    Have an A3, and tried to get it fixed at dealer because of the recall, guess what, my VIN number is not one of the one listed on the Audi recall list. They are a pack of a..holes, they have tens of thousands of these they need to replace and all they are doing is putting the same casting back in, changing the software to drop the pressure from 70 to 50 bar.
    Anyway, I replaced using the Kinergo unit. I did it with the mech still in the car...super simple. Took me around 4 hrs with basic tools. I recon I can now do it in 2. Thanks to clever ppl like Kinergo, we need more people like that to help us little guys, when big corporate dicks don't want to come to the party. Have a nice day :)

      I had the recall done on my car a year and a half ago, and today I had this code. When I scanned it with VCDS I found out that the pressure is 40bar. I believe the casing in my case is cracked and it will get worse. The recall did not remediate the issue. I plan on taking my car to VW and see what they are going to say about this.

      Are you able to tell how to go about reducing the pressure in the mechatronics unit in order to open up thew transmission? I note you did at home - I would like to try as well. Any special advice? Cheers, from New Zealand

    • @vassze2246
      @vassze2246 4 месяца назад +1

      Hey there, the mech was losing pressure at the time, so when I opened things up, there was no pressure in the accumulator. I can't believe its been 4 years. Car is still going strong, missus is happy and that is the main thing (of course)! I can't advise re pressure, but changing it was easy...IMHO. Best of luck.

    I think he talks about the Kinergo repair kit, is a pricey in my opinion, but maybe worth it if is crack proof. At 70bar must be very strong.

    I have a DQ200 DSG SKODA 2016. Only code came up is P17BF00. Mechanic is sorting out the mectronic but now saying the TCM is gone to. I have no symptoms and it drives and changes gears perfectly. Only problem it lights up and says gearbox error once a day if that.
    What do you think? As now it’s costing me £1400 as originally was £800.

I ran a check on VW site and it tells me to take it to a dealer/service center. i live in Sydney and just bought this car last week so I'm not sure which service center to take it to to get the recall work done "Correctly". Any suggestions as to which service center is better/reliable? i presume recalls can not be done by specialists outside of the dealer/service centers right?

    Hello !
    I recently had my gear selector on the dashboard flashing with a spanner sign. So, after having the car diagnosed, it came up with this P17BF fault code !
    Do you reckon this has to do with the accumulator housing being cracked , or could it be something else ?
    Appreciate if you could please let me know. Thanks
