I can’t thank you enough for doing the unfiltered demos in both studio and natural lighting! It is incredibly helpful and it is not something I see often.
Hi Gaby, I'm 44 and I'm a Canadian living in Quebec. I love to see testing of brands that we find in Canada and I would love to see more of it. Like Annabelle, Watier, Marcelle and a lot more in makeup and skincare. Comparing these brands to others we find at the drugstore will be very helpful, I think. Thanks for your videos! ❤❤❤❤
Canadian here too!! I totally agree finding reviews and recommendations for Canadian brands are super hard unless smthn goes viral like the Quo lipglosses. Would love to see a full face from Canadian brands and your opinion on them!!
I've only watched the intro so far, and this is already the highest quality makeup video I've ever watched. The lighting, a real authentic view...thank you.
I’m Canadian 🇨🇦. I was surprised when you said a few small percentage of your audience are Canadian. I love you, your videos and watch you and Angie all the time❤
I love all your videos, Gabi! I’m 70 and learning how to do my makeup all over again. My skin has changed so much over the years and I learn so much from you. You are a special person, Gabi! Thank you! 🫶🏻
Hi! Just fyi, Laura Gellar makes a powder foundation for "mature skin"!!! It doesn't sit in any wrinkles at all! It goes on with a kabuki brush and can give you a light to medium coverage based on how far out you have the brush! This is the only foundation that I've found to not only blend with my skin color but not make my wrinkles the star of the show! It's about $26 in US but doesn't take very much to cover your face. All of her products are for mature skin!!!!!
@@tinaevers3020 Yes!!! I have this foundation! It's a baked cream. It's pretty good! I also like it. It's extremely light coverage in my. opinion though. I haven't been able to get it to sit at a medium coverage but maybe I just need to try again.
51 years old brown skin Canadian here. I enjoy watching your videos even though I am not particularly a makeup girl. Please do a video on minimal makeup using drugstore products for us brown women
It’s totally underrated! That skin tint is fantastic! I need to buy more of their products to try now. In my opinion, it was leaps and bounds better then covergirl and that is getting tons of praise online suddenly.
@@GlamGirlGabi Please try the Rimmel Multi Tasker Better Than Filters primer!! It's apparently a dupe for CT but with more coverage than other dupes? One of my friend has it and her redness is evened out just by this product, it looks so glowy and nice and I need to try it too. Also Rimmel lip liner Cappucino is my holy grail, best cooltone lipliner - dupe for Makeup forever Endless Cacao. Their multitasker concealer is VERY full coverage and looks amazing, I use it when I don't want to use my Tarte everyday!!
@@itsmariaa18 I’ve been using the Rimmel Multi Tasker for a while now, & have to agree with your friend that it’s a really beautiful primer. Worn on its own or under/mixed with foundation, it is REALLY a lovely product. I’d advise you to try it ASAP, I don’t think you’d be disappointed…💗🌸
I think each product should have been used as suggested on the container. For example the L'Oreal says to use fingertips or a sponge and only use a brush as a final step to buff out. That would be the fairest way to do it.
Yes, please make a skin tint, vs a thin light layer of foundation, BB cream, & CC cream video & comparison! I’ve been thinking about this for quite a while. Are skin tints just a light layer of foundation? I also want to know what the differences are between skin tint/foundation/BB cream/CC cream.
Gabi!! You have to try the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator!! I have oily, textured skin with large pores, and it's beautiful!! Very smoothing, and surprisingly long lasting. I don't wear it in the summer months because I'm SO oily and I need a very matte, longwearing foundation (I wear the Revlon Colorstay), but I love wearing it in the cooler months. I've gotten compliments while wearing it, which is crazy!! Side note, besides the Revlon Colorstay, which is my fav, the Covergirl Outlast with the red cap is fantastic as well for oily skin.
From one Canadian to another.... I love your spirit, energy and positive attitude Gabi!! You seem like you would be everyone's best friend and favourite person cuz you're so genuine and relatable ❤
Great review Gabby, being an oily skinned girl I tried the maybelline tint as everyone was saying that was better than the L'Oréal tint,I'd already discovered the rimmel as I live in the UK, been using it since it came out, I love it so I didn't bother trying any others til last week, definitely missed a trick, the L'Oréal one is amazing, didn't powder down my face and it looked brilliant after a 7hr shift, win win, happy girl here. Love that you used the same amount of product and the same tools, very thorough and much appreciated, also the fact they were all affordable...well done x
🇨🇦 Canadian girl here! I’m 55 and would love to see more Canadian items. I currently use Seint makeup but use Maybelline Dream BB Fresh Cream as my “foundation” and absolutely love it. Thanks Gabbi!
