19:10 the game genre you’re thinking of is called a light gun game, because the gun you use has ir light that the screen can detect which registers where you shot. The GOAT of these games is the Time Crisis series. I believe Time Crisis 4 or 5 has a section or two where your shooting robot bugs like this.
My mind went to sega’s “let’s go jungle!” It was one of my favorite arcade games. And the arcade I went to had a giant version where there’s a door and it would close. And the seat spins so you’d shoot from the back of the jeep to the front while your seat physically spun. I truly enjoy Uncharted 3’s story. My only issue is the Nathan/Elena breakup repetition. The fact that it keeps happening makes you wonder if it would be better off with them parting ways
Uncharted 3 I played when it came out, having given the first two a shot based purely off the hype generated by the trailers for 3. It's also worth noting there was a fun youtube series where Troy Baker and Nolan North (before Troy split the channel) played through each uncharted game (and the Last of Us Pt1) in their entirety with guest appearances from Amy Hennig, and the other cast members, it's well worth a watch!
Yeah I played and completed all the Uncharted games only a few years ago, and on my initial playthrough, I actually liked Uncharted 3 the most out of the first 3. Yes it has some plot conveniences, and I wish they had gone deeper with some of the characters, but the gameplay, set pieces and humor were all still top notch, and honestly that scene with Elena and Drake after he stumbles into her room after escaping abduction is one of my favorite moments in the entire series, and it has quite a bit of emotional depth, in no small part because of the performances. Despite its flaws, I still love this game!
This was actually my first Uncharted game, I had played The Last of Us first and found out about the series afterwards. I still remember getting this game for my birthday and popping it into my PS3, being absolutely blown away by just how insane the set pieces are. Uncharted 2 and 4 are still my favorites overall but Uncharted 3 holds a place in my heart because it was the first one I played, y'know? Great video as always, and I can't wait to see you talk about Uncharted 4!

No 2 is better but 3 is better than 4 4 doesnt feel great enought for the closing of the saga i think 4 should have either been bigger or just not the last uncharted
Hot take: U3 isn't better than U2, but it definitely isn't worse. U3 expands on things that were (in my opinion) lacking in U2 like the story (say what you want, but Yugoslavian soviet-style merc massacring the Tibetian villages, Na*i Annenerbe zoldiers and immortal mutants are not as original as it may seem, and definitely not better than "Indiana Jones meets Oceans eleven" story about lost medieval city). Also character developments and interactions are amazing. So it's all about a personal preferences, and not some objective flaws (as U2 had them too). Overall, the whole series is a one big masterpiece and master class in storyrelling.
Of the first three games I actually favor 3. I can't explain why. I just live for the accidental skydive. I also LOVE the opening quote. It just hits so right.
As for the pirate arc ,its actually one of best action scenes in the game,I loved it ,I loved playing it,it made me feel like I am nathan drake , that's what the game is all about,at the end uncharted 3 is one of the best games for me ...ever
22:07 I'm curently rewatching this video and I hear Helldivers mentioned and my head almost started spinning and I needed like a minute of processing and pacing back and forth in my room, cut I could swear that this video came out like half a year ago and not 1 month ago.
19:10 Arcade game with gun and foot pedal? Do you mean the Time Crisis series? I think it was the first arcade shooter that actually started you in cover and pressing the foot pedal brought you out of cover so you could shoot enemies. Releasing the foot pedal let you hide/dodge attacks and also, reloaded your handgun ammo. Third game in the series introduced new weapons that you could swap between. The music in the game series is a banger though.
It’s interesting you say that you wanted Charlie to be around longer because that was actually the original intention but during development of the game Charlie’s actor Graham McTavish (who also played Zoran Lazarevic) was cast as one of the dwarfs in The Hobbit trilogy meaning he had to move to New Zealand for the year long production that’s why Charlie abruptly leaves the story
I unfortunately got the trilogy when it was on the PS4. And got Uncharted 4 with the system. I honestly loved the series as a fun time and laugh from all the jokes quips and banter. I did take the time to find all the treasures hidden throughout the game on all 4 games. (Still having a hard time on Lost Legacy) But this series will always be there for some fun and laughs with a great story to listen to as you play.
