  • From 1955, here is a short film entitled "The Pre-Opening Report From Disneyland" in which Walt Disney gives you his final preparations of Disneyland. Afterwards, Winston Hibler talks about the finishing touches of the completed theme park before the grand opening begins. I just posted the opening day last week in 5 parts if you want to go back and check out the opening day at Disneyland. This episode is from the "Disneyland" TV show and it was featured as part of the "Walt Disney Treasures" series of DVD's entitled "Disneyland USA".
NOTE: Apologize with the choppy video almost towards the end.

Winston Hibler narrated the True-Life Adventure documentaries and, later, the People and Places series, which featured a program all about Disneyland (in Cinemascope, yet).

They're currently playing it in the Opera House, the same place where "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" is at the original Disneyland park. Although it is muted with subtitles

After watching this, and the other Disneyland construction videos, it makes one wonder how much money would have been lost had the park failed. I am glad it didn't, but you cannot help but think that.

Can't believe it took only a year to build. If they tried to do the same thing today, it would take twice that long just to do an environmental report.

Actually technically two because Walt Disney bought the Orange grove in 1953. 🍊

Is it exactly the same as the Mickey Mouse tribute from the first episode, "The Disneyland Story"?
