Loved that drive up to Smokey Mountain and out to Alstrom Point. Crosby Canyon is also a fun drive.
Yeah, such amazing scenery
Enjoyed your video! Southern and central Utah is my favorite places for off roading and making videos.
It is a absolute beautiful place
Great trip! I took Poison Springs canyon a couple years ago and camped at the spot where Butch Cassidy was carved. Then we kept going and camped at Sunset pass. Then we headed into the Maze and it looks like you guys headed south towards Lake Powell. Then we spent the next 3 days running to the Dollhouse and then to the Maze overlook and then up the Flint switchbacks. Did that trip with a couple other rigs and I was in my Powerwagon! Great memories
It is an awesome area of the country. We are mapping full trail guides for Poison Springs (if we can cross the Dirty Devil), Flint Trail, Maze Overlook, Doll House, Cleopatras Chair and Panorama Point as those trails are world class!
Man I wish I had a group of friends like this. So much fun!
Most offroaders are family, doesn't matter if you known them forever or just meet them 10 seconds ago. That is one of the reasons offroading is one of a kind. -- Thank you for watching.
Nice trip. And video
Might think about another word for “stunning” 😉
Hahahhaa, yeah. But sometimes a word is appropriate. The views were something else.
My wife and I did the steps in 2018. We loved it!!!! Many great memories were brought back with this video. Like the older couple in their Toyota Highlander we met on Smokey Mountain Road, white knuckled on the steering wheel asking in a stuttering voice, "how much further to Escalante"? County road doesn't always mean a good road out there as the trail of car parts attested too. We spent a night above Kelly Grade overlooking Lake Powell and another night at Alstrom Point, magical. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Sounds like an amazing adventure. Thank you for watching and sharing your story.
Love this trip. I wish i join this group. Lot of fun
This was one of the best trips I have done. Where abouts do you live?
If ya get a chance, visit the Museum of the San Rafael. Lots to see.
Will do! That area of Utah is one of our favorites. So much to see and do, and so much history. We will put that museum on our to-do list!
Amazing! Utah is very unique!
Really is
Always the same thing with those Synergy guys! I wheeled with them.
hahahaahaha. Thanks for watching
Another great video! I took a week long Utah adventure, the beginning of the month. We ended up getting rained on for a few days and nights, but damn, it was still amazing. Can't wait to get back.
The trails and views of Utah are something amazing. What all trails/areas did you hit up?
That was an awesome adventure with the Jeepn Gypsies!
We couldn't agree more
i have been going to powell since i was 1 year old. houseboats, jetskis, speedboats, hiking, adventure! i would soooooo love to take an overland trip to powell and campout on the shoreline. hopefully this video will show me how i can make this a reality. than you!
Also head over to our website. We don't have the whole area mapped, but we have enough.
Have fun and be safe
@@Trailsoffroad i will do that! thanks for your response and stay safe out there
Thank you, you too
I did this starting in Page a few years ago was definitely one of my favorite adventures so far. NIce video reminder for me.
Yeah, a great area. Very scenic. Thank you for watching
What was your favorite part?
Great video Josh!
Thank you ;)
I live in Utah and have used so many of your maps and GPS routs, but I have not seen a "poison springs" trail here, only in AZ. Will you put together a trail list for this video please?
Let us work up that list. I will either put it up here or in the blog. You can also reach out to the JeepinGypsy's as they regularly host runs down these trails.
Great film great country you are lucky to have these areas to drive,do you ever go on your own
We don't do trips on our own because if something happened, we could end up in deep trouble without another vehicle.
And thank you for watching
Great looking adventure. Relieved to see worst situation was just one rig getting bogged down in mud by the lake. Do not like seeing rigs suffering serious damage mishaps.
Yeah, no one likes to see people break on the trail. A lot of us have been there and most people never want to do that again. Thank you for watching.
Awesome Video!!!!! What was your favorite area along this trip? I live that first canyon.
I think Day 1 was pretty legendary.
Thank you for watching. The whole trip was legendary. It is hard to pick just one part.
I will go there whit my son :-) Next September. From easter Canada, it will be a good trip:-)
My only concern will be, 4xe Rubicon whit 33'' will be oki, do I need more lift?
Great video and love Offroad apps and Website. :-)
That sounds like a fun trip! The Baby steps portion will be a struggle on a stock non lifted vehicle. All the other trails though, no issue!
So, what is the story behind the burrito? Everyone loves a great burrito story!
You got to run into me some time and ask. - Josh
This was a great trip. Where is a place you have been that you want to go back to?
Thank you for watching
I've been out with Mark and Paula on their adventures. They are awesome.
That they are. Great people to know.
Awesome
Thank you, and thank you for watching.
What time of year was this? Was this before the poison spring flood or after?
This was June I believe it was.
You follow close eating dust from the truck in front.?
Not ideal, we usually try to space out far enough to stay out of the dirt. Most of the time we are in the dust is either the wind is blowing direct at us, or going through turns.
I'd like to see just regular jeeps and 4x4s off roading. All these rigs have thousands of dollars added.
The Jeep I was driving was near stock. All it had was 37 inch falkens and rock jock lift.
Whats your idea of a regular jeep?
Can you give the location of "the best view you've ever seen" or at least the specific trail it's on? I'd love to at least see that at some point.
Give me a hint where I said that (Time in the video). Thinking back, there was a lot so it is hard being old hahahaha. Are you talking about the spot at 12 minutes?
I dug extra deep for this one, but that spot at 12 minutes is on Smokey Mountain Road at 37.18795576753989, -111.45142181362813
Was that it?
Was that lone rock beach where he buried it?
Send GPS coordinates and I will let you know.
As of today, the link is generic to TOR, not to the GPS route. Please fix.
On this trip there was a bunch of routes. Here is the one for Alstrom Point www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/3434-alstrom-point
Another winch out video and no winch blanket used for safety. What's with that thinking?
There was, it might be what you see laying on the ground (fell off), that or it is out of field of view. They were also synthetic ropes.
Lessons stay away from water in remote areas...don't need to ruin
yeah, the mojave road has a few of those spots you want to avoid the wet areas too.
