For a country for which everybody say it's backward they sure have some really high tech toys that most of western countries doesnt have.
Oh we definitely have them, way higher tech weapons actually, with more power and higher quantity of them. Surprisingly, we don't parade them around for our non-allies to see what they're dealing with so they can study them. If you don't believe me, look at our fighter jets. The US has the fastest, most versatile, maneuverable, undetectable, and deadly fighter jets on earth in the F22, with even more advanced jets in the works. The F22 strikes fear into Russian, Asian, and Middle Eastern fighter pilots because their planes can't compete. The same engineering and technology will apply to our arsenal of nukes, missiles, and nuclear defense. Not to mention our national intelligence is incredible especially since 9/11. They have eyes and ears everywhere and nothing North Korea could do would catch us off guard and we'd be prepared before they even fire a single bullet intended for America.
if i remember correctly North Korea was ready to give up their nukes in exchange for lifting sanctions but USA did not agree, they prefer hungry North Korea with nukes
I agree. And the US will NEVER learn that by starving a country with sanctions, you are making them to work harder to survive, which may later make them richer than you in the future. Who ever thought a communist country would make it economically?
Just look at China today, and they don't seem to be slowing down in improving their economy.
If my history is good, China was among the first countries to have sanctions against them after the communist Mao Ze Dong crushed the democratic Chiang Kaishek.

@@tibchy144 "USA incorporated isolated China into the global trade in order to alienate them from Soviet Union." @@Gnomosfortheoffice true, The North Wind and the Sun fable by Aesop comes to mind.. but then we enter the world of U.S. internal politics where friendly posture towards the NK is seen as a sign of weakness and used as a political weapon by adversaries in U.S. internal power struggle

Another thing is that North Korea has continued it's incredibly anti-American sentiment nonstop for it's entire existence, knowing America is it's sole enemy. Plus China and North Korean have a mutual defense pact which was just renewed for another 20 years. biden has been substantially harsher, saying he won’t give Kim Jong-Un ‘international recognition', stating; “What I would not do is what has been done in the recent past. I would not give him all he’s looking for, international recognition as legitimate, and give him what allowed him to move in a direction of appearing to be more serious about what he wasn’t at all serious about.” he also said they would 'respond in accordance' should north korea continue to escalate their missile testing in violation of U.N. Only the US (GPS), Russia (GLONASS) and China (Beidu) have such global system. Japan and India also have, but it is only regional reach. Now both South Korea and North Korea are ICBM capable as Korea was lifted the range limit .Korea's ICBM system is based on the Soviet R36 which was brought from Russia in 1998 by ship; it was disassembled and reassembled . No country in the world can survive with 40 of its biggest cities destroyed.
