Lets 'flip that' frown 'up'side down with these 2 reactions =D ps - I know, aespa ep2 has been recorded, plus another reaction to a debut, I'd tell ya about it but I'd have to Hit Ya ;) EDIT - I just noticed a slight hiccup with the edit, as I mentioned the website Korea Boo twice, cause I had to do a double-take due to me talking too fast and stumbling on my words, and for some reason I thought I edited that out, but turns out I didn't :(
Many people complain about Loona's versatility, because they can't find any Loona concept, and are kinda lost. I can understand, and every one have their own way to feel, vibe along a music and a group. For me being able to do this much of styles, concepts is amazing. They can have fun with making their own music, and even tho some people will not like a certain song or Come back, they will have the chance to like the next one. Or even a previous one. On the contrary I'll find sad to stick to the same concept, if I have the opportunity to witness an other one. Loona isn't just dreamy, like butterfly, star, flip that or their debut. They are not just fierce, strong like PTT, so what etc... They are all of that in a group. That IS loona. Even the members themselves reflect this diversity, they are many and all so different. You can stick to a certain concept, but still be versatile. Like dreamcatcher. Yet for me a concept isn't always necessary. I can enjoy a group or a song, even though there is no proper concept! Ofc it's only my view point, I totally get why people can be lost and prefer a concrete concept. It's totally fine! Btw songs like butterfly and stars are my favorites. You definitely should react to star ! And pale blue dot as well. Kepler Comeback is great! I love the chorus, it's catchy! I prefer the bsides ahah they are getting better, it's nice to see! Both groups did great!
Versatility is always good, there will always be people who are either fans of the group and will be open for whatever may come or fans of a specific Era/chapter of said group. I think that even if some don't like this "chapter" as much as others chapters, they can still appreciate LOONA for what they're doing, and how well they can, no pun intended, "flip that" :)
I think versatility it's even needed, about LOONA they have their own sound, I mean, I can totally say a song it's by LOONA even by not looking at them because it has something that is unique to them. Hard to explain but easier to experience ^^
I love how we always have questions after a LOONA music video ends. Definitely keeps theory crafting going even after months before a new content/comeback arrives.
Loved your reaction and analysis of both MVs!!! They truly are sister groups with summer bops :D Replying to your "I'm not sure how vocal they are about supporting things that are happening in the world" LOONA members actually have been always supporting LGBT since thats probably what you had in mind! They accepted and acknowledged a sapphic interpretation of the story in one of their MVs (specifically Heart Attack by Chuu which is a solo song) and there are a lot of videos of fancalls (and stories of irl fanmeetings) with them talking how everyone should be equal (etc) when asked about LGBT! Even one of the leaders (Yves) said that each member has views like this on these types of things, which isn't shocking since they all participated in the Butterfly era which was about acceptance and loving yourself no matter your gender, religion, race or sexuality!
If you noticed that during PTT the last scene was jinsoul with her blue skirt, blue color represents peace hence this could a continuation of the loonaverse since war is already over.
I'm really pleased with both of these comebacks. I agree we need to see more Bahiyyih!!! I hope you can check out Kep1er showcase performance of Le Voya9e bc its sooooo good!! Kep1er also has studio choom coming for up! Loona look ethereal in those white dresses I'm in love. The song gets better to me with each listen!!! I also really love their album. Pale Blue Dot is probably my favorite after Pose.
Since you knew most of Queendom 2 group, I hope you will react to Viviz 1st ever comeback this July. Viviz new song will be release on 6th July 2022 at 6pm kst
also, to add on to you talking about Dayeon and Yujin during queendom, Chaehyun was hospitalised due to stress but still performed in the finals, even if she felt like passing out, these girls are so hard working.
@@fatihabiyyu6954 her schedule during queendom was brutal if you think about it, preparing for queendom stages, preparing for a comeback and doing an MC job on a music show, so its no wonder she was stressed
yes DG i think you assume than PTT was they're usual kind of songs and concept so you maybe think than they have a dark concep but no . they flip constantly they're concept that why people are a little bit lost with them . in that MV they got the kind of concept than many beloved groups as groups like A-PINK , GFRIEND , OH MY GIRL or TWICE i think that kind of concept fit large groups like THEM or before group like I.O.I , IZ*ONE or why not KEP1ER . please LOONA keep that kind of bubly and positif concept . we got to much girl crush concept these day's not that much DREAM concept .
