This arc was so good (for me at least). The antagonists purposely damaged him psychologically that he had to cry. I liked seeing this side of Ichigo, all he ever wanted is the power to protect the people he loves but he gets betrayed by his “friend” and all his loved ones gets controlled by Tsukishima.
Honestly, I'll never know why the Fullbringer arc is so diminished by others, sure can understand if it may not have been exciting/action filled as other arcs. But why in general? Liked how different they felt from the countless hollow/soul reaper battles. Like you said...we actually see a lot more of this personality in this arc more so than any other. Last time I remember he got torn up this badly was when he fought Grand Fisher and saw his mom's spirit. Seeing him weeping there on the floor....finally thinking he regained all his lost abilities only to lose it all to the one he trusted the most at that point, only to also lose everyone else close to him.....family....closest friends...boss.....all the other friends he met alongside Ginjo. All he can do is scream and cry on the cold rain covered ground. I mean Damn...the way Uryu even looks at him during that scene is like "wow....even he feels so broken over Ichigo's loss".
I honestly think this one of my favorite arcs next to the episodes pre-dating the soul society arc, Ishida's battle in Soul Society alongside Ichigo vs Byakuya finale/Renji Vs Byakuya. I never really got hugely teared up from this show past feeling a punch to the heart...but these final moments of the Fullbring arc.....Literally broke me into tears. We thought he experienced his greatest depression during his final battles with Aizen, yet that was only the beginning as we know. In this not only is his whole inner world flooded like the town surrounding him, "BUT" he's always heavily wrapped around in chains, physically and emotionally forcing him down on the ground. With only his pure resolve/desire and pride he retained in the very beginning of the show, being enough to break all the chains apart to stand once more. As stated it may not be the most action filled, may not be most meaningful to some, and the powers may not be as enticing as previous arcs provided. But there's no way we can deny how emotional this one felt across the entirety of the series (361 aaaaallll the way back to episode 1 and onward).
Who knows if the 1000 year blood war would've made an even more devastating impact in comparison, had it been animated. (which unfortunately never will besides fan creation). But this one to me at least makes the most impact in this regard throughout Bleach's course. Enjoy Soul Society only, Enjoy Arrancar's only, Enjoy even filler arcs like bounts, Amagi, Mod Soul. But can people please...at least give this one more of a chance/better outlook than what's normally given?
firestar01234 A good reason why it’s despise this because the author try to go back to the every day school life format but that kind of thing doesn’t work after having such a conclusive conclusion to the last art like the last part of the story had a big bad that was built up for two seasons not only that it had its protagonist use every ounce of this energy to try to take now which he himself failed to do
Not only that it had our protagonist just kind of wondering around kind of sulking and not really doing much in the hands of a capable rider in this part of the story could have been really good but it’s not handled well you have a bunch of useless side plates just introduced in that or just dropped called the villains involved in this sorry for not particularly memorable nor do they have a lasting impact over the course of the entire series in fact posted this arc and they’re just kind of there and they never do anything or say anything of relevance
Barring the Book keeper guy Who does some nonsensical thing to repair our protagonist sword which was quickly broken again
Ichigo Crying after a dude that he’s met for two weeks Manchester not only take away his powers again but managed to turn his friends and family against him and what does he do in response to this is that he cries like a baby instead of getting fired up like the hero he is supposed to be just the string all credibility he has a hero and as a guy that people can get behind that’s the one thing that I believe has always had a flaw with is that people say that the characters are really relatable when they’re really not the short one emotion and everyone asked like it’s such a normal reaction it’s not in the real world he would have been infuriated especially if it’s something that meant the world know the universe to him
What I will say is that this part of the story illustrates why Orhime Is not a fit for him like the dude and her spend like a year and a half together and there is no progression in the relationship like at all if she meant the universe to him sit like she was supposedly was meant to then why isn’t he cuddling up to her why isn’t he showing her more fun lesson before she’s doing the heavy lifting she’s trying to get to know him better but he just could not give any less of a crap but what happens when
Rukia turns he’s just full of smiles as if she was meant for him when he completes her but that’s quickly just tested under the rug for his returning hours which are then lost again in the next part of the story it’s stupid this entire fall bring arc was unneeded would’ve much preferred it if he just went into the final part of the story even know that part is also hard garbage it would be much better than this
I never really saw a problem with it focusing back to the world/his daily life, mean that happens in "almost" every arc. After being slashed down by Renji? Was back to normal life before heading out similarly to his job/school with this arc. Same after he finished in the soul society and the start of the arrancars, back to life again before being thrust back in. Mean taken into context it practically happens a lot even if some series choose to create a time-skip instead of using time to detail what's happened during (blank) time. Can't disagree with the sulking though before the real events started.
The protagonist is supposed to find a way to become strong emotionally and physically to some degree that's correct; however I don't personally think in context that it makes sense for them to be impenetrable 110% of the time as if they have no spirit or heart to begin with. That things are never allowed to resonate with them in a empowering or hurtful way. We did see him get fired up against "book keeper guy" as he continues to show up with those around him and even punches him into glass when bringing up the fact that he's already interacted with his absolute closest friends and manipulated them as well by this point. Even when storms into his residence, again enraged by what he's done to those around him then attacking him and landing a few hits. Doesn't really amount to much and only make things worse in long-run...again like many other series I see where characters lash out in fired state. Even to the point where there actions lead to death or very possible one. (same thing against Aizen on Sokyoku Hill, several attempts against Ulquiorra, fight against Gin as well) When stripped away from all those means, is he supposed to get up from the ground by sheer willpower and punch his offenders to death?
Time doesn't really measure the effect/outcome taken on a persons stability or actions and adapting that mindset can also be a downfall, think that was proven by blindsightedness of captains with Aizen, Gin, and Kaname. If it was true he shouldn't have harbored any feelings towards Rukia, Renji, or anyone that he met during his beginnings as a Soul Reaper. Why should her execution have mattered or Renji's favor/pleading have made any effect on him instead of letting both die w/o getting involved compared to Orihime's abduction? When deprived of something we desired so drastically don't think it would really leave much of a discrete outcome whether it's 2 weeks, 5 months, 10 years? "Exterior wounds tend to heal much faster, than those we try to conceal inside" Hence why he felt so destroyed emotionally compared to physical injury and was left to cry in torture, despair, and indignation/hatred for how he was unable to do anything be left with only more problems around him.
Never really saw much of a connection for Orihime nor Rukia with him, as don't ever like to tie relationship strings together in shows unless completely obvious or stated by said character (Spike Spiegel & Julia, Vegeta & Bumla, Inyuyasha & Kagome, Naruto X Hinata, etc) So can accept what you say about why neither should be a reasonable fit for him, especially not Rukia as see that more like a strong friendship or disciple to him if anything. Either way I'll always enjoy this arc for what it was and how much more emotional driven it was compared to combative sense I felt off from most of the story, then again I usually don't feel as much of an attachment certain parts of this series as everyone else usually does ( majority of Soul Society being one) so maybe this was just meant for me personally.
But thank you for at least giving an in-depth reason as to why you feel and distinguish it as sorely lacking and trivial part to the series. Actually explaining the multitude of ways and scenarios that made it unfavorable instead of just saying how it needed more dramatic fight scenes, why is it 90% talking, these characters are dumb, and what not without any clear reason/motive. I definitely can't blame you for not enjoying it as it is a very different style from other portions of Bleach, nor will I try to say your point is invalid for feeling as such since not like everyone is going to enjoy same things, right? Should freely enjoy whatever arcs left most impressions on us and at least to me with ones like this, give a chance or describe like you have about what made it have a negative influence in your enjoyment or towards its progression in general. Thanks for also not just crudely bashing my perspectives either like what you'd normally expect online/in general these days.
firestar01234 Oh no you can enjoy whatever you want and trust me I know what you’re saying I’ve been to the bleach sub Reddit it’s like a war zone over there you say one discredit of bleach and it’s like yeah might as well have just set a bunch of racial slurs
I can understand a good cool down arc that’s very mellow that’s got a little bit of mystery and it to get that fan entry going but I just think that as a writer Kubo Does not have that capability to handle it with kid gloves I feel like the arc before this one was with the story was building up the big bad of that season felt like the big bad of the series sure there was like a whole Christmas list of unanswered questions and unseen things but ultimately I think we could let that slide if it was handled a bit better and things from the parks that preceded it or just add it into it to just make it one big gigantic arc but that’s a topic for another day but no problem sir glad you for being understanding
Oh One more thing I’ve always viewed Ichigo and Rukia Being a more fit together because of that friendship it is such a unique and organic thing that it’s almost preposterous that they didn’t end up together it’s like this dude has all of his meaningful character moments with them we even see it in this full bring part of the story and that she give him back his smile she gives him a reason to move forward with his life and it’s like you can’t write a better love story than that he had the ability to probably make one of the most organic and probably the most well-written love story within shonen but decided to not take that route and it’s a damn shame I really think that’s one of the deciding factors of his legacy
If only debates like this could be more civilized and realistic to what you'd expect huh? No pointless swearing, name calling like hispter fag or nostalgic idiot, no why our opinion is wrong and should die in hell for it or like we've murdered the second coming of christ because of it, just a normal discussion between two opposite sides on a anime spectrum. (plus if we're arguing about a TV show that seriously, I'd think we'd have more pressing issues to worry about)
I guess I could see that with their history together, I honestly would've thought either Ichigo would've ended up with Rukia. But I guess with the backstory you saw with Renji it does made a tad more sense in a degree how it ended. At least in Rukia's case, Orihime's I still have no clue. Definitely glad and gives hope to see that there's someone like you on here that can talk decently and length-fully about his insight/thoughts on a subject, don't see that very often. Kind of reminded me of Jushiro and Shunsui's disagreement w/ Yamamoto the way we were able to go about it xD.
the difference between ichigo&naruto is that when ichigo cries it hits hard,of course when naruto cries it hits as hard too,but we rarely see ichigo cry which is why it hits me
Actually, on the Anime, this is the only time you'll see him crying (besides his flashbacks of when he was just a kiddo and his mom passed away), all other times, he's "only" on the verge of crying, but he doesn't get that far. Even when he toughth that Yuzu had died from the miasma on the hell movie, his full hollow form takes over him before he gets to shed a tear.
Naruto is just more empathetic than Ichigo :D

