Greetings from Miami. Thank you for reacting to both parts of Echoes. The original studio version does not have 2 parts: it is all in one continuous song. The David Gilmour Live in Gdańsk version is also not split into 2 parts.
Echoes is as good an epic as anyone ever came up with and good to see you watch part 2, very trippy to say the least, Gilmour sat on the stage at Boston Garden for this first part, he was next to his special effects rack and took us on a space psychedelic journey. Great song no matter the version but you do need to hear the studio original, it is their perfect audio exploration and needs to be experienced. Also of note is when David Gilmour went a his On An Island solo tour in 2006, he brought Rick Wright from Floyd on keyboards and they did Echoes, a great, extended version (26 minutes) is at the Gdansk concert at the docks where the Polish freedom movement in the 80s emerged, it in incredible show in another setting only Pink Floyd would play at. Do watch that sometime. Lastly, they also played a great show on a barge in the canals of Venice Italy. Search for that when you can, another amazing Floyd concert setting, people everywhere! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
hi angela u r doing a great job a good song to listen to is one of these days its te last song b 4 intermission at the pulse concert the audience loved it
Just to put this video in context, the studio version of Echoes is a single track that makes up the whole of side 2 of the album "Meddle". But Live at Pompeii was recorded to be a film shown in cinema's, so it was decided that they would split the track into 2, and have them appear as the first and last tracks in the film, with a number of other tracks in between.
Pink Floyd are a National Treasure.
