I have grown up in a non-denominational church and part of my testimony is putting God in a box and only thinking that He was something that I could open up on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights at youth group. I finally came to a point at a church camp where I truly yearned for that relationship with Jesus and to have my own relationship with God apart from my parents. Accepting Jesus into my heart was the best decision I have ever made and chasing after the Lord is now my one desire. It is so inspiring seeing you light up in this video with the Holy Spirits joy radiating through you! Keep spreading Gods word and it’s so amazing to see you go from being Mormon to chasing after Jesus! Praying for you girl💗💗

The way you explained how one day you realized that the world was sunny and beautiful is EXACTLY what happened to me. For the longest time I was depressed and nothing I could do would make it better either. I had been feeling that way (on a off since I was younger), but for a LONG while. It wasn’t until like this past September/October that I really let Jesus into my life and realized how beautiful I am and the world is. I will say.. I’ve been backsliding recently, haven’t read my Bible in a while, don’t pray as often.. and I definitely feel myself trying to go back into that hole, but I’m so glad I watched this video. It’s comforting knowing that someone else feels how I felt and that they also found the content (self love/acceptance) that I have. Jesus truly is the best ❤️

I don’t know what it is but I think He’s gonna us her to further His kingdom because of her deep longing for real, absolute truth! So I prayed for you (not consistently, but every so often) that God would do His work in you! And He is! And has! And I’m soooo excited for more of it to come!!!! I am so happy that you are sharing this with us. I grew up in a Christian home and I knew about Jesus, I prayed, I experienced God's presence, I loved going to church and telling people about Jesus... but it wasn't until 2017 that I realised that I needed to actually have a relationship with the Lord and it is so incredible having a relationship with God, having Him be there all the time and being able to just talk to Him and have him respond to what you're saying. It is wild. It is so overwhelming and incredible.

I have been raised in a christian home and have gotten closer to God since being away at a christian college but lately have been struggling in my walk with Him. But you have inspired me to get back in the word not just because its the right thing to do and everyone tells me to, but to actually get to a place where I want to.

I have been watching you since you were 15, and I was 13. I'm so incredibly proud of you Syd. From a fellow sister in Christ, never lose the passion you have for Him now. There will be times when you won't feel God, but keep on trusting in Him no matter what you feel. Also get some bible tabs to help you find the books of the bible easier. I also recommend reading Romans as it really is like a Christian handbook haha.

Hi. I experienced the same. I was in a very very dark place and it was very very hard for me to pray to God. But I just got tired of being in this dark place and all can say is "help me" while crying. After that I just felt like my old self died and I was reborn, though it sounds easy but this was the hardest part, it was a long process to surrender everything to God. You were right, the world became so beautiful and bright after that. I also experience less anxiety and depression just like you or if ever I experience it again my first response is to pray and remind myself that I am safe and God is protecting me. But I am still confused, like is everything that happened, all the scary and dark parts, was in God's plan for me so that I can be a new person? I don't doubt God and I trust him it's just that I am in this confused stage if everything that happened to me was God's plan or is it because I stayed away from him before.

I grew up in a Christian home and I knew about Jesus, I prayed, I experienced God's presence, I loved going to church and telling people about Jesus... but it wasn't until 2017 that I realised that I needed to actually have a relationship with the Lord and it is so incredible having a relationship with God, having Him be there all the time and being able to just talk to Him and have him respond to what you're saying. It is wild. It is so overwhelming and incredible.

So many churches get so caught up in their own teachings and doctrine that they begin to disregard the word of God itself. The Bible is God speaking to us. There is no greater source of truth on Earth than the Holy Bible. I was so happy to listen to your story because with every sentence there was just more and more truth! Sydney, I love seeing your genuine heart for the Lord. It was cool to see you go from mormonism to christianity. I have been raised in a christian home and have gotten closer to God since being away at a christian college but lately have been struggling in my walk with Him. But you have inspired me to get back in the word not just because its the right thing to do and everyone tells me to, but to actually get to a place where I want to.

It's crazy to me that you are only a few years older than me, yet you have lived so much and are so wise in your faith! When you talked about finding contentment in Christ it reminded me of Paul writing in Philippians 4. Philippians is one of my favorite books in the Bible and I highly recommend if you haven't read it already!

I have been watching you since you were 15, and I was 13. I'm so incredibly proud of you Syd. From a fellow sister in Christ, never lose the passion you have for Him now. There will be times when you won't feel God, but keep on trusting in Him no matter what you feel.

Hi. I experienced the same. I was in a very very dark place and it was very very hard for me to pray to God. But I just got tired of being in this dark place and all can say is "help me" while crying. After that I just felt like my old self died and I was reborn, though it sounds easy but this was the hardest part, it was a long process to surrender everything to God. You were right, the world became so beautiful and bright after that. I also experience less anxiety and depression just like you or if ever I experience it again my first response is to pray and remind myself that I am safe and God is protecting me. But I am still confused, like is everything that happened, all the scary and dark parts, was in God's plan for me so that I can be a new person? I don't doubt God and I trust him it's just that I am in this confused stage if everything that happened to me was God's plan or is it because I stayed away from him before.
