  • after so many setbacks, the wedding of Greek princess Theodora is finally upon us.
Princess Theodora of Greece and her fiancé, Matthew Kumar, are finally set to wed after facing multiple setbacks. The couple, who got engaged in 2018, have had to reschedule their wedding three times due to various reasons. However, they remain optimistic and are now planning to tie the knot in Athens this fall. Princess Theodora has reportedly chosen designer Celia Krytharioti for her wedding dress, and the guest list is said to include her family, as well as representatives from the royal houses of Spain and Denmark. While there has been no official confirmation from Princess Theodora, if the reports are true, this wedding will mark their fourth attempt to exchange vows. The couple had previously struggled to find a suitable date in 2019 and had to postpone their wedding in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Theodora's last Instagram post was a year ago, adding to the anticipation around the upcoming nuptials.royal family, king constantine, greek royal family, king constantine of greece, queen anne marie, king constantine ii of greece, prince pavlos of greece, crown prince pavlos of greece, princess theodora of greece, queen anne marie of greece, princess theodora of greece and denmark, princess theodora, queen anne-marie of greece, prince pavlos, theodora, constantine ii,queen greece, king constantine ii,king constantine of greece funeral, king greece, royals, the royal family

Princess Theodora of Greece! It's funny that Greece hasn't had a monarchy since 1973, so this lady is from an extinct monarchy! More Theodora was born in England 😂

It's not just ha-ha and me-me who covet 'royal titles....!" Being, and staying unique, or 'superior" is becoming harder and harder these days with SO many clamouring for any royal title, fabricated or not. In fact, like resumés, people are doing "anything" to draw attention to themselves - except, of course, those who get attention ( sometimes what they'd rather not get) because of their contributions to making the world a better place.................

I didn't understand your point of view! But this Lady is a member of an extinct monarchy!

@@jamielyallleathan Since the 'monarchy' is extinct, using a title is actually fraudulent. If being able to use a title, even though there's no monarchy behind it, WE could ALL title ourselves. So what would be the meaning of being a "prince or princess" of a non-existent monarchy. You'd be a "nobody" except another person. History means something existed in the past but now it no longer exists. Now is now. People who've married or are part of a "finished" monarchy need to be called Mr. or Mrs. or whatever other regular, non-royal people are called.

Sorry - but these so called Greek "Royals" have absolutely NO Greek blood in them at all!! They are essentially Europeans, who exploited Greece's struggle of freedom from the Ottoman Empire - back in 1821. Recall: Greek culture and language formed the largest part of the great Byzantine Empire - from Emperor Constantine's time around 330 AD until the last Emperor of the Byzantine empire - Emperor Constantine Palaiologos in 1453. The Byzantine empire lasted around 1000 years. Then, after the continuous/relentless attacks of the Ottomans from the East, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, Constantinople, fell in the hands of the Ottomans on the 29th of May 1453. The rest of the Byzantine Empire started then falling under the Ottomans, region by region - until the whole of the Byzantine Empire was under the Ottomans - including what is modern Greece today. For four hundred years the Byzantines/Greeks kept trying to fight back and become free - and finally their last struggle of Independence in 1821 bore fruit, managing to slowly shake the Ottoman Empire and have the Ottomans retreat. Bteween 1821 and 1829, when the Europeans realised that the enslaved Greek people would not give up their struggle of independence from the Ottomans, they decided to "allow" them to have their own new state - and hence the new Greek state was finally "allowed" to be formed in the 1820s. But in typical fashion, the Western powers would not allow the Greek people to Choose their Leader!! They wanted to have a "Say" as to WHO really Rules Greece - and hence, they brought a young man called Otto, from the Kingdom of Germany and enthroned him as the King of the newly-formed State of Greece. Otto did many bad things for Greece - nothing favouring the Greek people and the remnants of the Constitution they created at that time still causes problems to Greek people today.
Apologies for this short historical background - but it's just so that people know that these so called Kings, Queens, Princess etc of Greece are not really Greek people. They are Western people who were brought in to rule over the Greek people, following the Greek people's struggle for freedom. I have nothing against these Royals - they seem very nice - but it has to be explained that these people have absolutely NO Greek blood at all in them!! They are not Greeks. If at least One of them had married a Real Greek person, there would be some justification calling them Greek Royals. But with NO Greek blood in them i would call the German or Danish Royals.
