    Have always been a big fan. My three biggest faves are Samart, Sagat, and Somrak. Back in the late 80s, when MT was still in its infancy in the US, people questioned whether I was teaching authentic MT because I was incorporating boxing as part of MT. I assured them that it was since I had just emigrated from Southeast Asia, where my instructor was big on boxing. And yes, Samart, Sagat, and Somrak (who later won an Olympic gold medal for boxing representing Thailand in the 90s) were all boxers.

      I know it’s a shame. I guess it’s just not enough clickbait in the thumbnails or the right info for the algorithms… someone with know-how and a good heart should make traffic to his videos. Like make more clickbaity, as ”how to to learn the Muay thai legends front kick”, then hype up a bit, then present his videos and ask them to follow Samarts original channel. Or something like that. He needs more appreciation for the knowledge hes putting out there

    • @paulpelle3046
      @paulpelle3046 Год назад

      @@oneinchpunched3661 yes, I agree 100% mate 👌
      I think it’s probably because Samart is just such a quiet and humble legend, and doesn’t really crave all the subscribers and attention like some people on RUclips.
      His advice and information is absolutely amazing though, and pure gold-dust. 🇹🇭🙏

    I think when you turn the toes over and hit more with your heel at the end of the kick (side teep/ thai sidekick) you generate more power because you utilise your glutes more

    • @lYakuzal
      @lYakuzal 3 года назад +7

      Yes it does generate more power, but side teeps requires some load up and can be risky to throw out.
      Front teep is a great technique because of the balance and fast recovery. Teeping is like a jab, it's quick and non-telegraphed as it is a technique to keep your opponent at bay. You also will be able to return to your stance quickly since you're just moving your front leg straight forward and back, so you can throw it again or defend right after