I played all 4 when they came out and 1, 2, and 3 have been beaten multiple times. The stories might not be the best but they're still fun for me anyways and I've actually gotten some inspiration for D&D ideas from these games
God I adore uncharted, started with 4 and have since played lost legacy and 1 and 2 as part of the drake collection, haven’t gotten round to 3 yet but quite excited
Man, I was like 17 when I played it on release and the Sully death really got to me, I completely bought it and was absolutely PISSED and eager to jump down there like Drake to mow them down. Still wish they stuck with it tho, as you said, it would've been one hell of a way to end Drake's destructive dreams
Charlie Cutter is a great character in this game and the series overall. Would love to see him return in a future game with Chloe, Nadine and Sam maybe.
The multiplayer was something else. Some matches started with a team defending a plane taking off while the other team was on cars or both teams on two different trains
Uncharted 1 will always be my favorite minus those jet ski parts but all of the games have been solid fun action adventure titles and I'm glad to see them still getting love to this day
My fiancé and i love watching these when they come out, also i would recommend taking a look at banishers: ghosts of new eden! Gameplay a little boring but the STORY is just phenomenal
6:38 I can't tell if it's a bit or not, but like half of the pipes, drains and the literal golden letters young Drake climbs down are all yellow signs pointing the way to climb/go. This isn't a bad thing, but it's strange that it's such an "issue" now.
Idk, I grew up with Indiana Jones and Lara Croft, so I enjoyed the story of this series all the way through (I played them much later in life, same boat as you, GW). It's not Shakespeare, but it keeps you wondering, "What happens now?" My only peeves are the final boss fights (never been a fan of gimmick battles, and the checkpoints don't help if you mess up) and low replay value. Playing Drake's Fortune through to A Theif's End feels like watching a complete film series back-to-back. It's a great time, but you'll be exhausted by the end of it.

I do think 4 is really hard to replay though, as the opening is fairly long with minimal action. Lost Legacy has its fun moments, but it can feel really awkward at points.

While Uncharted 3 definitely isn’t the best in the series, it is my favorite purely because of nostalgia. Probably the game I’ve sunk the most hours into and replayed the most
I recently played uncharted 1 to 3 in like a week or 2 time each (cuz I can’t speed run and neglect other games man I payed money) and so far uncharted 3 was the best in my opinion in story characters conflict guns (debatable to U2) hand to hand combat etc and out of the first 3 in my opinion the best (But if we include uncharted 4 U4 winning big time I know even tho I havnt finished it rn)
I remember Uncharted 3 being my first Uncharted game, both to play and to beat when I was younger, and it continues to be my favourite. Should I have been playing it at 5 or 6 years old? No, but damn this game was too good to stop little me from playing it all the way through.
Very underrated The game is amazing despite not being 100% finished btw Imagine if it was finished it would have been on par with Uncharted 2 Its weird but all the uncharted games are way better than i remember and i loved them even before
"Doesn't this remind you of the arcade game with the plastic gun and the petal?" You mean Time Crisis? Great game. And you must mean TC 4 with the Terror Bites.
Uncharted 3 is my entrance in the series, I know people say "Your first game is your favorite" and I understand. But Uncharted 3 was bottlenecked by TLOU, they made two teams to make U3 and TLOU and in the end people say the TLOU team was the best cuz of the good story, graphics, gameplay etc... ( It also won a GOTY so...). I’m not saying I hate TLOU, it’s actually a close second favourite game of mine. But people just say U3 was bad cuz of the story, some people said it was underdeveloped (no shit) cuz TLOU team had some devs from Uncharted 2 who couldn't wait to work on the next Uncharted but guess what Neil Druckmann had some other Ideas. Look at the behind the scenes footage on the ps3 version (@Playstation and @PSGlitchers have them uploaded on his channel) where the developers talk what they did to make the game look good or etc, they actually put so much work in this one. If you watch them all, you can see a good amount of devs from U2 aren't in the U3 BTS videos. That shows how many devs were pushed to work on U3. They did research on the Atlantis of the Sand, Lawrence of Arabia's death and more research than they did before on the other games. Also the Soundtrack is at it's peak in all games (Greg Edmonson outdid himself). Even Nolan North, Richard McGonagle played it (on the formerly known Retro Replay channel, now called Couch Soup), and said that U3 was their favorite because there was more Sully but also because they enjoyed making it. And Richard McGonagle even hated making U4 cuz Amy Hennig was fired and Neil had to work on it. But people nowadays say Uncharted 2 or 4 or even Lost Legacy is their favorite, because you either entered the franchise too late (Because of the Legacy of Thieves collection) or you follow the trend with other people. I'm not saying Uncharted 2/4/LL was bad, I'm saying that they're overrated (maybe LL not). But you calling it a joke is not cool. People don‘t appreciate it because of the story or some other reason. But the Multiplayer was the reason I bought the game, my friend said it was a crazy good Multiplayer and I bought it no questions asked. I don’t remember if I played the Story or the Multiplayer, but I loved the story and the father and son relationship with Sully and Nate. But people saying it’s the worst in the franchise is not true. Uncharted 3 won some awards and (like I said) people loved its gameplay, multiplayer, etc…
I first played Uncharted a few months ago. My sister got me the Nathan Drake collection for Christmas and I smashed all 3 games out pretty quickly. If I were to rate them I’d say 2, 1 and 3. I was in a PlayStation party while playing and I’d always say to my friend “WHEN DOES ELENA COME IN” I love her sm 😂. And I nicknamed uncharted 3 “walking simulator” obviously not as bad as death stranding, but still. I can’t wait to play 4!
