@crimsontechyt i don't necessarily need one right now; i just bought it because it was $400 off. But it's also the weakest G14 in terms of graphics cards, right?

I would keep yours, since it'll probably be a WHILE before other regions get the 2025 variants, and because they'll probably be very similarly priced. The best time to buy a laptop is when you need one, and yours will last a LONG time with that 4090 :)

Honestly i was waiting for your review but hey hey where's your cute emojis LOL I'm surprise they actually did put the 5070ti and 5080 on the G14 but what surprise me is really the price of the 50 series, i was expected them to jack up the price but now the 50 series laptop aside of 5090M has decent price, and i really believe the 5080 model of the G16 is the better buy over the current 4090 especially with the new series 2 intel cpu which has way better battery life and efficiency.

Thank you! Same :D
@ u thinking of upgrading or just to review? im also quite upset about the amd g16 for 2025 i dont know how the idea of downgrading the cpu got authorised, otherwise it would be my choice of laptop.
Both 😎
En que día saldrán a la venta?
Dont know yet, but should be around march
when is the specs for entry level 50 series coming out?
Is ram soldered in g16?
Yes probably 🥲
Yes, but at least it has a 64gb version.
Will CAMM ever come to thin & lights. Sure its thin but still needs a lot of space on the board
@@fortysyv They did! The entire new 2025 Dell lineup from CES has those module thingies for RAM!
Can you do a G16 video?
I already reviewed both 2024 models, but I will definitely review the new ones once they're available!
could you please make a review of the new asus ZenBook a14
When can we expect the G14 to release tho?
Should be around March :)
@ thanks! 👏🏻
25db increase, thats insane
I have the 2024 Zephyrus G14 with the rtx4060. Do I need to return it and wait for the new G14? I got mine for $1200 but have a few days left to return it.
That depends. The newer ones will be more expensive, and dont release until march.
Do you need a laptop right now? Then keep it. If you don't, you could wait :)
@crimsontechyt i don't necessarily need one right now; i just bought it because it was $400 off. But it's also the weakest G14 in terms of graphics cards, right?
@@unidentifiable.individual There's also an RTX 4050 model, so you're one step above that :)
return it! you gonna miss out the latest and greatest!
Hopefully they fixed the high pitch noise when the fans go on, it was VERY annoying in the 2024 & 2023 models...
1:10 can consume up to 175w (150w with 25w boost) max rtx 5080 it is not efficient the cooling system is greatly improved and the graphics card will be restricted 100w maximum in this chassis
Seeing the piano in the background - are you into music production? On g14 or Macbook? :V
I used to do some stuff on FL Studio, but not anymore 🥲
I guess I am going to return my G14 4070 white model and save some more for the G14 5080 model, but damn I think this thing will cost around 3000 Euro in the Netherlands.
Yup, im expecting around the same price 🥲
@@crimsontechyt Yes bought my G14 for €1566 so don't know if that will be worth the higher price tag
Man 3000 is a lot. I also bought the same model. I decided to get rid of similar fomo. 3000k for a computer.. I would rather spend for a nice holiday :D
How long would the 2025 g14 last before I should upgrade again? Also what are some tips to make it last longer?
I'm conflicted, I went and saw the 2024 G14 at Best Buy, looked good to me. I was thinking about waiting for the G14 but according to your video they're increasing the thickness? I wonder if this will be noticeable.
It has a little 2mm "bump" on the bottom, so I don't think it'll be very noticeable
@@crimsontechyt Thanks for covering this. I'm about to return my MacBook Air M3 that I just bought for this PC so I'll be out of a computer for a few months it seems.
@@Swaangin Ooh exciting! Haha
Should I get zephyrus g16 or strix g16???
The G16 is a thin and light, and the STRIX is a thicker gaming laptop. Depends on what you need :)
I'm waiting for x13, any rumors?
Unfortunately not 🥲
They might reveal something later in the year, but I'm afraid they killed it...
Can’t wait for the price reveal on this
5070ti should be around 2000-2200, 5080 model around 3k 🥲
When do They come out
March 2025
will you buy the new flow z13?
To review it, probably yes
Been waiting for this vid since I saw the videos about Nvidia's new GPUs and AMD's new CPUs. Excited for your coverage of the 2025 Zephyrus G14 although I won't be able to afford it and I already have a new laptop :D
I spent almost $3000 on the 2024 zephyrus g16 and love everything about it except the performance 😂
How come?
hilariously , their RTX 5000 laptop GPUs are more interesting to look at than their desktop GPUs lol.... I'm definitely getting my hands on the Zephyrus G14 RTX 5080 one... finally have a good upgrade path from my RTX 3070TI laptop ..
CHhrimson thanks for the video, i need your assitence, i bought in black friday a zephyrus g16 rtx4090 2tb ssd, for logistics reasons ( as im in Mexico) i literally just received it now, cost me 2900 usd, yet i see best buy ( where i bought it) the new g16 rtx5080 at 3 200 usd ergo should i just enjoy mine, or follow fomo, and market resale value in future get mine back and buy the rtx5080 which i wpuld have to wait someone to go to usa and bring it -.- what ya think ?
I would keep yours, since it'll probably be a WHILE before other regions get the 2025 variants, and because they'll probably be very similarly priced.
The best time to buy a laptop is when you need one, and yours will last a LONG time with that 4090 :)
@crimsontechyt Crimson thank you for taking the time to answer, i knownyour channel will grow, abrazo from Mexico
@@gustavodelfin4448 thank you! :)
