Trevor is actually one of the smartest characters in the GTA world. He knows when things are being set up and is able to tell apart the truth and what is a lie pretty easily. Not to mention he does know how to run a business. Even if it sells illegal drugs, it’s very difficult to do so and Trevor manages to do it without much difficulty. He’s not mention an amazing pilot who knows the in and out of military and commercial airliners, and military routines. The only holding him back is his batshit craziness, and even then I think that helps him in a lot of these situations when it comes to figuring things out.

Honestly, Franklin was my favorite protagonist. He was loyal, reliable, and always got the job done. He fought to help himself and the people he cared about
