After a year or two u get tired heat humidity , bugs , roaches 🪳 alligators eating your pets . Crazy high insurance etc . Try Delaware , visit old NY and NJ friends with ease , No Sales tax , low home costs and taxes . Many NE folks move to MIDDLETOWN OR BEACHES .
New York has 4-10.9% income tax, not 50%. I had a 4 bedroom 4000 sq ft home on the Chicago River and the property taxes were higher on my Pembroke Pines little 1100 sq ft 2 bedroom condo. They will get you coming or going but you will be gotten. Worse than any hurricane, Florida has DeSantis...all weirdly concerned where I'm putting my wiener and demanding entrance to my daughter's pelvic exam.
Thank you for responding. My number one reason for moving from New York to South Florida is the weather. I did not like the cold, snowy weather in New York. I prefer the warm weather year round. I don't own a jacket!
I hated my commute into Manhattan everyday for work! Especially when there was a train derailment & I did not get home until midnight! I then made the brilliant decision to move into Manhattan to avoid that miserable commute! Back in 1992 I was paying $825 a month for a tiny studio! After less than a year of living in Manhattan, I made the decision to finally relocate to South Florida! I have never looked back! Life here is so much more simple & relaxing! Superior lifestyle here in South Florida compared to New York!
@@LIVINGINSOUTHFLORIDA232 I certainly have zero input on the quality of life in New York but the video was citing Florida’s no income tax as financial reason to relocate. I was attempting to point out that this is outweighed by the crazy property taxes. I was also pointing out that I don’t like the governor either. 😂

The main reason why the cost of living has gone up is because so many people from New York, northeast, midwest and California have relocated to South Florida! The population of Florida has exceeded New York a number of years ago. Florida is not for everyone! That being said, so many people have c hosen to relcocate here. This resulted in the cost of living increasing. I still love it here! I will always say that there is a price to pay to live in a tropical paradise! The High Quality Of Life is the main reason for the population explosion!!!! Thank you Robin!!!

Why have there been so many people relocating to South Florida over the years? Why has the population of Florida exceeded New York?
@@GizmoGuy620 Thank you for commenting. Not necessarily! The further north you go in South Florida, the more affordable. The most northern part of South Florida, St. Lucie County can be more affordable than other areas of Florida. St. Lucie County includes Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce. This video features Stuart in Martin County. This community represents great value! The value & pricing is also comparable to other areas of Florida. The closer you get to a major metropolitan city, the more expensive.
@@mrright1068 I chose warm weather year round vs cold, snow & ice! I hated giving 1/2 of my income to the State Of New York! Did not like paying State Income Tax! Love not having to pay state income tax here in Florida! To wash is own! 😊

FL loves law and order, 2nd amendment, and freedom which includes speech and over our own money. It is the fear of all red states that as libs abandon their utopias they ruin their new states with their closed minded power hungry ideas.
