The "using" was coming from the other end.
@Matt Tinkelman You right about some of his unoriginality for sure. He has been known to use things he did not create on more than one occasion, and that is what most of the beef is over. There were lots of handshake agreements that got turned on for both sides, from album art, to verses on albums, tour dates, features, and more. I can also agree it's mostly gimmick with any of the horrorcore shit he creates, but let's be honest only probably 5% of any rappers live the lyrics throughout time when it comes to gangster shit right up to the biggest names. I am much more of a fan of his heartfelt songs over the AOTP stuff or bangers on his recent solo albums that is all gimmick. I cannot argue that point, but from what I hear his heart has always been in the right place, and never set out to rise himself over others. It's def a generational thing and i'm glad he acknowledges that. you get older and you don't like the same shit anymore. or the new shit doesn't appeal to you because you're not 20 anymore. it's ok to get old gracefully and not try to feebly cling to your youth and not really understand what the kids are into anymore

Joe Rogan just earned 10 cool points in my book with the Gangstarr shout out
Drainitallday yeah very forgotten . remember listening to gangstarr in 2005
10 cool points from me too. Joe knows hiphop. Still to this day I think "moment of truth" is one of the best hiphop albums ever made. RIP Guru. And Dj Premier is STILL making classic tunes. It's amazing.
Drainitallday or just having Paz on. Wuuut
facts
Them cool points are hard to earn.
"They might just slobber in a corner."
I'm going to laugh all day from the mental image those two gave me! Thank you! I needed it.
Hearing Joe mention Gang Starr actually blew my mind, had no idea he was aware of such Hip-Hip.
2 of my favorite people sitting in one place, I had to watch it and it was all true! Thanks guys you both rule in your own way

Awesome that Vinnie was on the show. Huge fan of him and the whole crew. Big up to Joe Rogan for great content as usual.
Jedi Mind , Vinnie is one of the best artists I have ever seen live!
Got to say, Vinny Paz seems alot more down to earth than i figured he would be, also hes right about everything he said.
No mumble rap is lazy garbage. The producer should get more credit than the rapper
No,*/No.*
Says a producer of a shit rapper
That's your opinion. But you're right the producers do deserve a little more credit.
Actually the producer should get slapped for making the same beat over and over
Lil Pump but no one's gonna listen to Gucci Gang with no beat. Gotta have both.
Vinnie paz is awesome
Wheres the full interview at?!?!?!
How have I not seen this!? Gotta find the full episode.
Great, now my old ass has to google "mumble rap"

Ignorance is bliss.
Never hearing that mumble rap horse shit again is bliss
😂😂
This is Soo dope, two of my favorite peeps collabing on the same show together!
Vinnie Paz is yet another reason I'm proud to call Philadelphia home...
Where u from in philly
I love how level-headed he is about it. So many people talking shit about mumble rap in the comments, but it is what it is. Even Vinnie can see it's just the new wave for this next generation of kids. Don't worry about what they're doing and support the music you DO love
This is Near the brightest and funniest conversation i ve ever heard about rap .
lil joe
Young rogan
Ol' Jeezy

Holy shit joe..that last comment GANGSTAR..full clip my all time favorite hiphop/rap song
It's not just a generational reaction. Mumble rap is garbage and anyone with good music taste will tell you that.
Disagree there, anyone with ears will tell you it's garbage
@Big dookie hahahahahahaha you've got no idea how old either of us are. You also have no idea what music we actually like.
But what's golden here is the idea that you're some sort of scholar because you listen to unintelligible druggy jibber over half assed synth beats is fucking hilarious.
Christopher Hendricks this is inherently false , music is all completely objective , you can debate levels of complexity with music but music is music it has no numeric scale or any scale of that matter of what is better than what
I guess you get to decide what 'good music taste' is for the rest of us mere mortals?
Y’all just don’t like mumble rap because it sounds like your mother with a muscle in her mouth 👻👻👻
Yo, Joe knows about Gang Starr - instantly got cooler
fuckin surprised he knew vinnie
Sud It's been damn 4-6 years in the making. Joe had immortal technique on the podcast back in day also! check it out. cheers buddy

Vinnie Paz is the man. Always been a fan but to hear him mention Thin Lizzy was awesome. They are definitely a bad ass irish rock band.
