+Timothy Eatman i think because it's easier to classify them as whale or shark for crowd control while at the time being, they are doing further research to determine what are they.
+Timothy Eatman Haha :D Actually they came with the conclusion that this is a whale placenta, which is indeed a big blob thing. Don't eat while you google it. I once saw a rotten whale and it was far from what I expected : flesh falling apart, giving a snake like shape to a part of its body, ridiculously big bulges caused by rotting gases...sea creatures are pretty fucked up beyond all recognition once they're dead on the water.
It's possible that maybe a prehistoric creature died and was preserved by ice in Antarctica. Now with the ice sheets melting, the carcass is released into the sea and it's rotting corpse turns up on a beach somewhere. Just an alternative theory.
I'm no expert but i would guess some of these strange creatures are coming from the polar ice caps as they melt... frozen carcasses straight from the last ice age. It would also explain why a lot of them seem to have black carbon on them...
I did think of that after i posted my comment, but wouldn't the freezing process interfere with the results? I'm not sure how that works. But also most of these creatures were found/photographed before we had that technology.
S am Exactly why his videos are better. More in-depth research that explains things with much better detail making you believe that what is being said.
Agreed. Seems very unlikely that "decomposing whales" would come in so many different shapes, sizes, and even colors. I feel these biologists just don't want to freak the public out with the truth.
I live in Tasmania, one of the places mentioned for having a whale carcass blob monster thing. It's actually highly probable that one was a whale carcass. They wash up here all the time and their blubber doesn't rot as fast as you'd think, half the time they get buried under sand dunes because they start to smell pretty quickly.
The reason I suspect that ET's can freak humans greatly is due to the possibility that they have just about all species that lived on earth from long ago.
*Are there still unknown species of giant sea creatures hiding in the depths that remain to be discovered? What are your thoughts folks? Don't forget to leave a like and comment if you enjoyed this video!*
Umm... Awesome video as always, hybrid librarian! I gotta know though, why all the dislikes? This was as brilliant as all the previous videos in my opinion.
I'm about 95% sure the second creature is simply a frogfish. I have seen videos and images them in books (because I think they're amazing and they're one of my favorite animals). The one that washed up onto the shore looks huge though. I didn't realize they got that big. But, I think that's what it is.
I'm not a biologist but I can tell only one of these may be some kind of whale. I'm sure that's just what these biologists say in an effort to not freak the public out.
Trunko most likely was an over sized Elephant Seal. They fit the description of Trunko : have a trunk, thrive in South Africa, have a lobster like tale, and are aggressive.
That giant zombie alligator at the end is Grimmgarl, a Kaiju belonging to Colossal Kaiju Combat. I was actually caught quite off guard seeing that in this video
+Yuuichi Productions Nope, not since the early 1900's when they decided for some reason to start disregarding all sea monster sightings, much like how the Air Force used to take UFO sightings seriously *they even shot at one over Las Angeles* but eventually decided to ignore them and shame the people claiming to see them.
"Battle of Los Angeles" Military fire over 10,000 rounds including anti-air and flak rounds at mysterious figure in night sky of Los Angeles. It eventually leaves unscathed, the official report the next day, "It was a weather balloon" You're seriously telling me the greatest military in the world fired 10,000 rounds at a weather balloon and failed to take it down? Yea, ok.
"Hey, Cap'n. We just caught this gigantic monster-like creature. What should we do with it?" "Eh.. Just dump it back into the ocean. I'm sure it's just nothing."
i am not a scientist but when i see things like these i only think of the ice age since the poles are melting we will see more and more of these creatures that we've never seen or heard about before.
Your videos always intrigue me. They have really interesting facts. :o Thank you for creating your videos and I look forward to all of the. :D I already know my favorite one and will comment on it.
