of those, given how much you do for other people!
I never read comments first lol Great minds think alike ... or we are of roughly the same vintage! lol
Probably the same vintage, loved that line especially when the plan was not coming together! @@michaelcousins2526
As long as they don't go over to the side of the road and then blame you for getting stuck cause your trucks too big!!! Lol
That plow/sander truck operator had ESP - he knew exactly where you would need to park and hit that area hard. Kudos to all of you true professionals out on the road!
“I have a tool for that!” Casey, I love it when a plan comes together and that you got the job done without any drama! You said you were not good at this, but this episode proved otherwise.
Did Casey remove the clamp off the mudflap though?🤔
@@drafterdb
Probably as he was back there trying to put air in the tire.
@@scots_knight4706 It was still on the mud flap when he handed the triangle back to the driver. That was after he gave up airing up the tire.
@@drafterdb I came here to ask the same thing. Nothing against Casey, but it's one of my "phobias" for lack of a better word.
Casey always carries the 2 most important tools: 1. A hammer & 2. A bigger hammer.
WOW Casey , you made that look very easy! Great planing on how to pull, I was impressed that he was able to just drive out after you had him pulled back a few feet. The driver was very good too , listening to you and doing exactly what you asked of him... Also it was awesome that the plow driver thought about this and had sanded heavily beside the truck. And you say that you never said you was good at this! OH and regular viewers will know what this means. "I Hate Casey LaDelle" 😁 Have a great day everybody!
The plow truck was good at this.
Waking up here in Portland to a pot of coffee and watching Casey have a job go by the numbers. Wishing you another smooth day of rescuing Mr LaDelle ☕️😊
That 130 miles is wonderful.
@dougjohnson4266 From a person that lives in a very wooded area, that place needs trees, and thousands of them.
Sounds like Hwy 50 in Nevada.... Nothing and no one for decades.... Of time and mileage
at first i thought i seen this video 4 days ago i had to watch them side by side to prove to myself this one is different
Within 30 seconds I knew that it was not the same.
@richardthomas1743 yeah, the previous was a deeper ditch.
@@pear7777 Also Ethan and Grumpy were at the previous one. And they had the Silverado that had been loaned to them. Edit spelling.
Another job well done from the man who says, “I never said I was good at this”…….please, you are so good at this. Love each and everyone of your videos, entertaining, informative and very enjoyable. Thanks, Casey, for another video. Take care, stay safe.
Everybody that owns a truck loves hearing "nice truck" it never gets old
You can't take the blue one this time!
It was blue last time! Yellows getting depressed that your not using him enough!
😂😂😂
Holy Cow , It must've been those Sinister looking lug nut covers that caused that truck go into a high speed skid . ! 😂
A simple rubber glove and a rubber band on that air hose fitting on the reel, will keep the water and ice out. Thanks for the shows Casey.
Any viewers want to take a guess at which "finger" Casey would slip air hose in??? :D
I'd just leave a fitting in it as a plug so you don't look like a goober driving around with a glove on your hose. Either way works though.
@@SantaTed-qv4gt I'd say count 2 over and you are on the money. Start at whatever side you like.
Thank you for the video! "OK, let's go pull on stuff!"
Reminds me of Wyoming 100 plus miles between towns and gas stations
Which is why if you see a gas station, you should stop, even for five gallons.
@tedfisk1211 yupper we always did, and we carried a Jerry can full in every vehicle. We also carried survival gear and food in case we got stranded in a blizzard or ran off the road. We moved to Texas, and people thought we were crazy. I still carry gear and medical supplies and life straws in my truck in a go bag.
@@Bigdaddyslasher Good for you! Everyone should have a go bag, no matter where they live. No one can predict the future. Be prepared!
Heh... reminds me of the Alaska Highway (in the 'old days') dirt and gravel.
250 miles (or so)... between gas stations. I also (quickly) found out what a rag tied in the brush along the road meant.
@yowser8780 man I gotta get to Alaska before I die
I could probably watch these videos all day long! That went so smooth and Casey, you've got a great 'on-camera' voice!
130 mile stretch of absolutely nuthin'. Sounds like my kind of place.
Must been the load strap tugging before your got there that made it so easy :)
I have been out on that stretch of road more times than I care to remember to deliver gas for AAA customers. Many times I followed them back to Bend to make sure they made it with the 2 gallons that we carried.
Call The Tire Doctor with his bead blaster . There's a great deal of Geometry in the Heavy Tow business
I had a rare and unique experience just a bit ago. I had a Zacklift sighting in the "wilds" of Central Oregon!!!
Lol the timing of that Plow was just perfect. Nice job.
This was done super wel. True professional.
Clearly the Zack Truck is earning its keep, keep up the good work.
Zacklift is awesome
That Zack lift continues to impress. 😊
You made that look easy. And I know it was hard!! Nice job.
Nicely done, Casey. Now that you have it kitted out, your Zaklift rig is like a Swiss Army Knife on wheels. A Swiss Army Truck if you will. 😊 It seems like you've planned for just about every eventuality. It's almost as if you're good at this. (But we all know better, because you keep saying otherwise, lol.)
