There is one single problem with the VA system for disability compensation. That problem is ACCOUNTABILITY!! There is no accountability for these ratings people. They take endless amounts of time to do their jobs and error rates are just dismissed. If there was accountability to get claims processed in a timely manner and also to provide solid guidelines on their process then the whole system would be 100x better.

Don't you still have to go through the C&P exams - how was that one veteran to get their claim in three days?
From my experience, most people still get an exam so I would always be ready to take one. Sometimes people just get lucky haha.