I want to write something coherent but I can't. My brain has been blasted with way too much good music today. I'll try though: Up is such a huge improvement over Wadada and Flip That is an awesome return to the brighter sounds they started out with. Though it would have been awesome if the song had an actual "flip" in its sound just like one of the predebut solos. I'm not gonna spoil which one it is, I want to see your genuine surprise whenever you get to it. Orbits will know what I'm talking about ;) It's always so funny how much it catches people off guard :D Btw, Yves is pronounced like "Eve" and you can pronounce Choerry like "cherry" and it'll be close enough. I can't wait to watch hour long videos about the lore in this MV and understand absolutely none of it :D But from the first theory I read, you seem to be spot on with the trip down memory lane.
Oh im so happy to see your reaction. Kind of figured you might be a little surprised at the lighter summer vibe of this comeback from Loona . It’s definitely been a while since they’ve done anything close to this and I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned but it was actually very much a strategic move. By K-pop standards they’re very successful internationally. This concept has a strong appeal in Korea (where they’ve always struggled) so you could say that this was made with Koreans in mind. It’s very smart coming off the heels of queendom. Personally I love the chorus. It’s so addicting and I’m glad there was that bit of an electro pop undertone. Also always amusing to see your reaction to seeing Kim Lip and Heejin. I think you will especially love Kim Lip’s solo as well as Jinsoul’s too. I have a feeling she’ll also catch your attention at some point. Really hoping you get drawn in enough to want to learn more about their personalities the way you’re doing with Dreamcatcher (even if it’s just in your own time). They’re so fun to watch and definitely a quirky group. For example, I would challenge anyone to name any other idol that can bark better than my girl Hyunjin. There’s entire compilations dedicated to those barks. These girls are muli-talented like that! Last thing, as I know you like a little more of the darker concepts, check out 'Not Friends'. It's so underrated but one I think you'll like. It's not a full group song but a side project with only 4 members but 3 of the 4 are the ones you've noticed the most so the plus side is there's a lot of Heejin and Kim Lip for you. To pique your interest I'll give you the basics: They have guns, they kill people, they're not the good guys, Kim Lip on a motorcycle, and a fight between her and Yves. They ain't playing cute in this one.
for LOONA i love this song that the type of song and concept they have to keep. like BUTTERFLY and STAR bubbly and dreamy concept with electronic genre but not the kind of boring eletro music like in so what but the dream or house genre fit them more . i think many people like me struggle to be interested by them for 2 reason. they're to many with to many opposite personality and genre .and 2 they didn't have a clear concept . they're to versatile and we don't know what is they're genre . for exemple DREAMCATCHER is also very versatile and it's a good point but they're have clear identity . the HORROR/ FANTASTIC concept and the rock genre . with LOONA we don't know they can be cute , fierce , girl crush , bubbly , scary etc..... i think the BUTTERFLY / STAR and now FLIP / THAT as to be they're main identity and concept . if they can keep it i think the korean fans like me can be more interested by them and they can gain ^popularity .
for Bahiyyih the sister of TXT kai . you're right she got a little bit more line here . but she's not that unique in fact many of us here in korea compare her with another great and popular idol JEON SOMI . the 2 girls look like twins wityh blonde hair they're both tall and both didn't really look like korean girls more like half blood korean and both of course are super pretty .
@@fabricemaire4433 No one sees it. In fact people only says that they both look like BARBIES and not that they look alike ahahahahah What you are saying doesn't make any sense. People also say that they have the same vibe (solo artists) but not that they look alike because they are not even closer to be alike
in fact it's really weird to me to see them ( KEP1ER) not that popular during QUEENDOM and literally did really well real life . they sales more than 360K + of they're debut albums that huge way more than TWICE at they're debut for exemple. they're rank 4 or 5 amoung the GG for the best debut album sales of all time . they win 3 music show. and even if they just drop they're mv they got more than 3 millions vue when for exemple LOONA ( who's got a better popularity during QUEENDOM ) struggle to reach 1million vue . and sale less albums . so far this song and they're dance routine is what we can expected from them powerful , energetic and cute .
What happened in Queendom with Kep1er was simply that the fandom was young, coming out of a music program and therefore very divided with discussions every week before and after Kep1er was formed, to that you add that more than half of the fandom did not want Queendom out of fear of how they would be treated or how the members would feel, resulting in little support on the show. What the fandom wanted was a good Comeback with a good budget, fair lines and screen time and that's what we got, that's why the fandom is super happy, excited and getting fat XD
