Tabilo's forehand quality in the match was a 9.2! (Tour average 7.6)
how to measure forehand quality (which tools?)
Tabilo jugo nivel Dios 🇨🇱😎🏆
@@taopaille-paille4992 i think it's some new measurement tool that takes depth, speed & spin ration into account. Still, i'd be interested to know the exact details because i don't think you can really express the quality of a shot with one number. It also depends where your opponent is in the court, how you follow it up, etc.
The old man gotta retire now before he did a Federer, who waited for Nadal n Djokovic to disappear temporarily for him to get that last title...
Oh well Federer actually did a Pete Sampras, in the first place
Tabilo is the current Champion here at my home tournament in Auckland. This was an Excellent match from him. Best Wishes to continue a Great Season! Cheers from NZ.
Cheers from Santiago de Chile
Everyone is blaming Djokovic for playing bad ( shocking, the reason being we seldom see the big 3 lose). But let's rather credit Alejandro Tabilo for playing a perfect match, great serve, good return game, less errors. Bravo! 👏🏻
yep Tabilo is very dangerous when he's on. Dimitrov also acknowledged that a few weeks ago when he just edged out a victory against him.
he.lost.on purpose.man
Absolutely Tablio was as good as djoker was mediocre , his serve was excellent and his movement was outstanding , his return was on point although to be fair he didn’t have to do an awful lot to get those breaks don’t think I’ve ever seen Novak play so fast it was very strange
@@haydengarinduchesne9269 It seems like Nole wanted to run away from the court as soon as possible...
Then prove if he is better. Do not do the same mistake just like what Luca Nardi did after beating Djokovic
¡ERES UN ORGULLO PARA TODO CHILE, JANO! 👏🏼
From 2007 to 2023, Nole reached at least quarterfinals in Rome for 17 straight years.
This match really looked like the end of an era.
Maybe on clay but not on Grass or hard courts but all the pepole forgott that he was in the semis in monte Carlo its not that bad
He has't played a lot of tennis this year and is without a permanent coach. Isn't this his first clay court tournament? Never write him off - he'll be harder to beat over 5 sets.

Number 1 players win even when playing badly. The truth is that Tabilo overpowered Djoko in every aspect (serve, winners, break points, etc). Let’s give credit where credit is due. Te amo por siempre Tabi ❤ ídolo!
Good play by the Chilean. Don't write off Novak. Bad day at the office for him but credit to the Chilean for playing nerveless attacking tennis. Exciting player.
Bad year at the office for Djokovic, so far.
@@potzysk2 yes he hasn't been the same after losing in Davis cup last year to Italy. Let's see how it goes. As long as tennis is exciting I'm happy.
Where has this guy been tho??!
Off planet??!
@@leonardobraynen1524 he recently won a small tournament and had some good runs. It's going to be interesting to see how he capitalizes on this big win
I am not. But his days seem to be numbered now as kids half his age take him on and can pump twice as much blood as he can.
Excellent match from Tabilo. He's also beaten very good players and just won a tournament last week before Rome Open so he's riding high and very hot.
Ok. I found one comment out of 100 here that came from a tennis fan. Tabilo is having an excellent season. He won Auckland. He lost in the final of Santiago (which is on clay for all the commenters here), and he just won a small clay event two weeks ago. He is a lefty. He played a few top 10 players very close this year as well. Guess we will see how far he goes here. But if you don’t know, now you know, he is on the rise and his prime at 26. This doesn’t say as much about Novak as you all want it to.
well said.
It confirms that Djoker, so far this year, has not won any tournaments. As soon as Djoker plays a hot player he is defeated
Karen will send him home
My brother in Christ, nothing of that sort never mattered for Djokovic, the dude is on a losing streak for the ages. Anytime someone beats Djoko everyone says: oh this dude is great, glad to see him coming this far, oh watch out he is a rising star.. but then the same dude loses to another nobody on the next 2 games. Djoko never lost these types of games, he's cooked. That doesnt mean I dont believe hes neves going to win anything else, just that I believe his times are over
That Nato bottel opening his head like a coconut, was pivotal for this defeat.

The credibility of professional Chilean tennis competitor keeps elevating and boosting within this stage. It manifests that Tabilo will be more consistent in the forthcoming periods. A solid and confident performance from Tabilo.
Tabilo is in great form lately, he's gonna be a serious outsider in Paris.
Oh man early exit in Rome for Novak has never happened in ages. It’s always been his bounce back tournament when he uncommonly struggled in the past 4 masters tournament.
Relax. He's just shaking off rust and isn't giving his best. He elevates his game in Grand Slams.
@@jonfreeman9682 that is true, however winning builds confidence and also an aura that your opponents fear or respect. Novak is no exception to that rule. He could very well crash out of Paris early if he faces a strong opponent. And there are many strong opoonents on clay, it was never Novak's best surface...
Novak isn’t winning RG this year
Nadal is gonna win RG
And we gonna see Djokovic vs Nadal.
This all a TRP rating stunt, not surprised that sinner, alcaraz, Medvedev all injured

This match was very similar to the one against Sinner at AO - Nole got destroyed, didn't earn a single break point, and kept getting punished for his poor dropshots.
His return and ability to rally has significantly declined this year, and the only thing that's still keeping him competitive is his serve. He'll turn 37 in two weeks.

Glad to see the younger guys are stepping up. It’s about time.
Next Gen (18-24) is where its at! Delusional fans are threatened by the inevitable disruption of the long-held status quo & that's why they continue to come after Shelton in particular with such irrational vitriol. All that bad karma continues to wash over Creatina since Davis Cup.
Jannik Sinner created the blueprint on how to beat Djokovic. the next gen are following it to the tee.