Imagine only wanting to protect your friends and family. For those reasons you want to gain power to be able to protect them, but get betrayed by the people you only wanted to protect. Fullbring arc is often thought to be bad as it doesn't compare well enough to other arcs in terms of action, but to be honest I loved the fullbring arc as it shows how helpless ichigo was, not just because he didn't have powers but because how lonely he became. No other villain brought him to this stage where he had truly lost everything.
fullbring was better than agent shinigami lol i slept the entire arc except 1st episode and when renji byakuya appeared
Also that he really wanted to become a shimigami
And he had a lot of hope for becoming one which later on didn’t go as he expected ppl really sleep on that arc in bleach I really enjoyed it
For me it was better than espada arc cuz the pacing of fights were just bad
Those fans are idiots they just understand actions but not the story
@@anjanavapati3131 yeah
I think this was the moment he appreciated and no longer took his powers for granted... it was the necessary step for Ichigo to accept Zangetsu and everything he was completely in the next process that came in TYBW. If you recall, in the very beginning he like Karin wasnt to fond in having the ability to see spirits then not being able to do much after they disappeared and he saw small blood splatters. One of my favorite quotes is when Ichigo talks about the world finally rotating. His power were what made him everything he is only to get robbed of himself
"give it back, ginjo."
Stop it😢
Negative, give It my Power back ginjou
Kaise GINJOOOOOOOOOO.
It hurts to remember it...
I can hear him saying that😔
Ichigo crying hurts my soul. Not to mention Orihime sensing he was upset and tried to get to him, crying herself begging him not cry. I bawled like a baby 😭😭