Oh my god!! I'm Tasmanian!!! I can't believe Tasmania rocked up in a Hybrid Librarian video!!! :D You even got our local newspaper The Mercury right!!! Well... "newspaper". Everyone here goes on about the Thylacine so much that I've never even heard of the Globster. Thank you for the enlightenment ^_^
Some of these carcasses are admittedly too badly decomposed to determine with any confidence what they might be, but I'm skeptical that some of the others baffled marine biologists. The Conraky carcass is obviously a badly decomposed baleen whale, and the Zuiyu Maru carcass was determined through collagen analysis to be a shark.
one of the most interesting creatures is the Tecolutla monster in Veracruz Mexico, and in fact the theory is that it was a prehistoric long tail whale. you should do an investigation about that monster
It wouldn't surprise me if some of these creatures were frozen carcasses or preserved whole animals who melted out and either rotted along the way or were picked clean by scavengers before beaching on the shore. But since we know nearly nothing about the ocean, it's best to ponder if it's something from deep below
"Sea Monster" isn't anything other than a) a previously unknown life form or b) a life form believed to have been long since extinct. What exactly is the problem here? Great List Kev,keep them coming!! I don't understand why people are angry that scientists say those are whales. I mean...what do you expect them to say? I mean those are either whales/ variations of whales, giant sharks or yet unidentified species. But at the end they're just animals. What do you want the scientists to say? "We found aliens in the sea"????
Mate not to be a party pooper but number 4 Zuiyo-maru carcass was a basking shark. When they die they can bend over, which make them look like a plesiosaur-like shape. I read somewhere that they actually did take a Tissue Sample of this creature, and confirmed it was a basking shark.
this video made me think that maybe the big creatures of the sea are dying off because the waters are steadily decreasing and they literally have nowhere else left to go but to die on land.
the second animal shown in number 10 is an extremely common monkfish. I seriously doubt scientists couldn't figure that out on their own seeing how it is a well-documented creature that was discovered a long time ago.
All I could think was, "That's clearly an octopus. It looks like an octopus and it has eight tentacles like an octopus. Why in the hell are you calling it a whale?!"

one does not simply miss a hybrid librarian video
The music makes me feel like i'm in a 90s video game start menu.
ITS A BIG BLOB THING!!!!
Scientists: *"Its a Whale..."*
ITS A BIG POINTY THING!!!!
Scientists: *"Its a Shark..."*
aight then....
LOL!
+sir zophiel Someone sounds like their job is on the line.
+Timothy Eatman i think because it's easier to classify them as whale or shark for crowd control while at the time being, they are doing further research to determine what are they.

It's possible that maybe a prehistoric creature died and was preserved by ice in Antarctica. Now with the ice sheets melting, the carcass is released into the sea and it's rotting corpse turns up on a beach somewhere. Just an alternative theory.
The key word here is "mysteriously vanishing"
+Michael A wait.... what? it's two words add "s" after word. grammar nazi
+GeeKeD-OuT Government Conspiracy.
+GeeKeD-OuT could be the work of CIA
I'm no expert but i would guess some of these strange creatures are coming from the polar ice caps as they melt... frozen carcasses straight from the last ice age. It would also explain why a lot of them seem to have black carbon on them...
+nicklong27 Interesting thought
Screen shotted comment. I don't think anyone has taken this possibility into consideration. Would explain most of these occurrences.
Wouldn't they try carbon dating the bodies though? If they did, they would probably quickly realise their age.
I did think of that after i posted my comment, but wouldn't the freezing process interfere with the results? I'm not sure how that works. But also most of these creatures were found/photographed before we had that technology.
Holy shit, nobody really thought about that
i squeal like a little school girl when a new Hybrid Librarian video is released i swear omg
+Leviantex Explains me well enough.
+kwadwo baidoo yup, same. I think his video's are more professional than some channels with far more subs.
S am Exactly why his videos are better. More in-depth research that explains things with much better detail making you believe that what is being said.
Carlo Derwig hybrid libarian doesnt speak english as a first language and he/she might be worried that his/her accent may be off putting? idk
kwadwo baidoo Or it's an aid to remain anonymous.
90% of the world's oceans undiscovered, sea monster carcasses are found and science be like: it's a whale. Everything is a whale.
even I am a whale
+HaraPlaysYT Bestiality is not ok.
ha!
Goofey
Are these creatures undiscovered...Or set loose?