Casey + Zacklift 👍😎 For the Win! You make it look Easy! Great Job! That Zacklift is a Beast!😎 You Needed that machine!🎉 Keep up the awesome videos and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
More than half of what you do is educational. Thats more than I can say for modern U.S. school districts. Keep'm coming!
Fairly routine pull out. Having the right tools and talent made it go well. A heavy vehicle bogged in the mud does take more of a pull than people realize. Nice job, overall.
Typically excellent job!
Mr Casey. To him nothing is a problem, he only has challenges. And every challenge always has a solution. As usual, well done Sir.
Awesome job, Casey! Quick and efficient. Thank you for sharing.😊
“Let’s just pull on stuff” story of my life.
That Zacklift never ceases to amaze. Such a great tool👍
Well done Casey.😊
Mr Casey Love the heavy duty videos. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Thank you!
Love seeing the ZackLift in action!!! It’s like the Swiss Army Knife of the road! And, you have it outfitted with tools perfectly and know exactly how to use that beautiful Red & White truck for the best outcome! Prefection!!!
Considerate pre-sanding, nice
Driver's and tow truck operator's always forget the triangles great job Casey
Love it when you point out the 130 miles of Nothing.
zac lift strikes again haha cool
Gooooood morning Casey and thumbs UP!
Nice timing.
Well Done Casey that Zacklift will be payed for in no time good work a many of many talants
Always like when a Casey video is in my feed first thing in the day.
Really putting the Zack into production testing!
Thank you for putting out the triangles and putting them out properly, it is amazing how many people put them out the wrong way, basically directing the traffic to the hazard. Maybe you could do a short on how to properly set up when broke down, you know for the algorithm. Great video as always.
Wow! That was a GOOD one!! Everything went as good as it could possibly go! Can't say that about all of them which is good for us because we like the ones you have to scratch your head to figure out!! LOL!! Good job Casey!!
Im so glad this job looked quick and easy! You deserve that after all of your more difficult ones! Now, how many of the people you have helped are in awe of your truck with the Zacklift? I think its awesome and if I ever get to Bend OR, I would hope to see it in person, doing what its designed for! Ps, telephoto lens, not to interupt your work!😂
Casey riding the gravy train with biscuit wheels on this one...nice!
Good job
I love how prepared you are Casey. Great content ! Keep making videos. I love them. I wish Rusty didn’t get anxious on car rides. lol.
Thank you for another video! Great job!
Yes indeed, I love the way you evaluate the situation and take your time so that everyone is safe! ❤👍
Another fine recovery
one of my favorite stretches of road to drive
Loving that the truck has wheel nut spikes on the front axle...
Thanks for sharing the work you do. And to have an idea of the location makes it that much more interesting for a local couple to watch.
an easy rescue... having the right equipment, a very entertaining video, thank you.
Easy pull for the wrecker.
That was great.
Good one bud
That worked out perfect! You can't really ask for much better than that!
It has to be nice that the drivers appear to be very good about taking your directions.
Have a great day 🌟👍😄
Nice job such an easy pull
Good morning Casey
Good job Casey
I'd suggest a rubber boot for the end of your air line so debre and ice can't gum it up. Nicely done on the recovery. It looked similar to the last one you did by the intro. Keep up the good work.
Interesting , Thank You. Good Job
I have not seen a man as prepared for his work, as this man. Awesome job. As always. Always figures it out and great results. Absolutely enjoy watching.
Going to be a whole new expression 'A Zacklift Winter'.
Every couple of years, we seem to get a really bad winter here in Oregon.
THANK YOU MR PLOWMAN.
Love it where you're grateful for the people that are helpful in other ways.
If I was a "Mr Plowman" near you I'd have my phone on watch alerts for Casey needs a swath ... again.
Double Wow I love this MacGyver
Great plan, executed with ease .
1:45. 🎼Call Mr. Plow, that’s his name, that name again is Mr. Plow🎼
D'oh!
Great video thank you!
Come April everybody’s gonna wonder where Casey is, dudes going to sleep for a month
Good job Casey getting him out of there without hurting his bumper at all. Icy roads and to much speed will get you in trouble!
Nice work Casey. I watched this one way too closely, knowing we’re due for recovering one of these. Great vid
Nice work, Casey!!
Gotta love it when they go this smooth.
So glad you publish so often !
That was pretty simple minus the tire.
As you said it couldn't have gone better. Luckily the truck driver didn't roll after hitting the ditch.
Good job. Thank you 😊
His front wheels have SPIKES !!!!!! Great video, efficient work, so fun to watch.
That work surprisingly well. Happy it was as easy as it turned out to be.
Awesome… thanks buddy
It's nice when things go smoothly.
Great work Casey. 👍😎👍
Good to have a plan...to deviate from. You adapt to every situation, great work.
Your set up is so very versatile. Very economic outfit
Truly professional.
You deserve an easy one from time to time Casey!! Nicely done as usual.
now you are learning how to pull a Truck out GOOD JOB
The sheriff and plow truck were just hiding a mile away and watching with binoc's waiting for you to show up so they'd have something to do....lol
Stay safe.
Talk about hitting the timing right all the way around this job! You make it look too easy Casey.
Plow truck driver was really Ethan 😂
