Hogwarts (and crew) react to LOST. WE ARE SO EXCITED! Papa Brian is the only one who has seen it! This is going to be fun!
We're finally back! Its been a long road to get here. We've been busy MOVING HEADQUARTERS, acting in plays, writing music, making movies, and traveling the world, (okay, Sleepy Hannah is the only one traveling) but we are FINALLY back in the studio/living room!

Why does Jack react so angrily in this episode?
Because Jack thinks there's a Locke problem as you know in regard to the Boone incident and Locke's comments on it, like him being a sacrifice the Island demanded and everything is happening for a reason, etc. So he doesn't want to lead the survivors to the direction Locke suggests just with faith. However, accepting Locke's demands for pressing the button blindly is going to mean he'll forfeit the control to Locke at least partially. On the other hand, he can't refuse it totally because the guy on the hatch (Desmond), after randomly meeting in the past, told him that a miracle could happen and it happened which became an important event in Jack's life as he married the woman who is miraculously healed as Desmond suggested. That same man now unbelievably being in the hatch makes him question his pure rational point of view. Also, if the button is really important; not pressing it could cost all the lives of the survivors which is Jack's priority at the moment. So, he's frustrated to be in this impossible dilemma between accepting the problem guy's blind faith or risking the lives of everyone. That's why he seeks for answers angrily from Desmond, he tries to find something rational in his answers to help him choose between the two. But he can't find it, so he takes a leap of faith and choses to press the button blindly.

Imagining not believing in ghost but later finding out your house is haunted, youd be pretty angry but especially scared, which i think jack was also experiencing at that point.

Totally agree with you. Also, I know that Jack could result a little bit annoying in these 2-3 episodes but I found that very human and well written: everything in the last hours challenged his rationality, from his point of view is normal to immediately react with frustration and anger and sometimes maybe overreact.
As crazy as Jack seems in this episode, it's such a great depiction of his character. ''You don't even know what you're running from!?'' is such a powerful line and sums his frustrations up so well! The scenes in this episode make me appreciate Season 6 even more.

Is it normal that I wait more for Lost reactions than for another GoT episode?
Yes especially after the last 2 seasons of GoT. Too rushed and too much plot armor around characters makes it unrealistic.
Never read the books but i think after the last GoT episode i will start because i am disappointed with the show and what they did to it. Tbh i felt the same about season 6 of Lost when it aired. But now i am fine with it (still not my favorite) and i enjoy it more. Most notably Beyond the Wall and The Long Night episodes...just too rushed.
Absolutelly. A weak Lost plot is better than GoT after Season 5.

The Swan orientation film discusses the Swan's purpose, and the existence of the electromagnetism. The film's narrator Dr. Marvin Candle appears to have a prosthetic arm in the film

Jack and Locke living in an underground bunker together -- this should be... interesting. Jack is so stubborn but clearly bursting at the seams with his emotions, and Locke knows exactly how to appeal to Jack: ask him for help. "Please. I can't do this alone." Live together or die alone.
Do any Once Upon A Time fans here know whether or not Emma's last name "Swan" is partially a Lost reference? Or just coincidence or just because of the fairytale about the Swan princess? I've always wondered if it was another Lost reference or not.

Theres sooooo many lost Easter eggs in all of the writers/directors/producers subsequent projects so I wouldn't be surprised! Though I tried watching that show but just couldn't keep going 😬

Sleepy Hannah looks like the character I made in Fallout 4 once. When she puts her hair up it's uncanny. My character also had the buzzed sides like that. Used a mod to get that hairstyle.
Loved that both Hannah's wanted to know if Desmond was coming back. My favorite character is a "gem" indeed.

Jack is struggling with what is happening. He is not a man of faith at all... A man he met once, in a very important moment of his life, Just appeared on the same Island his plane crash. He just don't accept It... He feels threatened for some reason.

This question is exclusively for Papa Brian: knowing how much you are aware of the show and the creators of it, have you seen The Leftovers? If so, what did you think of the show (it's from my favorites otherwise)? Would you contemplate reacting to him as a group in the future if the others have not seen him?

Hot take: John Locke was a self-centered screw up (on and off the island) for the entirety of the series. Even when John seemed to be helping someone else it was always actually for his own self-interest, self-preservation, and/or a "personal test."
I agree. I like when John cries. It's the only times he is not arrogant, secretive and manipulative. Don't know about the rest of the series, just so far. Hopefully all these screwed up people get redeemed somehow.
@@michaelshafer5192 He was never manipulative, and he wasn't only self-centered he cared for the sake of caring, *SPOILER* He cared about boone and you can confirm that when he mentions him in Season Two finale
I mean that fits Jack too. Jacks reason for him to keep the dynamite over Kate, is selfish for his own personal interest in Kate. Giving her the dynamite keeps him safer who is more useful in the group. Their are other instances, and Jack and Locke are really close to being the same person with different ideas.
@@CheddahSlammer My friend, I respectfully yet strenuously disagree. Jack was selfless from day one. Jack comforted Rose on the flight and later saved Rose with CPR, Jack and Sayid made glasses for Sawyer, Jack accepted the leadership role to keep everyone safe. However, I am glad you said that the two are similar so that I can make another distinction for TeamJack. Although stubborn and borderline self-destructive, Jack is a man of achievement, a truly capable person on and off the island. On the other hand, John is a screw up and sorta failure at life with "something to prove." Jack could probably sense that about John, and that's why Jack mocked John sometimes, and was extremely frustrated by John's often irrational behavior.
@@landosmist4999 I honestly think that Jack does everything, to keep up his image of being a hero. Their are many times were he abandons the group, over himself. Although I want to point out that even though he acts as the leader of the group and everyone goes to him first for help, he wasn't really elected as a leader, which has been pointed out by several people.

Absolutely a different Helen. I also interpreted it that perhaps he had requested to call her “Helen”. 😀
It's definitely not the same Helen. For starters the timeline doesn't fit. John knew Helen before he was paralysed and when he's on the phone sex line he was paralysed at that time and the lady on the phone said "she wasn't allowed to meet customers" implying that she doesn't know him. John just calls her Helen. Remember in one of the first episodes he calls Kate Helen by accident too.
