For Nickelodeon & Nicktoons showings, the show received a TV-Y7 because Nickelodeon's Standards & Practices department edited some episodes by shortening or removing certain scenes, like the Nick showing of the pilot. There was a scene in which Ren unknowingly caressed Stimpy in his sleep. it was in the original version, but not the Nick airing. You get it?

Nope, while it's true that the show declined in quality after the creator John K. was fired, he deserved it, he mistreated his employees, working with him is a pain in the ass, and the episodes were still delivered late, that's why Nickelodeon fired him, and years later, he was accused of sexual harassment with underage girls, he ruined his own career.