I know it's not Greece, so...Spain? Croatia?
The new laptops do look amazing and in particular I like the new Strix, with the glass bottom. Mmm.
Obviously too early to know for sure what is going to happen. I am worried about both soldered RAM and SSDs, plus any thermal issues.
The good thing is, if the 5000 series is indeed going to be more power efficient, other than the desktop 5090 of course, things are looking good.
hope the 5080 get a vapour chamber
Guys I'm having legion slim 5 with Ryzen 32 ram 2Tb ssd, does it make sense to buy new laptop with 5070 for example when Lenovo will realise laptop with 50 series of GPU
6:15 5070 4090. Thats with frame gen ie BS. This is why people started joking that they will happily swap a 5070 for a 4090 and pay an additional $500. Like they say BS baffles brains.
Thanks for the information provided. The product itself sounds great. However, with each new product on the horizon, we usually end up with a products from the past. That's why I need some advice and help on that matter. Of course, if you have the time for that. I will be more than grateful, if the community also say their own points of view on the subject. So, I own Asus Zenbook 14 Duo ux8402za and I am trying to save the little box for extra 2y. The SSD writing and reading speeds are slow. The battery life is far from perfect and the machine is getting hot as a toaster. My personal needs are for content creation purposes. I could replace the SSD with SK Hynix Gold P31 2TB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe and replace the battery. But not sure that it is enough to give it a second life. Is there any way to make it faster and more efficient? Thanks in advance.
Where's the new Zephyrus DUO 2025?
Either they'll release it later this year, or they killed it🥲
Man, I've been waiting for the asus ryzen 9, models but with the 40 series.
Do you think because of the new 2025 models, they'll launch those models?
What do you mean, the 2024 models already have a ryzen 9 with rtx 4000
@crimsontechyt It's nowhere available in india then, the asus store even removed that section and I've been waiting for over half a year ;-;
was hoping for a haptic touchpad :(
The G14 2025 32GB will be 2800€ in Germany...
Thanks! Love the videos!
What would be the best way to get a free laptop?😅
Thank you! :)
Nothing is free in life, the easiest way to get a laptop is by working and buying a second hand one with your money 🥲
@@crimsontechyt Thank you for even responding to my question. Yes, i agree with you 100% on working and earning for what you want.
I just bought the 2024 version 😢.
Dont worry, they won't be here until march, and will probably be more expensive! The 2024 is still a great laptop :D
Zephyrus G16 (2025) + AMD - are listed on the official Asus website 2days ago
Honestly i was waiting for your review but hey hey where's your cute emojis LOL
I'm surprise they actually did put the 5070ti and 5080 on the G14
but what surprise me is really the price of the 50 series, i was expected them to jack up the price but now the 50 series laptop aside of 5090M has decent price, and i really believe the 5080 model of the G16 is the better buy over the current 4090 especially with the new series 2 intel cpu which has way better battery life and efficiency.
1:39 *LPDDR5X RAM
Yo nice vid
Thank you :)
Why g16 only intel with new gpus?!.. omg
Dont worry, the Intel 200 chips are a LOT better than the old ones :)
No more heat issues, and a lot better battery life. But still too bad they don't have AMD options to compare
They need to get rid of that line and replace it with an ASUS logo, similar to the old MacBooks.
0:32 Asus usually refreshes the design every 2 years.
I JUST BOUGHT G16 WITH 4070 😭😭😭😭
bring zephyrus g 14 in white color for 14 and 16 2025 😍
I will definitely try!
i know i might not notice, but the extra thickness is stressing me out, portability is the biggest reason i’m getting the g14.
It's only 2mm on the back part of the laptop, so it shouldn't be that bad :)
@ the back would add that to the overall length not the width of the laptop right?
@@obedbingham4374 I meant the back of the bottom. It's only 2mm thicker
I was already struggling to keep up with the previous amd cpu names but this new naming schemes are giving me a stroke
They changed the naming schemes like 3 times in 3 years, i'm not even gonna try to understand it 💀
@crimsontechyt btw unrelated but what settings do you use for your laptop battery test? I know you set the screen to 60hz but what about gpu and fan settings? I have a 2024 g14 but Im struggling to hit the hours you get on your test
@@sakiaung 60Hz, Eco mode, Custom silent profile (full details in the G-Helper video).
Keep in mind that it achieves around 10 hours in youtube playback, which is not really an intensive task
@@crimsontechyt thanks! what about the brightness?
g14🤤
Is the display still plasticity?....
The 2024 model had a glass display, so this one will as well :)
@@crimsontechyt Sorry, I meant chasy 😅
@@amineamraoui4397 The 2024 model also had a full Aluminum chassis :o
Thin 14in : Up to 5080
Thick 16in : Up to 5070Ti
The G16 is thinner than the G14 though ;)
no question g14 with 370 AMD will be the better choice from zephyrus family
I really want to get a 5070ti G14 but you just know thats going to be around £2,500 minimum.
The 5080 version is 2999$ on BestBuy's website in the US, so yeah probably around there 🥲
@@crimsontechyt Any idea when preorders are live for the UK?
@Lo-KeyMuzik No idea unfortunately, but I'm refreshing the Asus store page like every hour xd
It’s $2199.99 on Best Buy’s site for the 5070ti.
looks like they putting more efforts in 14inches version than 16
again this 5070=4090 BS
It **was** true for the 3070 and 2080 super when that came out, so maybe... But yeah they probably used a bunch of tricks to get those results :/
