My first few games with the solar auxilia were painful, but after getting to grips with them I’m doing pretty well. Vox interlock and big blobs of infantry can tarpit marines and close off areas on the table. Also the artillery and armoured tercios are cheap and versatile. It is a really punishing army though but the aesthetic is brilliant. Great batrep chaps.
Solar auxilia has no chance to fight space marines in 2.0, all their good guns are nerfed and they still die to everything... Its like the books, just doesnt make for very interesting games.
Around 40:41 I believe you made a mistake. The vindicators moved but still were able to fire all 3 of their shots each. However when an Ord wpn moves, they are only allowed to fire 1x shot each, can’t snap fire. So that should’ve been 2x shots into the dracosan

I wonder if games would be balanced a little better if the auxilia were granted an extra 25% more points. Perhaps that could be a fun future battle report to run it as an experiment :)
The leman Russ vanquishers, no need to add a commander and cognis signum total waste of points. The vanquisher has a coaxial autocannon, if you shoot that first and score a hit it makes the main weapon twin linked.
30:18 while you don't take morale for reaction casualties you do still take pinning. If you get pinned in your own turn you are pinned till the end of your next turn. Sucks a bunch.
@@CyrodiilCome game speaks for itself. Just simple statistics, the balance is all wrong. Solar auxilia used to have strong tanks, artillery and airplanes. With numbers they needed to keep the line while the heavy guns did the work. Remove the guns and there is only a line of bodies which will crumble fast. Only way to play is just spamming cheap units and wait until the game is over.
@@adventure-people153640k rules are even worse than heresy rules. So bland and boring, might be the simplest wargame out there. Heresy just needs to figure out its balancing better. Idk what they were thinking by changing dreadnoughts to have wounds and why they nerfed all the heavy weapons of the non marine armies.

A rule of thumb I've found when running Dark Brotherhood is to always pick a vehicle as the sacrifice if there is one. They are just too easy to kill.

this game Luka loves saying "Frenchyyyyy" and "Spooky Scary" :D
Also one thing on the tercios is they can never have more then 3 units - so this makes it more strategic which units you fit into them.

I actually ran the full dead list a few times, Its much less strong than you would think. I lost every game of like 6 I played 😅
