i quit lucid dreaming for a good few months now. i have no idea why until now, youtube is still recommending me this but now i actually have the motivation to try and lucid dream. i remember the first lucid dream i had where i could actually control something. it wasn't all that interesting, i just controlled a door opening and closing and it probably lasted 20 seconds, but it felt amazing when i woke up. i want to experience that again
Not scary but ominous here's all of the important stuff On my first lucid dream I was standing in a place I named box town I got confused because i just went to sleep and then I was like DUDE and then I jumped around to a football arena for some reason (i don't like sports) there was a beautiful dock then I jumped into space Why am I telling you this because of sfm (swirly face man) he's not to creepy but je just stood in the shadows of box town he wears strange old brown pants and a black button up t-shirt he keeps appearing in my dreams (his clothes were torn like he/she (I don't know the gender yet) got mauled by a bear) The next 3 are short and boring I was flying around a campsite while sfm stood in the shadows I was flying around in some sort blocky island while sfm stood under a tree in the shadows This is where sfms true colors shine I'm running through a city and sfm is chasing me in a big machine and then crushed me with a giant metal ball and I woke up I think his weakness is light thanks for you story though
I think I can lucid dream now but it’s more like a reaction. When I see something scary I automatically fly away to another dream sequence or force myself to wake up
At about 5AM today, i was so close to having a lucid dream, i remembered all of this, and in the dream i was running from a lady, and a car almost hit me so i put out my hands and said stop, and the car stopped and i looked at my hands and said "Im dream-" but turned around and a little girl heard me say it, so she stared at me, then i got scared and teleported to a new dream, and in this dream, a chinese lady was forcing her kids to cook food, and she looked very scary so i woke myself up, but what scared me was when i was waking myself up, i heard small footsteps coming at me fast, this is the 3rd time i heard them while trying to wake myself up
Love the video! A couple days ago I had another lucid dream and it was the first time I had a decent amount of control, I made a beach appear behind a door, and I remember trying a few times and it not working at first, I tried to calm myself down and really tried to visualize it and tried to become confident that I could do it and I did!
This is cool! I realised that in my non lucid dreams I am sometimes able to do extremely unrealisting stuff like passing through matter etc. Also in my LD when I am on lower levels of awareness it is much easier for me to use advanced dream control. It all just seems to boil down to doing stuff naturally without thinking. The problem is you cannot really always do that haha. Butonce when I wanted to write sth on the wall to see if the text would changed I just wrote it with a pen that suddenly appeared in my hand on its own while I was closing into the wall. Only later did I realise that I had actually sponed it subconsciously xddd. That is probably how all the dream control should be done.
i’m getting into lucid dreaming again for the second time and i’m beginning to remember more dreams a night which i’m quite happy about, the funny part is, that last night i was trying to start my dream off with something and that was walking the streets of GTA5 and here i am watching a video the next morning of someone walking the streets in gta5!!
@@stephen_101 This was actually the second attempt at recording footage for the video. In the previous attempt, a car crashed right in front of me, the mugger random event triggered, and I managed to get run over all in one session. I thought it was a bit too chaotic and would distract from the story so I re-recorded. The getting run over part is why you now see me running to cross the road instead of walking 😂
just rediscovered your account after maybe 4 years or so? i don’t want to write a whole paragraph but just want you to know i’m elated you still post and am going to binge all your recent videos tomorrow after work
if you can do this then shouldn't it be helping you discover and find out things in your waking life? What practical uses in your waking life can you report on by having this skill?
I'm gonna become so well in tuned with dreams that I'll basically be the Watcher watching over the whole multiverse... And not only am I watching all of the multiverse I am controlling it.... Imagine the insane will power needed for that... Also does Will power play a factor in controlling your lucid dreams, because if so then this'll be easy... My will is INSANE
DEILD is my most used technique lately, along with daily meditation (although I don't do that specifically for lucid dreaming - it's just a nice side effect).
When I lucid dream I have to be pretty tired and I have to wind myself down I have to fall asleep fast and I know I’m gonna lucid dream when I start to see the static in the dark of my eyelids and I hear like distant white noise. This is where it’s make or break, in the static I’ll see the most terrifying faces and if I don’t focus in enough on where I’m going in my lucid dream I start to get sleep paralysis. Now I don’t usually have sleep paralysis tho so that’s good. Oh and when I verbally state to my dream MPCs that I am dreaming and I don’t again keep control and I don’t focus their faces melt away and I’ll wake up most of the time
Fun fact I used to experience this thing we’re I would be alseep. And I would know I was alseep but I wouldn’t know I was in a dream. Does that make sense?
Yes. I believe the brighter the light the greater the effect, so switching from your overhead lighting to a dim lamp is better than nothing - but you'll want to turn off that lamp when you go to sleep (or ideally 20-30 minutes before) if you don't want it to impact your sleep. If keeping a lamp on is sort of a comfort thing, and you don't feel comfortable sleeping without it, you can experiment to see if you still feel comfortable with the lamp on but wearing a sleep mask - that way you can still block out the light and get your full amount of melatonin.
Unrelated story but about 3 mins ago a had what I think was my first experience with sleep paralysis. I was laying in bed but it looked like something was dragging me out of bed. I knew it was sleep paralysis so I was calm but what really scared me was I felt two hands grabbing my lower legs and it felt so real
I usually do one of two things, either note them down on my phone, or actually message the dreams to a friend. I've found that doing the latter can sometimes be helpful with staying motivated enough to write your dreams down right away after waking up - since you're excited to share the dreams with someone. Of course, if you try this, make sure you pick friends that are actually interested in dreaming (and maybe partner up and get them to share theirs with you too).
Question for you! I THINK i've had my first lucid dream ever 2 days ago, I was walking along a pier and I chose to stop walking and turn around, that was it, it lasted 4 seconds maybe. I'm pretty sure I consciously made the choice. However, it did not feel like full control, it's hard to describe but how can I tell if that's the ''most'' control you can feel when your lucid?
Usually control just feels like being awake and being able to move around normally. Other aspects of dream control like being able to spawn objects etc aren't usually something you "feel" as much as they're something you learn to do. If you knew you were dreaming though, then yes you were lucid, regardless of how much control you did or didn't have. Congrats! :)
@@Tipharot Okay awesome! Will it get better overtime? Do I just have to keep going with the dream journal/techniques? My end goal is to have a really long fully controlled dream.

That is probably how all the dream control should be done.
I think you should learn how to stay a bit apathetic and try to suppress or hide excitement. It’s easier said than done, but it probably works.

this is like testing how good your pc is by summoning a lot of things in a game or turning the graphics settings to max lol
"What's he doing?"
"He's beginning to believe."
I drop to the ground and observe a blade of grass to lock me in every time i go lucid. Even if im inside, grass will from and i will observe it.
So a frequent place in my mind when I lucid dream is this infinite mall kinda place, but it’s so obscure that my mind is like wth.
Gta v background footage is always nice

hi i have a question so does a lamp lower your melatonin?
Yes.
