This is such a dumb point, some people are good at the game and still get sweated on, back in the day no one cares about improving they were just goofing around having a good time, I’ve been playing this game for 5 years and I’ve seen kids who have started even after me that are cracked out of their mind, there is a difference to being good at a game, and being so good it ruins the fun for others.

Here's a solution, if you're tired of dying to sweats from unbalanced matchmaking... stick to co-ops or single player. Multiplayers have gotten super competitive which has sucked the fun right out of them. That's why I play single players now, fuck PvPs 🤷♂️

The problem with the "git gud" mentality is that you end up playing the meta to keep an competitive edge.
Every player ends up using the same loadout, the same positioning and rotations, certain skins, etc. It feels like you're playing in a lobby against clones of yourself, and it gets boring quick.
I just want to use non meta weapons/items and still do ok in most of my matches, I don't even want to pubstomp or win alot of games doing that while not getting absolutely rolled by the first team I fight.
Pub games should be like that, to explore what the game has to offer and have a degree of fun without feeling you put yourself in a disadvantge but SBMM forces you to play against seriously competitiive players as soon you have a couple good games hence this vicous cycle to play the meta every match just to stand a chance.

True, but there’s nothing anyone can do to change the reality that in competitive games where only one person comes out a winner you’re gonna have competition. There is always someone better. To you someone who is better than you is a sweat but for someone who isn’t as good as you you’re the sweat. Reality is practice makes perfect can’t be mad just cause other people have more than you

Ez win for anyone: go to a specific place and hide in a corner so that you could get the element of surprise. If you encounter a player while moving hiding spots one of two things will happen: 1. They'll start building so you could run away easier, even better when you have a vehicle.
2. They will shoot at you without building so you better hide behind something and fight. It's basically zero build during that type of fight so just hope you are decent enough at aiming.

Because getting better is the fun part? It’s not like “sweats” wake up and decide “Do I want to have fun today or do I just want to play well?” Good players are just good
its cos people have fun with the game, which is what motivates them to grind and get better in the first place. when people make progression in the things they like, it makes those things more enjoyable and make you want to grind more. Example: grind fortnite cos killing and getting victory royales makes me feel good and is fun. I want to get better so i can experience that feeling more often.

This is a bad take. First off all if i have too be playing for not even hours but even just 2 - 3 hours a day just to "git gud" that game is flawed, games were meant to be fun and not at all competitive, but now we are saying that if you actually want to do something else other than play fortnite or other game, you are "the bot'. Just really stupid.
The thing is every game I play is no fun anymore. I spend 2+ hours on Fortnite but I’m not improving. All I want to do is have fun but sweats make that impossible. Every lobby I enter has at least 20 sweats and toxic players. And all these RUclipsrs are saying to keep trying but I can’t anymore. I practice 1 hour a day yet every sweat I face kills and emotes on me. I can barely edit, my building sucks, I have terrible reaction time, I have horrible game sense and I don’t know how to double edit. These shouldn’t be thing I’m insecure about and shouldn’t be things I’m being picked on about in my comment section. There’s no fun in Fortnite or RUclips anymore so I think I’m gonna stop following my dreams. Even in FRICKING BEDWARS there are sweats! I can’t even improve and when I’m proud of something people are rude and toxic. Anyways if anybody sees this thanks for reading it and this may be a possible goodbye.

fortnite was never suppose to be a game with sweats, there wasnt suppose to be “90s” what was about the game was that you have to survive, shoot, and build a fort to protect yourself. This game isnt about grinding, being competitive NO. it was about playing normally and not being competitive

Im not even bad i can build faster than most players do simple edits fast and hit about 70% of my shots but my lobbies are fill with ppl who edit threw 10 boxes and edit a wall 5 times in 1 sec and do sum lil trick to get me to shoot then they edit n shoot me or they use sum weird angle where i cant hit them n they can hit me n they hit about 90% of thier shots the thing is searching up metas cheese tacktics sitting in an aim trainer n edit course is not fun i shouldnt have to practice every day for hours on a game just to be able to win that is not fun u see what all these sweats look like irl n i do not wanna be one of them thats why i quit sticking to single or co op player story games cuz they actually fun n i dont have to practice for hours every day to win thats why ppl dont like sweats dont no normal person got time to be doing all that weird shii
You shouldn't have to practice to get good?? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Name one thing you're good at that you didn't have to practice. I could give you a 1hr routine and you'd be twice as good in a months time so don't make the excuse that you need to spend your whole life on the game just to be above average and have some fun. If putting in effort in isn't your thing just stick to single player games on the lowest difficulty

So if ranked is TRULY fixed, this will level the playing field, maximizing fun and balance for all, right...? Right? My wife and I are in our 30's, and can see the fun potential this game could have, but have experienced both "bot" days and "sweat" days. But today, we hit gold, and two tounds in a row, there was a duo team that were actually hacking, and thats just messed up... Played for a year or two, and havent seen that myself, just sweats. First team hacked the reboot can, started over and over, baiting people. When they saw me, instant reboot! I killed them, teammate landed and dropped me with the gray pisyol, bo shields! I had a blue drum shotgun, no sgields, and unloaded on them. Crazy! Next match, we had a team kill my wife upon landing, and then proceded to guard the card indefinitely. Just chilling in the storm for minites on end, guarding my wife's card that had long since fallen into the storm. I heard them using that healing gun, but they shouldnt have been able to keep that up for as long as they did. Desite my best efforts, I ditched my wife's card l, and hid in a house, only to get double-teamed by these guys, after sitting in the storm for over 5 minites, and proceeding to play the "jackass" emote... Its kids like this that ruin games for everyone, either by exploits they find, or by "literally" hacking. Its sad, and I want to find a good coop game that encourages teamwork instead of the toxic PvP games companies keep pumping out... Any suggestions?

Kinda contradictory.., the average kid has some sort of entertainment in their life, such as a video game like Fortnite, or a tv show, etc.. it’s really no different and it’s common for young kids that play video games to do after school activities like sports. If anything playing a video game like that allows you to spend time with your friends. By your logic everything entertainment at a young age is nonproductive..

People don’t understand, the game has been out for 6 years now. You can improve so much in that time even if you don’t play every day and or for hours a day. People make it seen like you literally have to have no life to become decent at the game. Most good or decent players at the game contrary to popular belief actually do have lives outside of the game , yet they still improve at it.