Im using both the Maybelline and Loreal and They are just as good as the high end . I was gonna buy the cover Girl , but as a oily Girl Im not gonna try it after watching your test . Thanks so much and yes i love to hear the difference of the creams ! Such a jungle .
Yes! Full face of Rimmel! You should try the Rimmel London lasting finish foundation. It is gorgeous! Emily Noel raves about it and is why I tried it and it’s fabulous! Good coverage, not cakey, last a really long time. It reminds me so much of the YSL luminous matte foundation. They even smell the same to me. Please do full face of Rimmel ❤
YES!!! I have been using the last 2, Maybelline Superstay and the Loreal True match nude ones for over a year now. At 50 living in sunny Queensland Australia my whole life, i find these SO EASY and light for my out and about days. Honestly i prefer them over my Dior, Armani, Pat Mc and all my other foundations unless im out for a special occasion usually at night. So glad others are enjoying the wonders of these well priced products. 💜🇦🇺
The Loreal had such a beautiful finish. How do you think it holds us against sweating? Or is the Maybelline one much better? Thanks from the hot and humid southern US!
@@helenanderson2065 I live in a very hot and humid climate myself in Queensland Australia, i find that it holds up really well in our weather here. I will say i always use a very , very light setting powder especially around the areas i tend to get oily. Ive just been out today for about 5 hours and it was about 28 degrees C. outside and when i got home my daughter who is 23 commented on how amazing my makeup still looked. Shes very honest and a really incredible artist with makeup herself so i trust her opinion, and i just have to look at it myself to know it still looks great. I do actually use the Maybelline Super Stay 24 hr skin tint underneath the Loreal true match nude tinted serum most of the time. I find the Maybelline one is very luminous and has very light coverage which is fine some days, but when i like a little more of a light foundation coverage with the slight glowing finish the both together are incredible!! I also always use a beauty blender to apply it. Hope this gives you some insight into how it holds up in humid weather conditions. ☺️ Ohh i also do use setting spray before and after applying the tint.
I love the fact that you chose to carefully follow the same application method and the exact same quantity of each product you tested 🥰 It's very professional and it allows a valid comparison between the different products 🤗 Love ya ❤ I own both Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint and L'Oreal True Match, the formulas are very close to each other (actually almost identical, they wear equally long and well) but the Maybelline is slightly more glowy, has more coverage and enhances pores more than the L'Oréal one 😉
Love this video & yes please show us bb & cc creams. Im 68 & during the summer months dont want a heavy foundTion but just want (need) something on to look & feel nice when i go out .❤
Also, I agree 100% about the L’Oréal True Match applicator. I don’t even squeeze any out, I just use the extra on the outside of the applicator. It needs a “squeegee”-type insert to keep the applicator clean.
Yes on Loreal True Match Nude! Been using it a few years and out of fomo tried other in between and always go back to that one! Looks the most natural, non drying not sticky, the best.

For the last several years I’ve worn Marcelle Sheer Tint Moisturizer exclusively (which I love!!). Last week I picked up the L’Oréal True Match Nude because of your recent glowing recommendations. Girl, I feel so darn pretty at a time when I’ve been feeling my age and really needed a boost. Thank you for all you do for us!!!!! 💗💗💗💗💗
🇨🇦 Canadian fan from Toronto here! My everyday perfect base makeup is Marcelle sheer tint with SPF 30 and Marcelle talc free transluscent powder is my favourite over high end brands. Thanks for reviewing Canadian brands!! ❤
This is very helpful. I'm almost 60 and don't always want a full coverage foundation everyday! ❤ Sometimes, I want to look pretty without a ton of work! This gave me options. Thank you! ❤
True Match nude is my favorite also! Thank you for your review. You have such a kind, friendly and honest presentation and you always make me smile. I appreciate you so much. I would like a review on the difference between skin tints, balms, etc as you asked. ❤
I actually love the Cover Girl Essence. I use a lot less than you did. It works great. Very hydrating. I wear alone or (more often) in place of primer with a light foundation on top. It’s lovely for summer. No creasing for me.