@@errolodriscoll239 🤣😂You're confusing my assessment of him as a player with my assessment of people who can't accept that he was beaten.
I get irritated by Casual tennis fans who don't know players outside the top 10, saying Djokovic played bad js a very st**id thing to say, considering TABILO has been going crazy of recent.
Still… come on… you have to be able to read the body language a bit.

Tabilo played very well and he is a beast on clay, but come on! Anyone who watches tennis can see that Novak just went through the motions. If you can’t see that then you are a casual tennis fan yourself. He double faulted on match point!!! 1 hour match on clay??? It just looked like he didn’t want to play today. Tabilo can go deep. It’s a wide open draw for him.
So Foderer expired a decade ago and Rafa several years back. Novak is about to. There never was a big 3.Just another tennis fan
Big 3 era is fading 😢
Dude made AO semis and just won so much last year. Chill 😂
Thank God
Ending you mean??
It's over. At this point in his career you can't have an off year. When you are 25 you can bounce back. When you are 37 and you waste a year, now you're 38 and the younger guys are coming into their primes. I think djokovic knows it too. @@federicorusso4378
Bravooooo Alejandro!! Excelente partido con un grande del tenis!!! Felicitaciones!!!!
Seems like Djoko was having a casual hit with a family friend, on a hot Sunday afternoon, at the local park in Belgrade. No fire, no intensity, no purpose...just going through the motions.
Last year's fiery Novak seems to have disappeared into thin air.
The split with Ivanisevic was due to far more friction than anyone is letting on. It's definitely caused a drop in his level.
Probably also because he has nothing left to play for, and he's also nearly 37 (time catches up to everyone). Sure, he has the records, etc., but with the retirements of Federer, Nadal, Thiem, Murray, presumably Wawrinka soon and a few others, his motivation seems to be gone.
@@kyla.s5838 A little but at this level a little is all that matters. Plus come on now we all know he was tryna get the hell out of there after that horrible event.
Novak thrives on intensity and pressure. And that he derives from either the crowd, his opponent, or his shortcomings. He lets the pressure build up like a cooker and then explodes, channeling it into his game.
Novaks greatest weapon is actually his huge alpha, gargantuan ego, and pride. The intense belief that he is the best and the almost un-earthly will to overcome every obstacle to win. No one will get in his way. And he has the game to back it up.
This year, though, if you follow him carefully, he has been extremely laid back-- far more interactive with fans, attending multiple pressers, non-tennis events, non-tennis related podcasts and interviews, showing his carefree, jovial side much more etc etc. That intense will to win seems to have vanished.
Without his trump card: intensity, Novak can be defeated by almost anyone in the Top 20 or so, provided they're on their game...like today.
I believe next year's Australian open will be his last tournament. And he will not win any slam this year. Extremely disheartening for any die-hard Novak Djokovic fan.
As a true FEDAL fan who, unlike many others here, still has respect for Djokovic no matter who they root for, I find the whole thing strange. I read in the newspaper the other day that Novak may also have problems with his wife. And as far as I know, he still doesn't have a new, permanent coach. So I certainly wouldn't write him off yet, but as I saw in this video, he didn't play like he usually does - he lacked aggression, passion or simply hunger, it's hard to say. I don't think he'll retire soon, but it could be a step in that direction, like Federer & Nadal. So I'm not speculating and hope he's doing well and gets his problems under control and can still achieve his wishes/goals.
There's been speculation about Novak's marriage for a number of years.
Who knows? But he sure didn't look very interested today.
Djokovic is probably a difficult person to get along with if you spend a lot of time with him. Ivanisevic seems like a guy anybody could get along with, but they parted ways because of friction. Vajda left a couple years ago because he "wanted to be with his family more", but who knows the real reason?
Grande Tabilo!!!

Tabilo has a great forehand! I like his serve as well.
this was one game , , it takes many many more wins ( not to mention GS victories... ) to even approach the mountain that Novak has scaled and sits atop...
Insane hitting from Tabilo
To all the Nole fans who disturbingly rejoiced on social media when Alcaraz and Sinner withdrew from Rome due to injuries, maybe you should have kept an elegant silence.
What are you blabbering? We, Novak fans, don't hate on Alcaraz, nor Sinner. We like both of them. Why are you, Rafatards, so nasty and bitter?
Serbian Novak fans have zero class.
Djokovic saying he had some kind of "injury" in 3,2,1...
Cabron , he received a plastic bottle to the head the other day
Seems like Djokovic never fully recovered from the incident the other day! Joking aside, very well played Alejandro Tabilo. Edit: I must clarify I’m glad that Novak is fine. He himself made light of the situation afterwards by wearing a helmet whilst signing autographs the next day.
Nole fans will be camping on this excuse as he drops from number one at the end of the FO and probably out of the top 5 entirely by the fall.
What happened
Djokovic wasn’t able to concentrate on his game as he was always on the lookout for water bottles. Shame
@@jm7804they are so pathetic. They will be clinging to this excuse as long as he underperforms.
Lame excuse ! Djoker had some great drop shots, so he was not physically impaired. Tabilo was simply the better player.
This fits in with the narrative that Djoker hasn't won any tournament this year.
Novak just didn’t really look motivated, like he wasn’t getting angry he wasnt yelling at his box he wasn’t he wasn’t throwing stuff. He just looked unmotivated and tabilo just ran through him
he is like that when losing on purpose jokovid is a fixing dog win or loses.whenever the bookies says
