I could not find the right words to express my gratitude towards God for using you all as a means to connect Amerasians with their long-lost families. Watching the video of Driftwood Beach in Barrio Barretto brought back a flood of memories, causing me to deeply miss home.
Im happy for Maning, my nephew from my first cousin Ate Rosita, his adopted mum. Praying for them to find their biological mother ❤.. His mum named him Emmanuel means God is with us❤
Leah and Blair I love watching your stories! I was adopted in Germany in 1978 and had my own issues finding my bio parents. I was raised in Australia and moved to the UK in 1996! I found my bio mum and half siblings in 2005 through international social services,, but my bio dad was much harder! He was Cypriot and not living in Germany anymore., and also his name was not tbe same in Germany as it was in Cyprus,, roll on to 2023 I did a 23 and me DNA test. Bio mums side had no matches at all! Non! Bio Dads side had close to 3000 distant relatives! I did a big search and contacted loads of these relatives and eventually was contacted by a second cousin who informed me my bio dad had passed away 4 years earlier. I was then put in touch with cousins and Aunties. They all embraced me straight away as I look exactly like one of my aunts!! It was insane! Never have I seen anyone with my weirdly unique facial features! I now feel whole!

When my grandfather was in World War II, we think he must’ve had an affair with a woman somewhere probably the Philippines because when he passed away in 1981, my grandmother found a picture of an Asian or South Pacific looking woman in his wallet. So there could be a chance that I have an aunt or an uncle out there somewhere that would be a half brother or sister to my father
@LeahandBlair I have taken 3 dna tests. I'm on ancestry dna, 23andme, my heritage and I can tell you that everything I have seen on there is so confusing
I was crying buckets for all of them. Glad for these couple and the genealogist for helping find these adult children their biological father/parent and finding their other siblings thanks to DNA 🧬 tests 😢❤
