Years ago I read that the LA police department never had a malfunction in an officer involved shooting in all the years of carrying the.38 special. BUT I have seen quite a few failure to feed/fire in cop shootings on the internet. I like both of them but trust the wheel gun more than the semi automatic.
I love revolvers. They have such nice lines. This one looks great as well. I love my pistols as well, but revolvers are just special. I probably couldn’t afford to shoot this one much, but maybe one in .22lr instead if they make it that way. Where I live .22 magnum costs more than 9mm Parabellum.
Quite a nice pistol you have there. .22 mag is no slouch. It is good enough for me. It doesnt sound like a cannon going off like a .357 mag does, but itll do the job at hand. I like the fact its a 4 inch barrel. The trigger pull can be worked so its not so heavy. It looks quite promising as an import.
I definitely agree with you on the 22 magnum for self defense. I carry a 9mm and my wife carry a Colt 1911 Gold Cup 45acp. But I will feel comfortable with a 22 magnum if I ever decide to carry it. God bless America long live the Republic
Your wife carries a 38 ounce stainless steel 1911?!?! I am in awe and she is a hero in my book. I used to carry an old metal IMI Jericho and I thought that was heavy. Does she carry it on her hip or in her purse?
First time viewer. Great review. Some of the finest close up photography of a wheel gun - indeed any hand gun - I have ever seen. Brilliant. Thank you. I thoroughly enjoy .22 Magnum cartridges. Fun. Fun. Fun.
Revolvers are especially useful for sometimes unreliable rim fire cartridges. Also fundamentally reliable and since most civilian defense shootings are resolved in 3 or less rounds I prefer them to semiautomatics.
.22mag is excellent for older people or those with arthritis where recoil would prevent the owner from ever practicing or even having fun vs being in pain for practicing. Plus, it's all about placement and with me, I'm far more accurate with a .22mag than any 9mm. So ramp up stress in a difficult situation and in that moment I'd want the easiest firearm that works. Now if I'm in Russias woods and a remote cabin and a bear is coming at me then I'd want a .357 but if I'm 90yo and living in an urban apartment, I'd rather have a .22mag for precision shots, and the least amount of over penetration.
Because rim fire cartridges require a more forceful hammer blow to reliably detonate the primer, the revolvers that shoot rimfire cartridges have heavier hammer springs and therefor heavier trigger pulls. This can be an issue for people with arthritis or weak grip strength.
Revolvers will never be obsolete...double or single action...I own and enjoy quite a few from .22 rimfire to .45 Colt 😍😍😍 I would like to add one of those to my rotation so I’m looking for one (I know “good luck to me here in the current 2021 gun and ammo shortage”). Good video and channel 👍👍👍
Good safety recommendation. 22 mag is a great round with great penetration, if you need that. .38 can be a great carry gun if you don't want penetration. When would you want that? Depends on ammo, your target and use. I like a slow moving .38, it is more accurate at 50 to 100 yards. Anything inside of that is MINE at less distance, with the right ammo.
Started with a Smith 686 back in the day, carried a Glock 19 for 30 yrs till 3 yrs ago. Now I pack a CZ p-10 and have come back to appreciate a good revolver. This maybe in a snubby and I’ll partake. Awesome taste in music 👍

This make a good do it all gun for some people It's be good for pest control, small game hunting, plinking, teaching people to shoot, good gun to take camping, and if you use certain ammo it'd even bee good for self and home defense as well
If you don't like a heavy double action trigger pull you don't want a rimfire revolver. Rim crimping requires more force than a centerfire primer. Requiring a stronger hammer spring, thus a heavier double action pull.

