@@taopaille-paille4992 i think it's some new measurement tool that takes depth, speed & spin ration into account. Still, i'd be interested to know the exact details because i don't think you can really express the quality of a shot with one number. It also depends where your opponent is in the court, how you follow it up, etc.

Ok. I found one comment out of 100 here that came from a tennis fan. Tabilo is having an excellent season. He won Auckland. He lost in the final of Santiago (which is on clay for all the commenters here), and he just won a small clay event two weeks ago. He is a lefty. He played a few top 10 players very close this year as well. Guess we will see how far he goes here. But if you don’t know, now you know, he is on the rise and his prime at 26. This doesn’t say as much about Novak as you all want it to.

Novak thrives on intensity and pressure. And that he derives from either the crowd, his opponent, or his shortcomings. He lets the pressure build up like a cooker and then explodes, channeling it into his game.
Novaks greatest weapon is actually his huge alpha, gargantuan ego, and pride. The intense belief that he is the best and the almost un-earthly will to overcome every obstacle to win. No one will get in his way. And he has the game to back it up.
This year, though, if you follow him carefully, he has been extremely laid back-- far more interactive with fans, attending multiple pressers, non-tennis events, non-tennis related podcasts and interviews, showing his carefree, jovial side much more etc etc. That intense will to win seems to have vanished.
Without his trump card: intensity, Novak can be defeated by almost anyone in the Top 20 or so, provided they're on their game...like today.
I believe next year's Australian open will be his last tournament. And he will not win any slam this year. Extremely disheartening for any die-hard Novak Djokovic fan.

  • @excalibur9545

As a true FEDAL fan who, unlike many others here, still has respect for Djokovic no matter who they root for, I find the whole thing strange. I read in the newspaper the other day that Novak may also have problems with his wife. And as far as I know, he still doesn't have a new, permanent coach. So I certainly wouldn't write him off yet, but as I saw in this video, he didn't play like he usually does - he lacked aggression, passion or simply hunger, it's hard to say. I don't think he'll retire soon, but it could be a step in that direction, like Federer & Nadal. So I'm not speculating and hope he's doing well and gets his problems under control and can still achieve his wishes/goals.