*It sometimes sounds like the "decomposing whale" is the equivalent response in marine biology to the usual "weather balloon" answer to UFOs...*
lol true
Agreed. Seems very unlikely that "decomposing whales" would come in so many different shapes, sizes, and even colors. I feel these biologists just don't want to freak the public out with the truth.
+Hybrid Librarian It's always either a decomposing whale, or a decomposing whale uterus.
The more I was seeing whale carcass as an explanation the more I was thinking that
I live in Tasmania, one of the places mentioned for having a whale carcass blob monster thing.
It's actually highly probable that one was a whale carcass.
They wash up here all the time and their blubber doesn't rot as fast as you'd think, half the time they get buried under sand dunes because they start to smell pretty quickly.
I think what we have learned from this is that whales rot in some very interesting ways.
They're pokemon! Throw a Pokeball you fools!
but they are dead 😑
Keiji Tan Use a revive! Bring them to the Pokecenter! Do something!
+Sniel E. but3..the Pokemon GO not release yet.
Lol
+Keiji Tan Pokemon don't die they only faint duh.
Fuck... I'm in the dark depths of youtube again

( no it's not relly important ^^ but if you can .... )
¿A que hora?
¿A que hora?
Gracias amiga
it's amazing that there are still unknown creatures in the ocean to this day..
Well yeah, all these creatures aren't farfetched when you think about %90+ of the ocean being unexplored.
Aliens have the capacity to freak humans through dumping strange creatures on earth now and then.
Lol
lmao I believe that!
and u one of them
lol
The reason I suspect that ET's can freak humans greatly is due to the possibility that they have just about all species that lived on earth from long ago.
*Are there still unknown species of giant sea creatures hiding in the depths that remain to be discovered? What are your thoughts folks? Don't forget to leave a like and comment if you enjoyed this video!*
Such an amazing video again, I'm a big fan! I also make facts videos too and I have to say what you're doing is just amazing!
Im your 34th liked video
+Top 10s oh hi I subbed you
+Hybrid Librarian Mermaids...
+Factual 5-ive Thanks!
"Sir, we found a possible new species or something that could bring great insights to evolution"
"Throw it overboard? Sure thing!"
llanto209 to be fair, it probably wouldn’t bring great insight, the scientists would say it was a whale and then lose it
Trunko got rekt by 2 killer whales.
Trunko - 0
Killer Whale Gank Squad - 1
Umm... Awesome video as always, hybrid librarian! I gotta know though, why all the dislikes? This was as brilliant as all the previous videos in my opinion.
Not a single animal was really strange, just a bunch of decomposing whales and a monkfish.
@@Shaggy2286 And a bunch of decomposing sharks/basking sharks
Just a suggestion: it would be helpful to mention your sources for these facts.
+Orssidia Coming up.
***** Awesome :)
So they all "mysteriously vanish" yet they are usually huge. Something isn't right here.
Amazing how some of these things simply "vanish", right?
Gotta love them vanishing whales am I right?
+379Felipe Well yeah, it is quite trendy now. Corpses vanishing. I might try that when I die too.
Jason Gog I love your comment :P
my exact thoughts
Taken to labs for examining, obviously.
I live near Canvey Island, and I can tell you that the inhabitants are MUCH more strange than what has washed up on its shores!
Please keep doing exoplanets, Kevin you are the best!
+Shaan Kamal (Shaanyboo) Thanks! I've already done a few episodes on exoplanets but they won't be the last...
+Hybrid Librarian or Exo-suits from AW if you want to do something with EXO in it haha frickin French bread eater hybrid librarian!
+Stick Figure 3.0 :D Fr enfin
I'm about 95% sure the second creature is simply a frogfish. I have seen videos and images them in books (because I think they're amazing and they're one of my favorite animals). The one that washed up onto the shore looks huge though. I didn't realize they got that big. But, I think that's what it is.
First pic is a monkfish, the second a frogfish
so according to biologists, the majority of these carcasses are 'whales'....
I'm not a biologist but I can tell only one of these may be some kind of whale. I'm sure that's just what these biologists say in an effort to not freak the public out.
+Brian Harris agreed...kinda similar to ufo sightings!