A quick look today in mid-February 2021 on the Armscor site does not show any .22 revolvers at all. The DA pull is necessarily heavy on rimfire revolvers due to the spotty ignition power in DA mode and the dirtiness of rimfire ammunition- the cases don't always seat well after a few rounds due to the dirt left behind, which moderates the firing pin strike.
This is the first video of yours that I have seen. It impresses me. Your photography is first rate. I especially like your still shots. They reveal a lot of details about the gun. I like that you use a support to show how precise the gun will shoot. Then I like how you shoot it offhand to show the ergonomics of the gun. You have a nice speaking style. You're not even too ugly. JK! Revolvers have never gone out of style. Some of us shoot revolvers in IDPA competition and give those with flat guns a run for their money. Keep up the good work.

I count rounds and I still squeeze the trigger one last time on revolvers most of the time. My wife will squeeze the trigger several times on revolvers. Except for my SA, it’s a bit heavy for her. Nice info on that revolver. I’ve been considering a .22 WMR.
$649 price point for this revolver, which is more expensive than a S&W or Ruger 3 inch revolver, and it has mediocre groupings. Sometimes you don’t always get more by paying more.
@@charlesmckinley29 That's what I saw listed on a few sites. I also saw prices at 469 dollars. They are all out of stock at the places that I looked at.
Great information, thanks! Not trying to find anything wrong with your video, Lord knows I could not do very well making one, but when the hammer fell on a dud the best practice is to give it several seconds before cycling (in a none life death situation). Would not be a good situation to cycle it hand have it go off not inline with barrel.
I looked all over for 1 of these and couldn't locate 1 so I ended up spending the cash for a Smith & Wesson 648 in .22mag 6" barrel in stainless, love this pistol but if I ever do come across 1 of these I'll definitely pick it up as well.

Great video .. Well done .. No revolvers are not dead in my way of thinking and my 76 years of life of owning firearms and shooting them .. They are works of art i agree ,just look in the fine book by R. L. Wilson , Steel Canvas .. In 150 years in round figures you see rare Colt's at the $1 million mark but you will never see Sig, Glock or any of the others sitting at that price point 150 years from now ..Wheel guns will always be a classic firearm because it's a revolver and it functions like a revolver and works every time all the time.. I carry every day and my choice is a revolver and has been since 1965.. I also shoot .22 WMR as one of my revolvers is chambered it that ctg.. Not every make is of match grade quality .. CCI has a SB (shot barrel ) round load with their Gold Dot bullets which shoots the tightest groups , with CCI Maxi Mags coming in a second, and Winchester Super-X .. Remington loaded with the 32 grain BT produced the widest/largest groups.. I carry a 7 shot S&W PD 351 at times when i want to go smaller in gun size in .22 WMR loaded with the CCI Gold Dot bullets which i have fired into gel blocks, wet pulp bundles and plywood board box bafel test .. I will take the .22 mag over any 380 acp any day .. I also carry a .22 LR revolver loaded with CCI Velocitor which is a round i feel comfortable to use if i ever had to protect myself ..There is a reason behind the .380 acp being called a baby 9mm in Europe .. Plus .380 acp ammo i see now is $1.00 per round .. good luck finding that round for sale on the shelf ..
Appropriate for any occasion. Color is straight. Very fashionable. Masculine. Friendly fire. A mans best friend. Nice gun. I smell the quality. It is what Smith and Wesson could have been... Eastern European.
This is one really nice Revolver, I think Rock Island Armory has a winner here. I like this Revolver , the 22 mag. Is definitely Powerful. I just might buy one of these. Need to Check out Price. Good Video, Have a nice day.
22 mag in pistols very loud, and under power with shorter barrels. Bullets tend to keyhole. If you have one please test a variety of ammo brands and see which works best in your poticullar firearm. 22 magnums can be very finicky! God bless you and stay safe.
Federal Punch has been made for 22LR ,have they made it for WMR yet? If that is the case then coupled with this pistol you could have a great self defence mini cannon.
Alfa Proj has been around for a while now and has a solid rep but the main importer is Czechpoint. And Czechpoint is almost always outta stock! Like, even before this seeming apocalypse started they just seem to lack the ability to meet demand. Hopefully Armscor will be able to get a gun into the holster of everyone that wants one. Hell, hopefully Armscor will move on to include other Alfa Proj offerings as well! Having one of their wheelguns in .32 long would be fun.