Bleach and naruto has the worst kind of sadness, you feel it deeply in your heart, as if it was your problem ,and you have to solve it but still you want to feel more and more from this kind of grief.

Rest in peace to Shōzō Iizuka... The Voice actor of Espada 2, Barragan. He died February 15 2023. He will always be the king of hueco mundo.
I think that nobody kinda cares abt him since barragan was fodder 😭

Seeing him cry and alone in this scene hit me hard, the guy is always looking out for others, genuinely a good person, always getting screwed over, doubting himself as a result and his actions, yet he’s the only one who can really protect them all , it’s wild to think how much more power he has in him he doesn’t know about!
Anyone else pressed on the video because they are depressed or is it just me

Yeah i admit it..
Yeah..
This week I am losing my job

The soundtrack of Depression
dang true
Your goddamn right son.
he died twice protecting his friends and his friends only betrayed him.
Man this acr was hard af. It wasn't Shonen shit friendship is power. Kubo went for the emotions and psychology. He broke the main character. That arc was amazing in it's own way
The way ichigo was thoroughly broken in every way is depressing and horrifying. It was cruel what happened to him and it's why I feel Tsukishima and Gingo are the most monstrous villains in the show.
And thats why the fullbringer arc is actually peak fiction
Ichigo is the best main character because he will give everything to save his love ones and I know that is why I respect him more than any character in anime and fiction
Seeing Ichigo cry hits home for me. He’s a strong person so when I see him cry, I know he’s truly hurt.
Ichigo crying hits different cuz u rarely see him cry besides the flash backs
Whenever im at a low point in my life and feel like im not achieving my goals. I play this while meditating and manifesting. Then once the song stops playing, i get back on my feet and get back to work! This ost has helped me achieve many great things! Ichigo is a beast 💯

