just bought the 5212A as someone who doesn't typically wear dress watches and I love the piece, especially in steel, as a casual daily driver. Thanks for all the great content as always John!
Another awesome video by John!! Love to see the 5100 under the spotlight. Such a masterpiece that turns any Nautilus into a joke. Open your eyes, people!
I never believed there existed a possibility of being a "custodian" og any Patek Philippe watch but took the dive on a pocket watch and just now made the last payment. That is cause for celebration. Now, my son will bear the responsibility of taking the reins when he proves he is worthy of this inheritance. Probably need to wait until he has his own children to pass along this family tradition. The next item should be the factory certificate to make it all the more special. Thank you for being there to share the creation of our new family tradition.
Nice video John! Thank you for showcasing these stunning models. That 5235G has really been speaking to me recently. I love the regulator dial and that gorgeous 240 caliber!!
Thank you for your kind comment. The ref. 5235G is certainly a unique piece for Patek and one of the most interesting both aesthetically and mechanically.
Love this selection of watches. I have the 5235R and it is a wonderful timepiece - so much history and innovation behind it. Also, love the weekly calendar and would love to add that to my collection at some point.
Wow, amazing selection there. Personally I love the 3940, it is historical and significant important piece for Patek Philippe. One of the best perpeptual wrist watch!
The 3940 is excellent. I wore one for about 10 years as a daily watch. My tastes changed and I got into older pieces made before CAD-CAM and all the new technology. I have also come to prefer a watch that has to be manually wound.
I think the 5146 is my favorite. Just a perfectly balanced dial, pretty dressy but also casual enough, only thing is I'd find a WG pin buckle for it and keep that clasp in the box.
To own any Patek, is a fortune! Fragile and delicate timepiece’s, that cost a fortune to repair and service! Seiko is a 100 times, especially the Grand Seiko!
Grand Seiko is one of my favorite brands. Just a different brand altogether. We encourage always buying what you love. We are all things "Patek Philippe" - it is what we love over here! Thanks for commenting!
Part of the reason why people buy a Patek is because of its value. Patek Philippe ensure that the collectors values and interests are protected by discontinuing models as well as not coming up with “limited edition” every other month like what Grand Seiko is doing now. Right now we can get ANY grand seiko off the market at 40% cheaper than retail. Like it or not, this is a big reason why collectors are shunning away from buying GS in retail. Can’t say the same for Patek.
I think John’s Patek Philippe Ellipse watch got cut?!? Surely it would have been… “Predictions on the next big thing, no one really knows, especially the experts.”
I bought this popular video watch from nkuwan , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
In Toronto canada I buy a super super clone I bring it to a rolex expert he say it was real rolex . Unbelievable. Your super clone look just like mine. You a expert but a regular person like me will never know. Imagine on nkuwan
Great content!!

Great selection of a bunch of my favourites. I have to say that the finest designs go to the annual calendars for me.

A Magnificent pieces ever made.Absolutely stunning.
Thank you for your kind comment. We're so glad you enjoyed the video.
Very nice collection. I like how the craze is almost over, and most of the watch introduced here can be bought under retail right now. Shopping time!
Great video John. Thank you!
Always great presentation and selection! Enjoying my 5227, 5053 and 2573. On the waitlist for the 5212 or 5226. Keep up the good work!

great video John, love that 5205G and 5212-A!
Enjoyed the fun way that you "framed" the different watches.
Thank you! Any excuse to eat a fortune cookie!
All of them beautiful pieces...
Love that snap when you close the caseback. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your comment. The snap is pure Patek!

The 5235 watch is great! My wife often calls it my “obsession”.
Well done John, another great selection of outstanding timepieces
Thank you for your kind comment -- glad you like the watches!

Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, the ref. 3940 is an iconic watch!
Love the videos!
The 3940 is just perfectly balanced and 5140 such a well grown offspring

Couldn't agree more!
Thank you very much

I understand what you are saying. I prefer the pin buckle also. As interesting as the clasps are, the pin buckle is so classic (and comfortable).
I have the platinum version. The case although not thick is pretty beefy. A pin buckle may leave the watch head heavy and not balanced.
Hi John 🧢
Another great video
Thank you for your kind comment.
I'm here for the watches and hats!
5140 looks so good. Do you think it's still a good price point and time to go for a 5140R?
Yes - I expect 5140s are at historic lows but your guess is as good as mine! Such a beautiful reference...

Life lesson having one is hard so try to buy two
I think John’s Patek Philippe Ellipse watch got cut?!? Surely it would have been… “Predictions on the next big thing, no one really knows, especially the experts.”
I swear the happiness I feel when #nkuwan uploads a video is beyond!!!!
Here's a life lesson: if you are a legit business, you return phone calls.
Doesn't he??😂😂😂
The strap of the 6172 was blue. You changed it?
we also have the original!
John - thoughts on 5935A vs 5930P? Thanks
That's a tough one - you can't go wrong with either one. Personally I would pick the 5935A just for the dial aesthetic. What's your pick?
@@johnreardon3158 5935A in 39.5mm (5930 size) would have been perfect. 41mm is a bit too large.
@@johnreardon3158 5935A in a 39.5mm case would be perfect.
The 5038G is the ultimate one
I bought this popular video watch from nkuwan , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
As I remember, the Regulator 5235 has a very unusual beat rate of 23,000?
Exactly - it's truly technically unusual in addition to aesthetically usual.
I might comment if you explain what all that fancy gubbins is, behind you. ;).