+Brian Harris Either that or decomposition makes things look strange enough that DNA samples are required to actually identify the animal...
They are not UFOs! They are obviously some complete opaque black gass that is shaped in a perfectly round pattern!!!
+Athropod 101 Perfectly natural.
Hybrid Librarian where have you been mate? Love the mysterious and scary videos... Keep em coming!
Catches a possible Plesiosaur, throws it back in the ocean. -_-
Yeah that's not fuc-You know what? Fuck the Sarcasm..That dumbass could've made a history and profit!
It's not a plesiosaur.
It's a Basking Shark just rotten
Hybrid Librarian deserves an Oscar for his amazing use of music and another for his great script.
I think I saw my ex in there...
lol
What a coincidence. Me too! Always wondered what happened to him. Now I know. Mystery solved on all counts. LOL.
One time I found a Cheeto bag on the beach. My brother (who happens to be a scientist) said "Look it's a decomposing whale!".
The Wanderer
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Wanderer не сы квакуха болото наше Россия рулит.
lol
People: hey we found this thing on the be
Scientists: whALE
I find your channel entertaining, exiting , pls do more videos per month , a big fan since 200k sub ! Keep it up kevin
Mihran Zakaryan Because the internet is a fee world and I had nothing better to do.
scientists really do be like: W H A L E🗿
Another great video by the first channel I ever subscribed to!
Trunko most likely was an over sized Elephant Seal. They fit the description of Trunko : have a trunk, thrive in South Africa, have a lobster like tale, and are aggressive.
roseycado
Charlie The Velcioraptor maybe it's a variation of elephant seal with white fur...after all we know more about space than we do about the ocean
I am always fascinated by your videos. Keep them coming. :-)
Number one looks like a bloated, decomposing Salt Water Croc. And Thank you for not including the Montauk Monster on this list! (it's been identified)
It's been identified? As what?
really? where can I find it?
+Disappointed Turtle A hairless sloth.
+Mario Martinez Well, that's...disappointing.
Disappointed Turtle yeah, I thought the same too. And if you study the body, it does make sense.
That giant zombie alligator at the end is Grimmgarl, a Kaiju belonging to Colossal Kaiju Combat. I was actually caught quite off guard seeing that in this video
#3 - WHAT FUCKING WHALE HAS TENTACLES?!?!? OCTO-WHALE?!?
ha ha ha no joke I you tube so watch my videos this my dad tablet check mine out on bepper aj
DNA doesn't lie and long strings of blubber could easily look and feel like tentacles.
First video I've watched in ages of yours glad you've got some better content
Is everything giant, dead and emerged from the sea now an unidentified whale? Have scientists actually thought seriously about these sightings?
+Yuuichi Productions Nope, not since the early 1900's when they decided for some reason to start disregarding all sea monster sightings, much like how the Air Force used to take UFO sightings seriously *they even shot at one over Las Angeles* but eventually decided to ignore them and shame the people claiming to see them.
"Battle of Los Angeles" Military fire over 10,000 rounds including anti-air and flak rounds at mysterious figure in night sky of Los Angeles. It eventually leaves unscathed, the official report the next day, "It was a weather balloon"
You're seriously telling me the greatest military in the world fired 10,000 rounds at a weather balloon and failed to take it down? Yea, ok.
Compare the pictures yourself, it's called an image search. Use it to look at whale skeletons and anatomy.
"Hey, Cap'n. We just caught this gigantic monster-like creature. What should we do with it?"
"Eh.. Just dump it back into the ocean. I'm sure it's just nothing."
I remember going to the beach and saw a glow in the dark crab with my cousin, mom and, tia we took a pic it was AWSOME
+Jade Gsrza are you sure it was not a decomposing whale?
+mike nathan 😭😭😭
mike nathan 😂😂😂😂 lmfao
I liked (thumps up) the video before watching it cuz its HYBRID LIBRARIAN !!!
i am not a scientist but when i see things like these i only think of the ice age since the poles are melting we will see more and more of these creatures that we've never seen or heard about before.
Charly Borg I love how you stole this from the other guy lol
you always have such amazing musics playing with these.
