I love this so much. I'm a baby boomer in my 70s and my inner hippie is calling me again. I've come full circle, my hair is long, and I would love maybe a simple 1l braid design, with 1 braid, slightly hidden, possibly 2. Don't want to overdue it at my age, but I think I can pull it off. You could use a crochet latch hook to pull half the length through at the top/base of the braid first and then do the double knot front and back to prevent slipping 😊

can you wash your hair with these in?
I used to have hair wraps often and I would usually wash them just like I would wash my hair normally. But I'm not sure if it will work on curly/wavy hair because I have extremely straight hair.

update ‼️ : my hair if fine :D the hair wraps have actually dried faster and I just washed my hair like normal, except not conditioning the hair wraps. i have white girl curls, so this’ll work perfectly fine with that hair texture !! (i’m a 2b - 3b, so that leaves a little room for people in between

It’s silk and you can get a lot at once for cheap. You can use it to make no sew curtains, jewelry and wraps. (Patches etc) endless uses.

If I made a braid using just embroidery floss, can I wash my hair with it in?
You saved me
Yes you can wash your hair with them I would say avoid getting any shampoo or conditioner on them. You can rinse them but make sure you dry them well by squeezing with a towel then using a hair dryer. ✌️

You just add an elastic at the end like a regular braid. You can get the small clear ones so they don’t show too much
