Maybe you could also do on 3d lighting? It would be amazing to specify crucial information about the softwares involved in lighting like Katana, and how e.g. it relates to texturing software like Mari. Or since you mentioned compositing: how Nuke, Clarisse, Fusion are all getting pipelined these days. It would mean the heavens for people who want to hear the secrets of getting into the lighting stage of the work. Which steps should novice artists in 3d take to get to a solid grasp with lighting/compositing the render scenes? Just adding my grain of salt but I think there is a problem in the industry right now as too many softwares have emerged. Like for 3d modeling you have 3ds Max, Maya, 3dCoat, Houdini, etc.... Sculpting Zbrush, Mudbox, 3dCoat again. Texturing/mapping there are soooo many softwares it's frustrating. The one case where I see people lose years of potential because of lazy explanations like: use substance painter for games, mari for films. Whereas it's all about the texture quality and the UDIM uv's! The rate at which the industry keeps evolving is mind boggling. You can barely scratch the surface, and something new is already out. It's a bit frustrating. But it keeps people from getting to learn the final softwares, I mean the lookdevs like Marmoset, Keyshot and finally the magic of light in Katana... :)
Also gotta say you have one of the best channels on 3d. I've been getting valuable intel and tricks of the trade. It's an exemplary channel. Keep at it! :)
