Brentilda, the first person to get sub 10, had (from what I've heard) a pb of 18 minutes before it. That's a pretty insane cut, almost half the time.

If the leaderboards are wrong and don't reflect the actual top scores, then can they really be called official?
Never been a fan of the speedrun website tbh, like Guinness World Records, it's just a fun gimmick and nothing else.
The New Horizons mod will not get legalized.
A mod to fix another mod is nonsensical, and a fixed version of the mod that causes the issue in the first place is already released and legalized. It implements the same thing that New Horizons does, as well as another safety net in the code since New Horizons' solution to the crash is not considered a clean or proper solution.
For drip's run, it does not necessarily matter how the crash was fixed or what was legalized after the run. Historically, when mods/updates are legalized, they are only legalized for future runs, and don't apply retroactively. If drip's run will be verified, it will be because of various other reasons relating to the moderator's lack of involvement and communication with the mod developers and the players that lead to drip needing to run with New Horizons.
Also note that drip's run is not rejected nor verified despite the many claims for either. The run is in the queue along with lots of other runs which takes time to get through. World records do not get to skip the queue.

W video as always tho, the outcome here was super unfortunate, drip will just have to cop a better pc and go do it again. if anything, they made it very clear that there's still room for improvement and i'm sure we'll be seeing a sub 7 in the near future

@@FishEyess obviously he is very skilled, obviously I couldn't do one third of what he did, I just thought it was strange to regard him as some kind of god player haha he had luck, he used that luck, but saying he is the person that deserved the WR the most is a bit to much for me
She was so skilled. She just needed the lucky seed. No need for the lucky rates.
this is amazing it really is and takes alot of skill but if your game can be beaten under 10 minutes... its saying something about progression and overall challenge of the game