The DA pull is necessarily heavy on rimfire revolvers due to the spotty ignition power in DA mode and the dirtiness of rimfire ammunition- the cases don't always seat well after a few rounds due to the dirt left behind, which moderates the firing pin strike.
Good review, Looks like a great option for small game harvesting and targets. Performance is what counts in my opinion.. . Good tools.
Great looking revolver. Will keep an eye out for one.
Keep up the good work.
that is a beautiful pistol, i have wanted a revolver for a long time, but they're so expensive compared to semi auto. i will be looking for that one. stainless steel, just a beautiful piece, great review.
I enjoyed your video of this new product from RIA. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Nice plinking/range toy. Maybe useful in bo bag for hunting/backup.
I count rounds and I still squeeze the trigger one last time on revolvers most of the time. My wife will squeeze the trigger several times on revolvers. Except for my SA, it’s a bit heavy for her. Nice info on that revolver. I’ve been considering a .22 WMR.
Hey man, I love 💕 the AL22mag. I plan to buy one in the near future, if i can find one. Justin Opinion, I love 💕 your videos!
I have a Rossi 515. It's a great little 22mag. 6 shot 4in barrel.
Thank you for a well made and thoughtful review.
Glad you enjoyed it!
$649 price point for this revolver, which is more expensive than a S&W or Ruger 3 inch revolver, and it has mediocre groupings. Sometimes you don’t always get more by paying more.
Is that MSRP or what it is on the shelf for? Thanks
@@charlesmckinley29 That's what I saw listed on a few sites. I also saw prices at 469 dollars. They are all out of stock at the places that I looked at.
More rounds?
@@Quality_Guru thank you
What's funny is when they were still being imported by Czech Point these were like $360.
Would expect a 10 capacity to keep up with most 22 autos. The GP 100 has a 10 round cylinder.
Excellent czech arms know/ how. Respect.
I looked all over for 1 of these and couldn't locate 1 so I ended up spending the cash for a Smith & Wesson 648 in .22mag 6" barrel in stainless, love this pistol but if I ever do come across 1 of these I'll definitely pick it up as well.
I have always been hung up on revolvers. Just love them. That one looks amazing. I must have one.
Great reliable gun with plenty of fire power! I definitely approve of this great gun! Revolvers sure are getting expensive though! 😎☠️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️☠️
I think revolvers are like internal combustion engine. They'll never be replaced
Great detail shots!!!
Thanks a lot!
I might like that .22WMR revolver. Anxious to see one. Thanks for bringing it to shoot & review. Carry On.
At 2:30 why didn't the trigger reset after the last shot?
I bought the AL9.0 after your review and it was spot on. This one also looks interesting.
I like revolvers too. Retain your casings very well.
Leave no evidence 🤣
@5:22 I think you nailed that fly.
This is one really nice Revolver,
I think Rock Island
Armory has a winner here. I like this Revolver , the
22 mag. Is definitely Powerful. I just might buy one of these. Need to
Check out Price.
Good Video,
Have a nice day.
Thanks JO. Great job. Good info.
When does it come on the market? I don't see it anywhere right now. Except here, lol.
A .22LR/.22Mag combo wud deff put this on my gottabuyit list!!
Definitely get this one over the KTM-22. Less headaches.
It seems to have a additional lock-up design in the design of the front yoke. It appears to meld two fitted mating areas in the front yoke location.
Could you do some velocity test, please! And you are correct the 22 mag does have a step on 22lr for sd.
Excellent presentation, well spoken narrative. Well done !
Glad you liked it!
Please tell RIA to make a .357 in 4- inch or 3- inch barrel. and in nickel- finish. Thank you. Nice review.
OMG, you shot that fly on your second shot of the Hornady ammo!! Nobody else saw this?? How unlucky for that fly!! Nice vid. Glad I subbed!
shooting double action is a good way to learn trigger control and how to have a steady grip
