So Amy latched onto Pete's family, and doesn't want anyone taking any of the attention off her. Pete's family might be feeling that one new family member is enough for them to handle, but the fact remains that the decision was already made all those years ago when Pete met the mother of the new half sibling and she was conceived. She exists. She's part of Pete's family, whether these people want to recognize her, or not. Amy should realize that if the other half sibling found them first, she might be standing in her shoes.
@@dnangelsorg2544 Exactly!! My biological dad has been acting kinda funny towards me the last few months. But I'm thankful for DNANGELS for finding both my parents last year❤️
It’s definitely a wild twist that caught everyone off guard! Family secrets can be shocking, and it’s tough to process the emotions that come with them.
Not necessaily a player, he slept with 2 women, all parties involved didn't seem to make any effort at birth control though, and prob not widely available, sad though, children don't ask to be born. I don't understand why they wouldn't welcome any family member with open arms or at least some contact and conversation, the latest daughter deserves to know family medical history and other family stories and history at the very least.
My initial reaction is for the new half-sister's side. There might be extenuating circumstances that would change my mind, but with the information presented, it is a shame that she is blocked from learning more before she even asks. My father was adopted. I finally identified his birth parents long after he passed. His half sister flat out did not want to talk to me or have anything more to do with the subject. I'm sorry that she felt that way, and it hurt to hear that.
Moral turpitude is a legalistic term that covers a multitude of human failures. Unfortunately it's the only thing that came to my mind at the end of this story.
🤍didnt know I was illegally adopted, handed off, discovered at 18. Found my birthmom at 25, have relationship with her and 5 siblings. Legends of birthfather were not true, so the story in my head wasnt true. Had an ancestry match from a sister and now also have 2 addt bros. Have begun to get to know her. My family slow to get excited about another branch. Birth mom refuses to be forthcoming and says she doesnt know who the birthfather in pics is. Dna... so 2 more bros to reach out to. Father passed away. Met Fathers wife who was very kind and some nieces nephews. Its exhausting and sad sometimes. The deceit is hardest, I am the one walking through it. Feel bad for Amys half sis, but dad shouldve been the one to do this, actually.
Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like an incredible journey filled with many emotions. Navigating family dynamics can be tricky, but it’s amazing that you’ve connected with your birth mom and siblings. Wishing you strength as you continue to explore these relationships!
🤍I can’t believe that Amy would take sides! She was in the same position! I hope you are afraid of losing your connections with your bio dad and half sister. That’s still not a good reason for this. Meet her on the side like your bio sister did with you when your dad wouldn’t accept you. I hope you have a change of heart. 🎄
funny this came around the holidays...bought to mind one holiday long ago. The family were all sitting around the kitchen post-holidays and mom got a call from her half brother. He was kind of a character and blurts out to mom "hey we have another sister - here...talk to her". Mom was naturally shocked, she breaks out crying and runs out of the room...we kids were wondering what the is going on. Dad was always cool headed and calmly walked to the phone and says "okay...what the hell is going on?" After a few minutes dad gets the picture and thanks him for calling. Dad talked to mom and she got over it quickly. She ended up being pretty close to her new sister. btw grandma was a bit of a tart...4 kids by 20 and we never figured out who was the dad of the new "aunt" The new aunt was given to an aunt of my grandmother to raise so mom knew her in passing as a cousin of her mother.
I think Amy will change her mind because she was in the same position ones and knows how it feels not to know your real dad and not to be accepted by him the first time she contacted him. On the other hand, maybe the half sister doesn't understand the outcome yet ...
Hi Amy! Congratulations on finding your family! The emotional toll that these journeys take on everyone involved is not for the faint of heart. Take some time, get to know one another. You deserve it!
I could see Pete, being elderly, not wanting to reach out to someone who is not looking for him. The daughters, I don't know. Good ole Pete had some fun back in the day.
For the half sister and Amy should accept her. This reminds me of my husband's case to DNA test 68 years of waiting who the father was and get no response got to search angel
I talk fast too, many of your videos you talk so fast I must rewind😮. Watching on my TV, I don't know how to change the speed and I'm working while listening. Thank you for sharing amazing stories.😊❤
@dnangelsorg2544 I don't think it is you. When it is being uploaded it may be uploaded at 2 x speed. Maybe just check the settings on that? We don't mind a long-form video 😊
What kinda person closes the door behind her? She benefitted from making this connection why wouldn't she give the same gift to someone else? Did they find something out about her that was dangerous?
It could be disruptive to a person to let them know that someone who they thought is their father isn’t, y’all. They should stay open if the other sibling makes noise, but maybe they don’t want to cause a potential disruption for someone else. They don’t know her current circumstances.
I hope Pete has had second thoughts and gets to meet this new girl. I think it is so very sad when bio parents reject their offspring. The offspring did not ask to be born, it happened and she had no say in the matter. You mentioned Pete was in his 70s, which is not ancient, and he is probably a bit scared because he thought no one would ever find out what he had been up to - and now he has been caught red-handed. There is no judgement, what you did when you were younger has no bearing on you as a person now, so give some thought about meeting another daughter, especially as you have taken Amy to your heart.💔❤🩹❤
You've made some excellent points about the complexities of family dynamics. It's never easy, but hopefully, Pete will consider the opportunity to connect with his new daughter.
How dare Amy not want another person to have the same great and openly loving experience with their father in the same way that she was able to.. Not cool, not cool at all.
Agreed. I suspect that at least one of them knows that other daughter and crossed her off the list sometime ago. Amy sounds like she was well taken care of and is mentally healthy, while the other may be not so.
It’s Peter’s child thus his responsibility & choice who he chooses to interact with. I encourage him to meet his child asap, ignoring the influence of his other children. Asking them what they think is not the same thing as asking for their permission, which children do not have the freedom or authority to grant or deny anyway.
You make a great point! Ultimately, it's Peter's decision how to navigate these new relationships. It's important for him to consider what feels right for him and his family.
I must say I am jealous as I cant get anybody to answer any questions and my centimorgans are soooo low. I have followed the advice here and kept it all as neutral and non emotional as possible. It is very surprising how fearful and intimidated people are by DNA info! I find it to be so interesting, so fun and an adventure. People I have connected with so far seem edgy, secretive and avoidant;-( I guess this might take a few years!
It can be tough navigating those family connections! Remember, patience is key. Keep exploring and sharing your journey; you never know who might open up down the line!
Maybe Pete has money, and Amy is afraid the new half-sister will try to take advantage of her dad.... Naaaahhhh.... Amy's not a nice person, and she's being selfish. If the other sister reaches out, she's entitled to the same grace that Amy was shown.
Why do you badger information out of these people on the phone to get information for Amy, then tell Amy to remove her DNA from the database? I think Amy should leave her information in the public domain so she can also be badgered on the phone in the future.
Amy sounds like a hypocrite. Now that she has her dad now and she does not care he has another child looking for their identity as she was, it makes me dislike HER. I blame her more than her dad and half sister
🤍🤍🤍DNA surprises can be hard but my mother told me when expecting her second child, she wondered if she could love the 2nd one as much as the first. Well, there are 9 children in my family. My Mom said she learned LOVE multiplies it should never divide. Prayers they come around if this 2nd 1/2 sibling ever tries to find them.

It's definitely a surprising situation for everyone involved. Family dynamics can be quite complex, especially with unexpected revelations!
