I had a 2014 diesel RTV 1100x it was a beast but it wasn’t fast. We plowed snow with it and with the plow and spreader it topped out at 9 mph up the hills here. It would average 15 when loaded on flat ground and 20 unloaded and one driver. The years of plowing and salt have taken its toll and we are now looking at a replacement for it. Your video was very helpful and thank you for all of the information about the 850.
Please read this before purchasing a Kubota Sidekick. Buyer beware, this purchase was doomed from the start I ordered in October 2020 didn’t receive the machine until February 2021, my machine was ordered with a lot of extras price coming in at over $27,000 now fast forward to April the machine had 32hrs on it and the transmission went on it.. it went in the shop on 4/27/2021 next Tuesday 6/22/21 it will be in the shop 8 weeks, this is a brand new machine and I’m told 4 parts are on back order, and in the almost 8 weeks I have been without it only one part has come in for it.. this is unacceptable and unacceptable to do this to customers. I used to think Kubota was the top dog but learned that their customer service gets an F- grade. I sold a 2018 X-900 to buy this and I regret it everyday. Not having this machine is costing me money by the hour on my farm I am not running efficiently and that’s why you spend almost $30,000 on a machine for efficiency. I contacted customer care and let me tell you they do not care I was told I could pay to expedite shipping of my parts from out of the country LOL LOL I have paid a lot of money for this machine that is still in the shop and the gull of Kubota to tell me I can pay to have them shipped. I am almost ready to tell the dealership to keep it I don’t even want it back I will go buy a Polaris not that even matter s to Kubota also going to upgrade from a B2620 tractor in the near future and it breaks my heart to say I really do not think I will consider a Kubota I was a lifetime customer and I think they have ruined that for me. So buyer beware Kubota made faulty equipment on my machine but somehow has become my problem and trust me I am paying for it everyday......oh and I am not accepting excuses at this time for CVD I along with most other persons with a brain are over that excuse it’s time to get back to work these companies will find out we will stop buying their products if they can’t give us what we need and what we pay for......I have also been told Kubota is just interested in catching up with their new machine sales and not worried about manufacturing parts so if you buy one and you have something break on your machine good luck... I am spreading this message to all social media outlets and already filed a report with BBB I want people to know what Kubota really thinks about their customers....
I have the Kubota RTV X1120 diesel. If you want speed, DON’T buy a diesel and then complain about their top speed. The diesels are really little tractors with a side by side body. That is what works for me but Understand it doesn’t for others. I always say, Clydesdales don’t run in the Kentucky Derby!
I'm not really looking for speed but wanted a sxs that could do over 35 mph and is a great tool around the farm. We have some big farms in Tennessee and need to get around the property quickly. We use this sxs all the time to drive to town, haul tools around the farm, and pull deer out of the woods.
Kubota got it wrong. The XG850 CVT clutch doesn't shift down when you stop quickly resulting in ($270) belt squeal, jerky starts and belt burn in soft snow or mud. Also, the 4X4 clashes gears after delayed disengagement. Kubota dealership calls it "driveline wrap" which is still a problem, only less serious than he actual problem. They won't honor their warranty by denying that these problems exist. Company reps. will not inspect these problems if owner is anywhere on the dealership property. I build 2000hp airplane engines for a living and verified the problems before requesting warranty repairs. Additionally, they use expensive proprietary oil for the rear differential (not available in stores). Kubota buys up rights to affordable aftermarket products and then sells them at inflated prices. OEM replacement parts arrive with "made in China" labels. Anyone know a good warranty lawyer or want to join a class action?
My 2021 has been in the shop for a longer period of time than I had it at our farm before breaking down and that is a true story got it in February dropped it off in March it’s almost been in the shop for 3 months next tuesday 7/13/21 it will be in the shop for 11 weeks and guess what I’m waiting on….yep 2 more transmission parts truly truly disappointed in this machine and Kubota Corporation I couldn’t tell you how many people I have had steer clear of this machine that are looking for a UTV…..oh and fun fact I did my 20 mile recommended maintenance and oil change on it 12-15 miles ago it only has between 30 and 40 miles on it. I ordered with all the extras this machine cost over 27K…how’s that for a great customer satisfaction story? Garbage Company……I am upgrading my tractor soon trading in my old B series Kubota and I can guarantee Kubota does not make the list for new machines they used to be a great company in my opinion now the only thing they have to offer is KTAC insurance. Good luck anybody who buys this…. I should have kept my 2018 X900 Diesel no problems with that machine…
@@tbone7630 My 2 year Warranty runs out next month and all I get is written denials that my problem exists. They don't have the courage to talk on the phone or in person. It seems that all the once upon a time "good companies" have deceptively crammed Chinese parts under the hood and flipped their loyal followers the middle finger. Garbage companies and garbage products go hand in hand. Please let us know how much grief you end up enduring so other potential buyers may shop elsewhere. My nightmare continues.

I have to say my wife was right on this one lol lol should’ve kept the diesel now paying payments on something we can’t even use, it is costing us time and affecting our livelihood on our farm…just not fair and they couldn’t care less..they got their money so nothing else even matters. IMO Kubota used to be king I really thought their products were superior but to anybody reading this don’t walk away…run away….Just dealing with their customer care is a pain

We have a Kubota side kick and we towed a trailer with 4 four wheelers and had 5 people with it

This thing is a beast, it is amazing how much it can pull.
Do your brakes squeak a lot on a light touch but heavy touch the squeaking stops?
Yes, it only squeaks when lightly applying the brakes. I probably need to clean the rotors, but it doesn't really bother me.

How’s the legroom?
I have a couple of inches and it feels good. I'm 6'4" and fit nicely in the seat without any issues.

The first year or so was Subaru, then Kubota bought the design and tooling from Subaru and now Kubota makes the engine.

Why didn’t you just buy a Cam Am race buggy because it looks like your after speed.