🇨🇦 Love that you compared all these skin tints. My go to is the L'Oreal True Match Nude. I'm curious about your thoughts on Marcelle and Annabelle products as well both being Canadian cosmetic companies.
🇨🇦 Relatively new to your channel but have been enjoying all your tutorials. I am a fairly minimal user of makeup but have learned a lot on how to apply product in my fifties from you. I appreciate your efforts please don't forget about your fellow Canadians. We are out there

I've recently found your channel and really like it. I like how you seem real and don't seem to put a filter on your face. Very refreshing. And I adore the L'oreal serum foundation. I'm oily and it lasts all day on me. It's beautiful.
Welcome to the channel! When it comes to skin / foundation videos I feel like I have to keep it filter free so you can really see what the product does.
Thanks for the reviews Gabi. I love the Cover Girl tint. I find it goes in best with my fingers. I’m 64 with combo skin and it lasts all day with little shine. I’m surprised you didn’t like it.
Hello Gabby, love your new videos; something change it’s nice! Yes more videos one product different brands. And thank you for showing in real light we can see much better how the foundation look like. It makes me want to buy the l’oréal now. Merci❤
I also LOVE the L'Oreal True Match Nude. And absolutely agree with you about the messy applicator. I clean the rim of both bottle and applicator because there's tint all over, no matter how hard I try to keep it perfect. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
Hi Gabbi, my favorites by far is the L’Oréal and I do agree the applicator sucks . I think most of the L’Oréal foundations are fabulous for drugstore. I really dislike the Cover Girl one. Have a wonderful week. 💜💜💜
Hi Gabi, I like the Maybelline Skin Tint very much, although, it does seem more like regular long wear foundation. I apply it with my BK Beauty 101 brush. I dispense it in the palm of my had, swirl my brush in it and stipple it on. I get very even coverage this way. Thanks for this video!
I love the Loreal too but the Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint is so amazing, it doesn't settle in my 67 year old skin and just stunning. It is my go to day to day skin tint. Hope you try!
You should try wet and wild tinted hydrator. Omg! I have tried many high end to drug store foundation to bb cream. It is so so so good! It makes me feel excited to put on make up everyday. Before I discovered it, all other foundations will oxidize or separate or cakey! Thank you for your reviews! ❤

🇨🇦Hello fellow Canadian. I really appreciate your content. I am 47 years young with fine hair issues as well as changing skin. I also find your makeup and skin care advice super helpful. I love that you are Canadian, showing products that are available here in Canada. ❤
Thanks for sharing!! I really appreciate your comment. 🇨🇦 👯♀️
Yes please more try on videos. I love them because they really give me a sense of the product.
LOVE THIS VIDEO! And yes, I’m totally in for a video on the differences in the BB, CC creams, etc. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge!
Great videos Gabi. You can get a foundation pump that fits on the L’Oreal bottle from Nordstrom.
Merci❤
Hello, I highly recommend Rimmel loose powder with royal blue lid, the long stay eye pencils and lip pencils, the bronzer annd blush.
Thank you! 🇨🇦 Yes, love seeing the try-on footage in natural lighting 👌🏼
More to come!
🇨🇦I’m a proud mature Canadian and have learned a lot from your videos! Keep doing you!
Thank you! Will do!
I also use the L´oreal true match, I definitely agree that it is a very good choice!❤
Canadian here…love seeing some brands we have here
Would love to see a review/explanation of skin tint/ BB cream/ CC cream! Hope it's more that marketing gimmicks😊
I also LOVE the L'Oreal True Match Nude. And absolutely agree with you about the messy applicator. I clean the rim of both bottle and applicator because there's tint all over, no matter how hard I try to keep it perfect. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
The L'oreal true match hyaluronic skin tint is my everyday foundation. I love it!
I’ve been waiting to watch this video. I’ve yet to purchase a drugstore skin tint. Thanks for the information 🩷
Of course, bring on the skin, bb cream, cc cream video! Can't wait 😊
Yep the L’Oreal foundation is my favourite too. So good! I have oily skin and live in a humid climate.
It's so good!
