I kind of see Luis Miguel as a Michael Jackson meets Frank Sinatra. He started out at a young age and continuously grew in popularity with a decent bit of pop music just as Michael Jackson, but at the same time he has this huge voice and marketed on old classic songs like Frank Sinatra

I was hesitant about watching the Luis Miguel series. It’s obviously almost impossible to top that singer and his personality. But Diego did a great job. His voice is not as powerful as Luis Miguel’s but it gets close enough and his acting was really awesome. Actually Luis Miguel’s singing range is at times could reach Freddie Mercury’s level. Especially back in the 90’s. There’s a medley of songs including La Incondicional from back in the 90’s that shows how powerful his voice was and still is.
It’s such a sad story. Everything Luis Miguel endured with his father. The time he made him choose between him and his mom was heartbreaking😢 I hope more people get to see the series! “El sol de Mexico” siempre sera

@@robd1329 Their voices are different, therefore it's impossible to imitate him completely without putting at risk your own vocal health. But you can use the same resources Luis Miguel uses to achieve a very similar vocal result, that's what Diego and his coaches did. Obviously it's impossible to sound like a copy of Luis Miguel, just like it's impossible to look exactly like him because every person is different. But the work that he does is extraordinary, Luis Miguel is a deeply talented individual, and Diego is just a normal dude who sings, he had to learn a lot of vocal tricks to achieve this.
One thing I really think the US missed during the 90s was Luis Miguel’s music. Never too late to enjoy one of the most delightful experiences life has. Go watch Luis Miguel the Series it’s the best way to experience his music, through his story.

Well part of the reason for that was because Luis refused to crossover into English mainstream music. He did say he had always considered it but just never came to fruition. And somehow even then he was still pretty well known here. Man there will never be another quite like him.

Im from Argentina. If you didn't watch the series Luis Miguel on Netflix you should. Its a great show full of realism, very deep and emotional. I highly recomend it. And the music is soo good.
As a mexican/american I can tell you that I've lately been speaking with an argentinian accent ever since watching Hugo's and McCluskey's role 😂😂 and tbh i'm kinda likin it haha
