The Rt. Hon. Paul Martin needs a bit of duct tape! Yikes. Fun fact, I grew up in Baie d'Urfe, which is right next to St. Annes (as we called it). Those red clay roof structures @17:10 was where I went to high school and CEGEP (junior college). St. Annes has done a nice job recently making it the charming little village it once was in its glory days. Thanks for the blast from past.
Love that blues music and it was interesting how all the water rapids affect the travel around Montreal. Enjoyed the trains and the large water craft. Good times.
I grew up on Lake of Two Mountains at Saint-Eustache-sur-le-Lac (now called Deux-Montagnes ). We kept our 26' wooden boat on a mooring near our house. When we went through the two seaway locks, we had a laker for company. It was quite a time, but that was many years ago and they don'y do that anymore...for good reason. The trip through the lake and up the Ottawa river is very enjoyable. Thanks for letting me "experience" cruising in my my home area again.
Thanks for sharing your history of boating in this area Gary! It’s so interesting to hear/read all the French names of the various towns. I can’t imagine locking through with a laker😯. As we share our journey past St Anne, you’ll see the Ottawa River again. Thanks for watching😎
After the last video, I think I have to add Montreal to my bucket list. Beautiful city. I've commented on your videography, but your choice of music to accompany the videos is also excellent. You must be better versed than I am. Which would disappoint my late grandfather that watched Name That Tune in 70's and usually could answer on the clue or with the 1st note or 2. :) Going to keep watching your Life in Retirement videos, but hope you get the itch and buy back Stay Cool and do it again!
Hey John, thanks for your kind comments! This series was my first attempt at videography and my goal was not only to share the journey but to use music to convey the feeling of being on the water. I’m glad you enjoyed it and thanks so much for watching! We hope to one day soon acquire another boat out here on the west coast and explore these amazing waterways and stunning scenery. In the meantime, there’s so much to discover on beautiful Vancouver Island! 😎
Other than it being a little smoky, that seemed like a pretty casual cruise. Everything seemed laid back. Maybe it will be sunny and beautiful tomorrow.
Hey Scott, we were at that wall about 3 weeks before you. Due to the time involved producing these videos, in real-time we have always been ahead! Congratulations on completing your loop! What an incredible accomplishment! And *spoiler alert* we have already completed our loop too! And we also miss it. More episodes to come including where we are now… Thanks for watching 😎
We were cruising our trawler in the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River about the time you filmed this episode. That smoke was horrible. We woke up at anchor one morning and had less than 1/4 mile visibility due to the smoke. There was something about the pressure systems that made the smoke concentrate and sit over our area. It was nice to have radar that day!
Ya that smoke creeps in rather unexpectedly and before you know it visibility is low. Definitely good to have radar… or just stay put! Not to mention what it does to our lungs.😝 Thanks for watching😎
The music was the star of this show. Thanks.
Hi Brad, we like to use music to help convey the feeling of being on the water. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!😎
So cool to see the area that I live in, from the water view. I live near the Mercier bridge. Thanks for the videos
Always an interesting perspective from the water! Glad you enjoy the videos and thanks so much for watching Mike!😎

So cool for you to go down memory lane! Thanks for sharing your history Tom. 😊 St Anne’s was a nice little stop. Thanks for watching😎
I have seen that area by car but not by boat. Very interesting.
Always a different and unique perspective by water! Nice to see it from both viewpoints. Thanks for watching Patrick😎
Another informative video! Thank you for sharing your travels.
Glad you enjoyed it Daniel. Thanks for watching!😎

Glad you enjoyed it Buck! Another segment on the way to finish the loop. Thanks for watching!😎

It was the "Parisian" music in Old Montreal. Expected Cary Grant or Audrey Hepburn to suddenly walk by! @@staycool123

You’re right TMac, it was a good cruising day. Not much we can do about the smoke 🤷♀️ but we hope the wind changes direction. Thanks for watching😎
We tied to the same wall on June 26th. Our Loop is now completed but I wish we were still out there. Enjoy your time on the Loop as it moves fast!!