How the hell is this story lackluster, pulling out all those real references making a story out of it and Linking it to something happend 20 yrs ago and also showing how sully came into his life ,I can't think of a better story for an adventure action game like this,It just feels out and out as an action movie ,that too a great one
Yooooo speaking of games that feel like movies, what would a guy have to do to get a wins video for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided? 👀 Only an hour into the story and holy fuck

Im the 1k like it was so satisfying seeing the numbers changed
*Finally*
In the words of the great Stephen A. Smith, “this is exactly what I’ve been waiting for”
I remember Uncharted 3 being my first Uncharted game, both to play and to beat when I was younger, and it continues to be my favourite.
Should I have been playing it at 5 or 6 years old? No, but damn this game was too good to stop little me from playing it all the way through.
Very underrated
The game is amazing despite not being 100% finished btw
Imagine if it was finished it would have been on par with Uncharted 2
Its weird but all the uncharted games are way better than i remember and i loved them even before
I was convinced Marlowe was played by Helen Mirren
We get an Uncharted video per year. Can't wait for 2026 to finally get my Lost Legacy review ❤❤
"Doesn't this remind you of the arcade game with the plastic gun and the petal?"
You mean Time Crisis? Great game. And you must mean TC 4 with the Terror Bites.
15:17 Not this being how I finally noticed that the setpieces are built around the four elements! 😂
19:15 the game i believe you were thinking of is Time Crisis
This makes me SUUUPER excited for the Uncharted 4 video. 3 is good in many ways but has its faults like the rest of them
Uncharted 3 is my entrance in the series, I know people say "Your first game is your favorite" and I understand.
I was SHOOK in 2011 when "Sully" got shot.
*mentions old arcade game with the plastic gun and petal* Dude, that's Time Crisis.
Hey gaming wins, I was wondering if you can do everything great about Sleeping Dogs? I feel like it's hugely underrated.
I love Uncharted 3 more now because it reminds me of Dune
I first played Uncharted a few months ago. My sister got me the Nathan Drake collection for Christmas and I smashed all 3 games out pretty quickly. If I were to rate them I’d say 2, 1 and 3. I was in a PlayStation party while playing and I’d always say to my friend “WHEN DOES ELENA COME IN” I love her sm 😂. And I nicknamed uncharted 3 “walking simulator” obviously not as bad as death stranding, but still. I can’t wait to play 4!
I’m waiting for everything great about Mafia Definitive Edition
Recommendation if you wanna use it, the dead rising series
And the witcher 3 plus expansions
*UNCHARTED IS PEAK*
19:10 I think you're referring to Time Crisis.
How the hell is this story lackluster, pulling out all those real references making a story out of it and Linking it to something happend 20 yrs ago and also showing how sully came into his life ,I can't think of a better story for an adventure action game like this,It just feels out and out as an action movie ,that too a great one
YES FINALLY
is it time crisis or house of the dead you are thinking of when you are talking about the swarm in the video?
9:12 Seeing great things? From a smaller Nathan Drake
Almost like its greatness from small beginnings-HEYYO😂😂😂
Yooooo speaking of games that feel like movies, what would a guy have to do to get a wins video for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided? 👀 Only an hour into the story and holy fuck
U4 is gonna make you cry
wish the multiplayer was on for the ps4 version
Can you do a video on days gone please? Would love to hear your opinion
Finalllyyyyyy
I actually find Uncharted 3 to have a good story
Why does Man Drake need treasure? Is he greedy?
He must be working with man since he is rich
Even a bad Uncharted game is still better than most games 😂
I beg of you please do a videonon MGSV