I take it the photo at 0:56 is one of the mysterious creatures? That looks pretty much like a monkfish to me, so not so mysterious.
+Debbs Custom Engravings It is a monkfish :)
This video should be renamed "the Top 10 most mysterious Whale Carcasses ever found"
Massive dinosaur like monster that can breath radiation.
Scientists say it's a whale.
+I AM AUSTRALIAN AND I HATE VEGEMITE moron.
I AM AUSTRALIAN AND I HATE VEGEMITE ha ha you nerd

6 is a fucking whale lying on his back >:/ ,really not a Turtle
Ganef Saber
6:22 That's how my steaks look like when i don't pay attention haha
Nice video, i always like Sea creatures and space videos. :)
So everything is a whale. Okay.
Is it big? Is it dead? Did you find it in the ocean? It's a whale, evidently.
Why is the music in your videos always so good???
There is no need for these carcasses to remain unidentified. Do a DNA analysis. Even if it is a novel creature, you can tell what it is related to.
I LOVE YOU!!!
SEA MONSTER #1
Automatically thought of SCP-682
most, if not all, of them turned out to dead whales!!!
one of the most interesting creatures is the Tecolutla monster in Veracruz Mexico, and in fact the theory is that it was a prehistoric long tail whale. you should do an investigation about that monster
It wouldn't surprise me if some of these creatures were frozen carcasses or preserved whole animals who melted out and either rotted along the way or were picked clean by scavengers before beaching on the shore. wtf, dolphins with fur? what's next, conservatives with compassion?
Funny, I thought it was the liberals who approve of murdering unborn children when there is no risk to the mother.
... and liberals with brains? Who knew?
"Sea Monster" isn't anything other than a) a previously unknown life form or b) a life form believed to have been long since extinct. What exactly is the problem here? Unless you want to dismiss the idea entirely that something exists in our oceans that we haven't yet found and that is either arrogance or ignorance at its finest.
that last one was an octopus. check the frills along its tentacle apendages and compare them to known octopus species.
Nice reference to Renekton in LoL with the last picture :D
The bodies seem to vanish really quickly considering how big they are,
Thanks for posting.
Love your channel.
Thanks for creating this.
A verbal narrative would be nicer for me tho.
6:26 Thats my Pan Cake xD
😂😂😂
So remember, kids! Next time you spot a big new sea creature on the beach, ask yourself: "Is this just a huge mass of rotting flesh??"
I wouldn't want to be lost at sea with these lurking in the ocean... Give me shivers.
Awesome music choice by the way.
Non-scientist people: Oh it might be a new species!!!!
Scientists: ITS A WHALE THERE ALL WHAAAAAAALLEEEEEEEES -_-
J'aime bien la music dans vos video et comme d'habitude les videos sont extraordinaire 👍
Great List Kev,keep them coming!!

Star Wars lol
LOL that picture at 13:19 is concept art for Colossal Kaiju Combat
Great Video!
the second animal shown in number 10 is an extremely common monkfish.
The "fury sea monster" looks like a mammoth
Nice vid! I'm planning a globster video myself. ;)
I noticed you used some artwork of the zombie crocodile kaiju from Colossal Kaiju Combat. :P
So fascinating!! My dream is to become a marine biologist and study cool sea creatures!
You should do another one like this but on general animals
Is it ironic that while watching this, I feel like I'm playing a role playing game?
I was sitting here thinking "Why are all the entries dead?" Then I looked at the title.
Person: Sir! A weird looking creature has washed up on shore!
Scientist: Its a whale.
Person: Uhh... I don't think whales have tusks-
Scientist: Whales.
Person: But it has an enormous tail and three pairs of-!
Scientist: WHALES.
Every time a decomposing whale carcass washes ashore, humans lose their minds.
a couple of those i think were oarfish that are deep sea fish..theyve been found on shores recently..btw great videos!
Music was awesome! Video very interesting..
This is even more work.
me: I doubt there's really that many mysterious giant creatures in the ocean
scientist: good news sir we've recently invented a highly advanced submarine that allows us to travel to the very bottom of the sea with ease and you've been selected randomly to come join us free of charge what do you say?
