my god, i remember watching you when i was like 5, and that was like 8 years ago, and most people i used to watch haved stopped, but you are still here
I've always wanted to make controllers like this for the Coleco & 5200 after watching your reviews back in 2010. I even sketched my own designs. So to see somebody else make one is just pure awesome.
This guy takes classic home gaming to an absurdly awesome extreme in every video.... I know he loves all things Vectrex, Atari, and ColecoVision. And he has a cute dog.
I have this controller too! I got the one that also has cables for the Atari 2600/7800. It's the best money I've ever spent on gaming. I love it dearly! Edladdin is the best.
Now you can play those arcade ports with this awesome arcade stick on your collecovision, but,,, Man that arcade stick is a beast, it's bigger then an actual gsme console.
I love orange. Almost my favorite color. This controller looks AWESOME. I would like it even more if the control stick was on the right side as the arcades were originally designed, but anyway, that's a dark story for another time. Thanks for the video Mark. I don't have a Colecovision but I love tech.
Controllers with the joystick in the center, and with buttons on the left and right sides are best. They give left or right handed people a choice. Also, different games are easier to play left handed, and vice versa.
Yep. I was thinking pre-NES consoles. They kept making these vertical pepper grinders grips before D-pads even though arcade decks were horizontal. Intellivision, Colecovision, A5200, A7800, all reinventing the wheel even though no one asked them to.
It's technically possible, but any such adapter would need to be more than just a rewired cable. It would need a circuit to recognize the output from the Colecovision controller and convert it into signals that the Intellivision would recognize. Also, the Intellivision has 16-direction control, but the Colecovision only has 8, so you'd lose the ability to move in 8 directions on the Intellivision, although this would really only affect a couple games. The problem is that while both controllers have directions, fire buttons and a 12-button keypad, the cable only has 9 wires. So there's no way to give each function its own dedicated line. Which means they had to get creative. Pressing the "3" button might register as the stick having been pushed up and down at the same time.
Wait a minute, if this thing can work on both a Colecovision and Atari 2600 and the Sega Master System and Genesis have similar connectors for their controllers, can the CV Colecovision arcade controller work on a Master System or Genesis?

Thanks for showing the Edladdin controller and the CV games! I'm a ColecoVision guy 😀
5:49 LMFAO!! Incredible Facepalm!
I kind of want this controller now.
That controller is amazing! Made the console perfect!!!

Mark, I am literally wearing the exact same shirt right now. It's the only red, white, and blue shirt I have for 4th of July.
No you're not. If you were "literally wearing the exact same shirt" you would be wearing the actual shirt Mark has on. Liar!
That controller alone made me want a Colecovision. Makes it look and play like some badass arcade machine!
We all need , more than ever, more CGR… EDF EDF EDF…
After years of going through changes in life, I'm happy classic game room has always been there ^^
Man, I'd forgotten how huge-ass the Coleco's power supply was. And the Super Cv controller looks amazing. Does it work with the Genesis?
Possibly, since it uses the same connector/input.
That thing is massive. Looks solid and sounds good.

Arcade buttons are so satisfying to press!
If I was going to make a custom controller, I would put the joystick in the center, and have buttons on the left and right sides.
If it's July 4th, you need to do a review of the Camerica Freedom Stick.
Damn, I want one now.
How do you have a discussion about bad console controllers and the 5200 NOT come up?
It's like calling Hitler "evil", some things just go without saying lol
Not gonna lie: I actually LOLed at the Choplifter joke. 😆

Click joysticks and buttons are for scrubs, leaf switches are for the real old school arcade guys. Love ya Ed!
I love orange. Almost my favorite color.

Have you try the atari joy sticks they work great, the both use the same 9 pins.
The Super CV needs some sanwa parts installed into it.
5:07 i did not know the game could do that
always funny and entertaining ^^ keep up bruh
I love my Intellivision basketball & football.
Forget the dang Colecovision, what about that Millennium Falcon / G.I. Joe Shirt!?
Now that's what those old consoles should have come with. :D
Logan Jorgensen didn't the neo geo come with an arcade stick

Also wonder if you got an adapter for the intellivision if this controller would work on the intellivision

I assume this would work with an Amiga too.

Asking Santa to bring me one of these for X-mas!
Replace the joystick on that arcade machine of Frenzy.
How can I get this controller? I only found the 2600/7800 atari controller.
Why four buttons? I thought the colecovision only supported one firebutton?
Look up the "Colecovision Super Action Controller"
From Planet Uranus.
With Kling-ons.
Why is the joystick designed as a leftie?
But does it work w/SEGA Master System & Genesis?
Video game is magic
When are we getting a controller called "The HELL DOOM 5200 ULTIMATE Super Edition DEATH BLASTER"?!
does it work for 7800 games?
Not to be confused with TimPilot
Me wants!
OH HELL YEE
Do you know who the 1 dislike is?
Atari.
John Appercott You mean Atari 5200😂😂😂😂
I never liked the controls of time pilot
Are you realy enjoy these old games
Although the graphics suck, the gameplay on some old games was really good.