All he wanted to do was protect the ones he loved. The feeling of being betrayed by the same loved ones broke him and took him outside his strong character, showed us the young Ichigo who couldn't protect his mother.
"ICHIGO KUROSAKI, THE MISUNDERSTOOD PROTAGONIST"
as the violin starts playing, i feel a wave of goosebumps down my spine traveling along with this beautiful melody. what a genius artist and what an emotional anime. great experience from every perspecitve
Exactly the same feeling........
You are just speaking the truth now... Love the violing and the piano, something that is truly like a piece of art.
the rain fits this theme really well
This is the best arc of Bleach so far.
I like how Ichigo hopeless and depressed after being crushed by Tsukishima mentally and not to mention his power, the last thing he have was taken by Ginjo
That moment when he felt like could not protect anyone 💔but he always did protect his friends and family ichigo is my favorite anime character and he always will be❤️😭
this guy had it so rough, always so carefree and cheerful
he himself forgets how much of burdens hes carrying on his shoulders..ichigo we all love you
ichigo don't cry 💔
i went from “damn this song hits hard” to “holy shit how many times are they gonna play this song”
Seeing Ichigo cry in despair to get his powers back makes me cry too 😢😭😭
I’m really tired of my life but I’m trying so hard not to end it. Im just mentally tired 😔💯
This is definitely my favourite arc. Not the hypest, not the most action packed but god damn. The way they psychologically fuck up Ichigo to the point he cries, the fact we had never seen him at such a low point ever.
How Ginjo and Tsikishima destroyed Ichigo none will
That's the real meaning of gaslighting.
The way they made him really want to kill a person
Ichigo is now drowning in an indescribable emptiness

Ichigo wouldn't have went down the same path

@@adamtruong1759well its kinda complicated but the first substitute was ginjo which soul society betrayed and didn't trust so he turns evil so if ichigo was first he would be the same as ginjo maybe.

Really if you think about it Ichigo is a alone, he never shared and hard memory with his mom. It must hurt knowing you’re mom died and now you need to protect you’re friends so it doesn’t happen to them. Ichigo has went through a lot, all respect for Ichigo ✊
Yea and for some reason his dad doesn’t rlly seem to have the same reaction compared to his sisters but I guess that’s just another way of loving someone 👍
@@bloopbop8825 The dad was already previously a substitute soul reaper, and he'd probably adapted to emotion like that. We also know that he too felt a lot of emotion from his wife's death, but he played it off and became silly for both gags and his children's sake

I hate the rain. When your heart is in chaos, this sky becomes terribly easily. Can you understand... the horror of being pelted by rain in this solitary world? If only to stop the rain, I shall lend you any strenght. If you trust in me. I will let no rain fall in this world. Trust me. Your not fighting alone.
" Do you know why i hate the rain, Ichigo? "
Ichigo In this arc reminds me of a normal person with true depression and a dismantled psyche
i think when an mc cries for the first time that’s when it really hits you the most and this scene did that the best
is it just me or does anyone feel emotional too when listening to this theme?
Seeing ichigo crys hurts he always tried to protect the one he loves and was always carrying the past with him about his mother and how he Blames himself.

This was such a sad arc for so many reasons. As a watcher it gives you the feeling that it is the 'beginning of the end' of Bleach. Right before this arc Ichigo and Rukia go ice skating to celebrate their remaining time together because they know Ichigo is losing his powers and won't be able to see her. And as his powers fade it begins to dawn on you that Ichigo's journey will have to end at some point whether you want it to or not. To me this moment was a culmination of not only Ichigo feeling powerless to save those in need, but also feeling powerless because it is the dawning realization that he will not be able to go back to who he was as a soul reaper. And if he does, he understands better than anyone that it will have to end at some point. When I watched this scene, it almost felt surreal to me that Bleach would at some point come to an end and Ichigo might end up as a 'normal' person. They did a masterful job of creating that nostalgia and feeling in the watcher of 'is this really it...I'm not ready yet." However, it's nice that they created a feeling of hope at the end. It showed that not everything Ichigo did in the end was a waste regardless of whether he retains his powers. In the end when he feels the most powerless and betrayed, his friends arrive to repay their debts to him. One of my favorite moments in Bleach was when Byakuya made the decision to take Ichigo's side and kill Tsukushima even through his altered memories. "I do indeed owe my life to you. I am grateful. But you are Ichigo Kurosaki's enemy. Therefore no matter whose life you saved...I will not hesitate to kill you." Plus Tsukushima probably never had a great beach day with Byakuya. Currently watching TYBW and still not ready for Bleach to end!
I can feel the pain 😢
If you never cryed after watching this you are strong 😢😢
