Oooh. Tsonga’s game is just so pretty to watch. Even the few points he played well in this match, even on a completely off day, were such a great to the eyes. Just for pure magic off the racquet, Tsonga is the one is put all my money on to watch. Just amazing
Tsonga wasn't 100% on this match. But still, Federer was on God mode that day. He wasn't losing to Tsonga that day, but it could have been more competitive.
The backhand overhead at 1:38 is just too good. Probably the most 'complete' match Fed's played in a grand slam semi or final...unusually high number of 2/3 shot winners..when the man's on, there's no sweeter sight in tennis
to beat federer in a grand slam, mostly on a hard or grass court surface, seem´s like you have to play your ass off, really well, from start to finish in the match and even that is not enough, to beat him, at times..
@kojiro99999 You seem to have Federer at the bottom of Tennis. Are you kidding me? He just started his decline so unless you are like 1, you can't say that last line.
Does Tsonga actually plays basketball, or did the commentator just assumes he plays basketball because he is Black? After Tsonga hits a backhand overhead at 4:50, the commentator said," there's the basketball trick".
No way. I was disappointed that Djoko couldn't make it to the SF to face Fed. This Fed would have destroyed Djoko. Same with 2009AO-Fed. Djoko avoided him then too.
@UTuser76 thats a big claim to make man there are many others that will go down as better performances and I have never heard pundits/commentators comment on this one in the way you are stating. I mean the one many always look to is when he labotimised roddick in the aussie open 07 and other times such as wimby 03 semi & final to name but a few!

The Federer of 2017/2018 is great, but THIS Federer was insane!
Kevin Joel 2003-2010 Federer was the best
And then 2012 and 2017-2018
@@alves10best 2018 😂😂. A joke. As soon as Novak came back, the demolition job started. 2017 was good.
Amazing quality.
Thanks for coming Joe..

that backhand overhead at 1:38...
omg
amazing lol

I would lmao off if Federer decides to walk onto the middle of the court and did Tsonga's celebration right in front of Tsonga.
Federer used Mind Crush.
It's super effective!
Magic!
@modem09 How is a back hand smash considered a basketball movement? I have never seen that in basketball.
This court was so disgustingly slow it hurt my eyes.

@briank2025 I meant like when he was rallying u know, he can't keep up with federers tactics and stuff.
@idontknow1919 he does
Perhaps AO 2007 vs. Roddick was just as good.
Federer istam
@UTuser76 Watch Fed vs Roddick at the Aus Open Semis on '07, it was outright demolition :)
@UTuser76 One of the most, but not the most. Watch the aussie open semi-final in 2007, Federer vs Roddick.
Tsonga Tsucks.

@NITHIMBBS It's scary because it's true. There is no one.

Do you think Djokovic would have defeated this Federer had he had beaten Tsonga?

This might sound a bit harsh...but I can't wait till Nadal's knees finally give out so we can see Federer playing like this again.
