what an insult to the guys who have actually played in the mens game and those who maybe didn't but spent years trying to work up their coaching resume's to try and break it into the big leagues... btw the minute she said "this space" you knew this was a goof.
It's just her language of choice, don't over analyze it. I'm not defending the people who chose her over some other 'guy' but I"m sure there were reasons for her to be chosen over someone else. Do you think whoever got the job didn't beat out some other 'guy' because they were less qualified? Put another way, was she the best qualified assistant coach out of all the candidates? Maybe consider that of all the people who applied for the job, she was the best qualified and yes, including her marketability as a an intangibility asset to the organization. The NHL is about sensationalism more than ever now. Those Amazon or Netflix specials in the locker room for example. Bottom line, they didn't just pluck some pretty face off the street for marketing purposes; she has some actual chops. All that said, I think your attitude isn't at all unique. If the players don't buy into the system then she'll be the first to go.
Because there isn't a competitive womens league to coach in? There's one brand new female hockey league. I'm not saying she's a good coach, or isn't a good coach, but if she's good at what she does then she would want to coach at the highest level possible.
she's the 1st female assistant coach, but when will she become the 1st female head coach? (& don't forget the NHL already had the 1st female player before, albeit only in 2 pre-season games, not regular season, & not the whole games only for a period or two - which is still more glass-ceiling shattering than coaching)
Laughable…..The NHL is no longer about winning but has become a social experiment. No she didn’t really play with boys that had any future in hockey. Sick society.
Kraken wanting to be the first. Many veteran players don't take inexperienced male assistant coaches serious, let alone an inexperienced female assistant coach. Will eventually result in letting her go
But where's the double standard? How does a guy coaching womens basketball/volleyball/soccer/gymnastics not introduce sexual tension? I'm not saying she's a good coach or isn't, but your comment isn't fair either.
is nothing sacred!women coaching men's hockey? if she hasn't been checked into the boards by a 210lbs defenseman than she doesn't have a clue.this is bs
You are very inspirational, Jessica Campbell! Way to go! 👏

@@MisterMister5893 It's a PR stunt nothing more
this is the problem with woman sports. if she is the best female coach in the world, then why isnt she coaching woman hockey.

Вот это будет опасно🤨 что у неё придёт в голову никто не разгадает 🤨 "Чертовы" Кракены🤨

It would most likely be Jessica in 3-5 years. Hayley Wickenheiser could have been that first head coach but she choose management for her career.

What a joke.
When she eventually gets fired for not being good at her job, some weird accusations will come up. Trust me.
It does seem that there is a very high % chance of this not ending well.
she will cry.
Go Coach Campbell! I love this 👍😃
i hate it
Make women housewives great again
agreed. sick of this woman crap

Admit it or not this will introduce sexual tension . It’s human nature. Go coach the women’s team. They need you.
But where's the double standard? How does a guy coaching womens basketball/volleyball/soccer/gymnastics not introduce sexual tension? I'm not saying she's a good coach or isn't, but your comment isn't fair either.
I cannot disagree with you. And it sure isn’t fair . That is just the way we are though like it or not.

To be fair, most NHL coaches weren't very good at playing the game either.
It's not like she's going to be teaching players the basics of checking either, this isn't peewee hockey.
