Great job by the whole panel & the host!! Cronometer was my biggest challenge. When I finally gave up on it I got into ketosis immediately by just keeping my carbs under 20 gr/day. So much easier, and cronometer is very overwhelming for an already stressed cancer patient. I can't stand that professionals strongly recommend it. Just my opinion

An extremely informative guide by leading Experts in the field and essential watching by all associated with Cancer. The knowledge gained here can be supplemented by viewing interviews with Dr Thomas Seyfried on RUclips.
Just one important caveat, all the discussion on blood Ketone levels here apply to their therapeutic use in Cancer and possibly Epilepsy only, and when starting out to become Fat/Keto Adapted.
Those who have reversed Type 2 Diabetes on a Low Carb Diet will eventually see their blood Ketone levels drop over time and reach "normal" levels as they continue on the diet and this is expected as one becomes more efficient in producing and utilizing ketones, but not yet fully acknowledged among all Low Carb Experts. When this happens, and is essential for sustained life long remission and achieving Metabolic Flexibility, there is no need to attempt raising Ketone levels again if one remains Fat/Keto adapted, which can be proven by missing 2 or more meals and doing a marathon exercise without feeling hunger before or after and having Blood Glucose remain in the normal fasted levels throughout.

Human being is a complex system with multiple interacting elements at different levels of hierarchy. That complex system is integrated at the top by psyche and central nervous system connected directly to the hormonal one and immune one. Hence, food is just one of the conditions of health. The organism uses different enzymes to process a variety of food. The same metabolic pathways behave differently depending on the body movement (exercise) vs sedentary way of life. Sport activity activates neuroimmunohormonal coordination. In consequence, neurons in brain form novel synapses. The cognitive status improves. Also, mystical experience is possible. The right hemisphere integrates different impulses and generates higher feelings, emotions, experience of beauty, goodness, balance, warmth, ethics, morality and ... discipline that help to maintain somatic, psychical and spiritual integrity. This integrity is called health. If you want to reduce weight, you must keep your glucose as low as possible. The ketogenic diet seems to work fine. At least for some period of time. If you want to defeat cancer, the ketogenic diet is a must, too. Otherwise, low carb diet is probably O.K. if you avoid the processed food containig carbohydrates without fibers. Eat during the nourishment window of about 8 hours. Then, make a break to fascilitate autophagy and to keep insulin low. You may stimulate mitochondria to gain extra energy (e.g., astaxanthin, ergotionein, methylene blue). However, cancer cells love simple sugar. So, ketons from olive oil or MCT oil are a better choice. And keep in mind: your integrity comprising somatic, psychical and mystical aspects is a key to your survival!

I understand that some tumours CAN use ketones as fuel, and some tumours are more ketolytic than others. Shouldn't one know exactly what type of tumours one has before jumping onto the keto diet wagon? How to know if the tumour I have will grow or shrink under the KMT???
